Sure, there are exits all along the road, but some are close to I-88 and some are in the middle of the quaint, little towns that dot southern New York. Schenevus, however you pronounce it (we asked a local and I can't remember), is one of those towns. And this gas pump is clearly as back-woods as you can get. You can't pay at the pump, you don't pay in advance, and there is one pump handle per grade of gas. When you lift the lever to start pumping the old fashioned meter starts rolling as you depress the handle. The store was just your regular convenience store... nothing special. I didn't like how the employees were discussing their business problems with the customers, as I thought that was unprofessional. Perhaps in Schenevus everything is open and shared. While I never try to end up in this little town, I seem to find myself getting gas here several times. If you want an old fashioned experience, come here.

Just went into this shop to buy beer. My friend lost his ID and showed a picture of it, and she…read morewouldn't let him buy it. So I showed the cashier my physical ID and I would buy it. She refused to sell it to us because she said it's illegal for her to sell it to me after someone with no ID came up with it. My friend is 3 years older then me. The cashier is in the wrong and doesn't know the law because I can buy it since I have my ID and it's my responsibility on what happens with the beer afterwards. Honestly this place should train their staff better since their staff are incompetent and should know what the law truly is. Never will come this place and recommend my friends in the area to avoid this place going forward.
