Further, we went weeks without communication and had to initiate follow-up several times, which is frustrating when turning to human tax professionals for support. Finally, to top off the blatant disregard for customer relationships, we were denied a meeting to discuss our concerns and request for a refund due to all of the challenges and poor services rendered. I'm disappointed in our experience this year and sad to have to take my business elsewhere.

It wasn't a great experience so we called our usual Tax Analyst, Vickey Bailey. We told her we wanted to go in to get her opinion on our already filed 2025 taxes. She spent an hour going over our taxes making sure they had been done correctly. When all was done, she ended up getting us back $800 through the Homestead tax. If you own your home and over 65 then you can get your house tax returned. Vickey is very knowledgeable about the current tax programs. We will definitely return to H&R Block again next year. Keep up our tradition. Very satisfied when we walked out knowing she had found us some extra money that the other place had not known about. Need peace of mind when it comes to tax time....take them to H&R Block!!

I came to HR Block when I discovered an unexpected and urgent tax issue from the state claiming I…read moreowed over $2,000 and that my bank account would be seized if I didn't respond within 30 days. Despite being told by Pearl at H&R Block that they would help me with this issue and call the state of KS, to this date, nothing has been done despite my repeated checking in. This has left me in a very bad position. To clarify further, I came in on September 16th and filled out the paperwork with Pearl so that they could discuss my taxes on my behalf. The tax professional told me she would call the state for me to clarify what this unexpected bill was in regards to. I called this H&R Block to check in on Friday the 18th and she told me she would call the state next week and get back to me when she had. I said okay. Well Friday of next week (the 25th of September) comes along and I still haven't heard anything. So I politely dropped in on Saturday the 26th, she explained that she didn't have time last week but she would call them Tuesday and be on the phone all day if she had to. I told her that this was very important and that I would be in a factory in Maine with little cell service working long hours to install automation equipment for making Covid19 supplies for the next two weeks and through the weekend. I was counting on her to help me take care of this urgent issue. I left feeling assured that she would. Well unfortunately Friday the 2nd of October came along and still I had not heard anything. I started leaving messages to this H&R block location. It is now Tuesday the 6th of October and I have heard nothing from this H&R Block location. I am posting this review while still out of town from Maine and under considerable time pressure to get factory automation equipment running to supply for the pandemic. I feel greatly let down that I trusted them to help me resolve this urgent tax issue and they have blown me off for three weeks now while I am left with minimal resources at the moment to resolve it myself.
