I called last week because I had extreme tooth pain and got an emergency appointment because I seen they take my insurance. The initial appointment was $128 because it was an emergency appointment. They took Xrays & prescribed antibiotics for 1 week. I was to come in today for 2 teeth extractions. Im antibiotic prophylactic, meaning because of my heart condition I have to take antibiotics for 1 week before any dental work. They said medicaid would pay for the 2 extractions. I waited almost 3 hours, and when I finally got to the back, the dentist wasn't there. There was a temp dentist. She tells me she cant do it because there isnt enough time today. So, I basically took off work and took antibiotics for a week for nothing. I have to repeat the whole process again and deal with this pain for another week. I decided I will not be going back, and Im currently looking for another dentist. Minus 1 dental assistant, they were unprofessional and kept going back and forth talking about what they should do so that they didnt miss their lunch break. The "call center" that schedules appointments is not even in Monroe, so they don't know what services this office offers. I was guaranteed they offer sedation for routine dental visits and fillings, only to find out that service is only offered in Baton Rouge. Need to be able to call directly to the local office and talk to their personal staff. read more

On 11-12-2024 my Grandson was to have caps put on 2 back teeth. I took my daughter to Monroe for his appt. . My daughter said she could see him as procedure takes place. When I walked in, I saw only his feet, my daughter was not allowed in the back...boy is 8. They would be giving him "Laughing Gas" sedation, with no parent allowed present. I was not happy, informed them my GS did not know these people. (He was taught to not trust strangers), Receptionist said he is with THE DENTIST!...I said "I don't care, he doesn't know them!" "They have the door shut, we don't know what is going on!" The Dental Assist. came out and I said the same to her!, She said she was not going to talk to the Grandmother. Finally they let her go back to where her son was. I left the office. Well, They do not want her to return, she was given referrals! With this kind of parental disrespect, My daughter will go where she can feel her son is safe and properly cared for. No I did raise my voice, Did NOT scream/curse or throw insults. When I showed up for my appointment last week, I was told that I wouldn't be able to have my x-rays, cleaning and exam done the same visit. I'm a previous client, and I'd had these services performed during the same visit previously. Their clinical team leader, Ikema Chew, said it would be impossible, and with arrogance bordering on nasty, she suggested I seek care elsewhere. I spoke to the office manager, Kim Stoker, yesterday and she too said it wouldn't be possible. I'm almost sixty years old and have had x-rays, cleanings and exams performed by every other dentist's office on the same visit, and that covers quite a few. If all the others were all able to accomplish it, why can't Taylor Dental? Too many moving parts?! I had an appointment on June 18, 2024 at 11am. I scheduled the appointment through their call center. When I walked in the office the front desk clerk said my emergency visit charge would be $128.00 so I canceled and walked out. I called the call center back and nowhere did it have my visit setup as an emergency visit. I went back and asked for explanation and why she told me it was an emergency visit charge but told the call center it was an office visit charge. I explained that the call center doesn't have access to that information so it was news to me. She began getting an attitude with me and got loud so I told her I would let my insurance know that they are doubling charging, charging the patient and then charging the insurance company. She yelled and said they weren't doubling charging and as I walked out I said ok bitch I just won't come here. Drove all way to Monroe only to find out they don't let parents go back with their child if child is 6 or older! Nope not ok for many reasons! I've found a better dentist who respects parents rights! Primary dental respects your rights as a parent and accepts Medicaid. I do not recommend Taylor dental at all. They need to inform people of their crazy ridiculous rules before they drive all way out there. read more

Worst dental experience I've ever had. They don't care if you're in pain you just get blown off. Seeking second opinion. Do serious research before you choose a place to do your dental work? On Jan 5 my daughter had a 4pm procedure to be done, while I was signing her in, a receptionist stated that the Dr wanted her to be seen by someone else, I then asked why, they escorted my daughter and I into a consultation room, and proceeded to tell me on my child's last visit which was December 9th that the Dr said he had to pick her up off the floor along with 2 other dental assistants which is a lie, my daughter behavior isn't anything of the sort I am always in the room with my children when they are having a procedure. I could not wrap my mind around them lying on my 10 year old I am always in the room with them, I stated that to the tech, I told her how the Dr and Dental assistant told her how good she did , When I was leaving i.noticed a dental assistant from my daughter December 9th visit smirking at me on that particular visit she stated how I could not be with my daughter my daughter had a December 8th appointment where I was with her to be a comfort, I realized that Dental assistant who told me I could not be with my daughter on her appointment this stemmed from her. When "Taylor Dental" who was formerly "Kool Smiles" I had great repoire with the Dr and Dental Assistants my daughter asked me "Why did they lie on her" I don't have a answer for her this is so disgraceful to lie, To slander my daughter name is beyond disturbing, All in All they didn't want my daughter there as a patient but to purposely lie is beyond insulting just want others to know, Blessings read more
