I very rarely purchase cards with stock greetings in them. Instead, if I am looking for a card for someone, I browse through her large stock of blank cards. Some piece of artwork inevitably catches my eye, and I will write something inside that ties in with that art and I will write my version of "happy birthday", or whatever. Rheba stocks boxes of cards that offer alternatives to so much that I see at other stores, namely 80% of cards marketed toward women and 20% of "manly" cards with fishing gear or guns, etc. Again, I look for ones that speak to me and that I think will express me! Lastly, Rheba always greets me sunnily when I enter. There happens to be a place near the Home Depot that A) got rid of most of its blank cards and B) is staffed by women who seem to look at me when I come in as if thinking "How did HE get in here?"
