If you walk a few steps towards Salita Serbelloni and climb all the way to the top of the stairs and turn left, there's better and cheaper gelato at Gelateria del Borgo.

The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The gelato bar is located right near the entrance to the restaurant and has its' own separate line and entrance, so you don't have to wait in the restaurant line.
