Rented tables and chairs for an event and the wooden tables were awful. First I never expected old wooden tables. These tables should be in a dumpster, not allowed to be rented for events. I received several splinters while setting up. The one star that I had to give is not deserved. read more

Over three weeks ago, my son called the Taylor Rental location in Hattiesburg from his home in Kansas City, MO to rent a six-man golf cart for the USM season opener on August 31. I have a broken foot, and our daughter has a spinal cord injury that makes it difficult for her to walk very far. The golf cart was going to make the game, and the tailgating before hand, possible for us both. My son called Taylor Rental on the morning of the 31st to say he was on his way and was told to "come on." When my son arrived at Taylor, there was no reservation in his name, but the guy said "no problem," and they did the paperwork and my son paid for the golf cart. As he was driving off the lot, a guy from Taylor Rental came chasing after him and told him he had to bring the golf cart back. Someone else was there to pick it up. It took over half an hour to get a refund, all while the guy they gave it to was trying to load it on a trailer that was way too short. He drove off the lot with the back end of the golf cart hanging off the trailer. Not having a golf cart made it very difficult and painful for us...our experience was not what my son had worked hard for it to be for us. The issue is on your end. I'm wondering why the guy they gave the cart to, (who, by the way showed up at five minutes before closing) wasn't told "sorry." My son had reserved it weeks ahead of time by phone, gave all his information, but the person on your end didn't manage to get it into your system. This review got one star, as a star had to be given in order to write the review. I hope it is helpful to others who may be considering renting from Taylor. That was a bad way to do business, a total waste of time for my son, and a major inconvenience and disappointment for our family. Bad form, Taylor Rental, bad form. read more

Long story short: The person at the counter was rude and denied us service because he disagreed with us wearing a mask a few months ago, in the height of a pandemic, while in a business that enforced them, and a city mandate enforcing them. He made a real ass of himself those few months ago and denying us service now for his behavior then is childish. Normally I'd encourage supporting local but in this instance Sunbelt Rentals was right down the road. They were friendlier and had a better price for what we needed. Don't waste your time or money at Taylor's Rentals, locals like this are bad for the community. read more

These folks had equipment that no other rental company offered and on short notice. Very helpful and very personable. Treated me as though we've been friends for years....and as an out of town commercial contractor, I appreciated that service. I highly recommend and I will continue to use them as my needs arise.
