I'm unsure, the tattoo artist that did my tattoo was based out of Marshall. My skin has gotten thin as I've aged, so I guess that's why it bleed out. Not really happy about the whole transaction. The artist was interested in his work but...The vibe was no different than any other shop. read more

wow! I got a tattoo from here with a friend almost exactly a year ago. I was a little nervous, because truthfully it was a last minute "thing" a coworker and I wanted to do while in town for a training. Luckily for us they had an opening like right after the training was done, be ause someone had canceled, and we could be fit in. I feel terrible that I cannot remember who did our tattoos, but they were the nicest guy ever. Like seriously, most of my past experiences I felt like I was an annoyance or what I wanted was too lowly for them, but this guy was soo incredibly nice, even offering to fix a really really old tattoo I got when I was 18... which now looking back, (and looking at that tattoo....) I wish I had taken him up on the offer, because it was super affordable and how cool is that?! I really really want to go back... for something new... and to get that ole' thing fixed up and pretty again. I feel terrible I cannot remember his name, but he sat in the front- more secluded area, and was super social- just an all around nice person - oh and also after about a year, it still looking fabulous for both of us read more

I went in after going to a number of other Lansing tattoo shops and not feeling right. Kevin the owner listened to my vision and looked at my inspirations photos and told me a guy Conley would be a great fit. I met with Conley. Conley obviously cares. He is the type of guy to tell you his opinion because he cares. He told me how other shops may do what I was requesting buy why he suggests having the scale of the images be bigger and I'll be happier and why. This caught me off guard. A tattoo artist who has the courage to tell me no and why. I was hooked. I also must add that Conley is not a steriotypical tattoo guy! He is a real artist, and an amazing one at that. He is a USA veteran and father. He was slow to open up but after having him do a tattoo, I got to know him. The times I've been in here, 10 or so 3 hour plus sittings, I've laughed my butt off with these guys Kevin and conley and steve. Real guys, hard workers, honest men, trying to serve people and have a good time doing body art. My encouragement is to go here if you want a tattoo, definitely go there if you want ARTWORK and be open. Open to collaborating with your artist. I have approached each tattoo as a 50/50 thing. I bring the inspiration and vision or plan A and plan B, and let my artist get involved. It's healthy pressure and he has to feel confident. It's more honest and feels good. Make sure to tip!!! Since January 2015 2 partial 3/4 sleeve all from Conley at the Tattoo shop. This place is a gem in Lansing. Their books are not updated so don't bother looking at them, bring your own inspiration and be willing to compromise. read more

Went for my 1st Tatt, went with my Sis & another girl... I went in nervous and scared... Left out unsure if I would do it again. But now that the healing is done... the more I look at it the more I want to go back for a second. As a matter of face, I will be going back for a second. Kevin has a very relaxing personality, yes for all the giggles and laughs he was also very professional & sanitary. Took the time to answer every question we had, and we had a LOT of questions. I went to a tattoo shop before I came here and the customer service was so horrible I didn't even want anyone from there touching my body. So then I found the tattoo shop and looked at Paul's work and loved everything. So I told him what I wanted and he was so easy to talk to and helpful he drew it up and did it right that day. I told him about how bad the other place was and we talked and he made me comfortable. The tattoo came out absolutely perfect. Exactly what I wanted but better. I am so happy things didn't work out at the other place. The tattoo shop is where I will be coming for all of my future tattoos. read more

Love this place. I have gotten tattoos done by James...he's even finishing up my back piece that was started elsewhere (no longer in the area where started). He captured the vision I had for that, and did a new sugar skull in black/gray a tribute to my dad. He's done two for my son that he had designed himself...again nailed the vision. Great artist, and fun to chat with during the session. I have another new request as soon as the shading is done on my back. We always go to this shop! read more
