In Dec 2019 I was quoted by Jeff Walstrom $775 for health ins. for the 2020 year. I agreed to the…read morepolicy and enrolled in auto debit for the pmts. In Jan of 2020, I received an email from Jeff Walstrom stating my ins. would go up to $910 a month effective Feb 1, 2020. I complained and reminded him he quoted me less than 30 days ago, so he agreed to honor the $775 price through May of 2020. In May of 2020, I was charged 910.00 which was not supposed to happen until June of 2020. Then in June of 2020, I was auto debited $1035 without any notification from Jeff Walstrom or BCBS. I emailed him several times and sent him a copies of the rate sheet he provided. Jeff stated the rates increased again in June and the rate sheet was now expired. Now I am paying over $1035 a month for a policy that was originally quoted at $775. My rate was increased of $261.76 in 6 months. I also never approved the auto debit amounts to raise or be changed without my knowledge, so I am filing a BBB complaint. Jeff Walstrom is not a good agent, nor is he good with communication, nor does he follow-up on anything. He quotes you and enrolls you into auto debit, then takes more money that he is supposed to. CHECK YOUR AUTO DEBIT if you have a policy with him.

It took MONTHS to finally get them done and this was after filing an extension so it wasn't even the busy time of year. I asked her SEVERAL TIMES what the cost would be and she NEVER RESPONDED. Stupidly, I thought it would be reasonable and proceeded. My dad does not have a large income and does not have super hard taxes or lots of forms. She charged us SO MUCH MONEY. Way more than I have ever paid and I have way more difficult taxes then my dad does. LASTLY, it turns out that he owed more money then what she said so we were surprised to receive a bill from the IRS almost a year later to pay in addition to what we had already paid via Block. Do not have Judith Burgess do your taxes. She is terrible and we will NEVER use this location of Block again. Truthfully, she should be fired as I have emails reflecting all of these claims.

So on a whim I thought 'H & R Block!' I always see their ads and thought that if millions of people use them, why not us?! It ended up being a great decision. The woman at the front desk was so nice and welcoming, and Judy Burgess, who prepared our taxes, was wonderful to work with- knowledgeable, quick, and pleasant. We had a frustrating experience with our previous accountant. We also experienced penalties and additional stress due to mistakes that we felt should have been avoided. When we asked for clarification on completed vs. incomplete work and discussed reimbursement for unfinished services, communication largely stopped. We had hoped for a more professional and proactive experience. Unfortunately, we ended up needing to seek help elsewhere to get our records cleaned up and organized.
