I had a really bad experience with Tayne Law and I feel obligated to warn others. I was asked to Zelle $600 before signing any agreement, under the impression that this would be their total fee. No contract, no written terms--just "send the money so we can get started." A few days later, they finally sent me a contract, and when I read it, I was shocked. According to the agreement, I wouldn't just be paying $600--I'd be required to pay 20% of the full amount I owed to my creditors as a "fee" to Tayne Law, on top of monthly charges. To be clear: if I owed $50,000 in debt, I'd owe them $10,000 just for their "help." That's outrageous, especially for someone already struggling financially. I immediately told them I wasn't going forward and asked for my money back. I never signed anything. But they refused to refund me. They claimed they had already "worked on my file," but gave me no proof, no details, no breakdown--just a generic excuse. Worst of all, they insisted I pay them through Zelle, which they know is nearly impossible to reverse or dispute. No credit card, no check, no wire--only Zelle. That feels intentional, and it should be a major red flag. I've accepted that I probably won't get my $600 back. It's a lesson--an expensive and painful one. Wow, don't waste your time. First, they missed my scheduled appointment, so I had to call them and wait for them to find someone. Then they ask for $5,000...just to talk to them. Not even to listen to the details and say, "yes, we think you have a case and we will move ahead if you pay a retainer." Nope! It was literally $5,000 if you want to us to talk to you. And if I went ahead and paid them, there was no guarantee that they would take the case!! I'd be paying them $5,000 to "think about it." So, go further into debt just for them to come back and say no thanks, we are not taking your case. That is completely unethical and as slimy as the original third party lender who falsified the loan documents!! And here is the final insult! "We can't communicate with you unless you obtain a different email provider." Whaaaaa? They said they do not do business with anyone who has an AOL email address. Umm, that's like saying we won't do business with you if you use the U.S. Post Office...please go buy the services of an alternative mail company. Who in the world discriminates based on a person's email provider? These folks are scammers. Stay away. read more

The good: The staff is very professional overall. I reached out to Tayne Law group when we realized that the MCA loan we got into was unmanageable with the hope that they could negotiate better payments/terms. After a year Tayne law was able to get us a settlement but we ended up paying the same amount overall. It helped with the immediate cash flow crunch and they are more flexible if your business encounters any issues with the payment amounts. We are now on a direct payment plan with the lender that is significantly lower than the weekly returns. Legal fees are standard. The ok part: What would have been the interest payments goes to them as a settlement fee. They also do not provide detailed accounting of their "billable hours" so not sure what the work they did was. If you are in our situation I would recommend you first try to talk to the lender directly if you are still in the early phase of debt repayment like we were and see if there is anything you can work out. I wonder if we could have gotten a similar deal ourselves without the fees. We also exposed ourselves to a lawsuit following the advice of not communicating or paying anything to the lender which caused possible additional fees. Better option if you have already defaulted or have been sued or any talk with the lender have failed. We did it too early. read more

I started with Tayne Law Group I believe in July 2022, I made it clear in beginning I wasn't in a position to make large monthly payments to this matter and my goal was to settle us horrible decision I had made. In December 2023 I received a call from Ms. Tayne stating they had a fabulous offer of $3000.00 to settle this debt, getting me to send them $1200.00 to allegedly complete settlement. This I sent within a few days only to be told I didn't have enough funds in account to cover their fees. So I continued sending in weekly payments to slowly get to my ultimate goal. No communication was ever received by from Tayne after the above mentioned contact. When communication was made I initiated it. I was told Mr. David was working my file trying to reach a settlement that would require monthly payments. I stated than I wasn't interested in payments I just wanted this settled. Sadly continuing to make weekly payments thinking this file was actually being worked, I received yet another threatening text message from a service provider that this firm had never spoken to. Was told yesterday (12/11/24) to just keep blocking the #'s and ignore the threats. I informed Tayne of this, again was told to to engage conversations with them. So I decided to call them back. Low and behold Rosie at Global Soultions said she was willing to settle this matter in full for $3200.00, I told her I had hired Tayne and to contact them. Up until this point Tayne had never spoken to them. However was told my Mr. David their last communication with creditor was on 11/09/2024. How is it Rosie had no idea who this firm was. Rosie contacted me back told me Tayne requested payments over 10 months to settle this, which I previously stated I wasn't interested in. Rosie brought to my attention that firms like this attempt to lock you into such payment plans so they can collect interest on all the money they hold in your escrow account. By my records as of yesterday I felt I was only $296.65 short of the $3200.00 settlement including the firms services fees. Apparently there were fees being deducted for working my file I wasn't made clear if. The firm stated in the beginning they don't take any monies until they solve the matter. So how is it the firm states I am still $535.01 short of said settlement? My previous review on GOOGLE ment with a quick response that my account had been settled for the $3200.00, within the same time frame I received an email of termination from Mr. David and a email from Amy stating my balance and the above nention statements I have made. Do not use this organization. I contacted this organization prior to any legal action being taken against me. Within days of them receiving my escrow deposit, a UCC filing froze all of my assets. The law firm only wanted me to deposit more money and never contacted my creditors. I emailed this organization, called this organization, and they never contacted my creditors. After 30 days no progress or contact was made to my creditors I terminated the relationship. I personally contacted my creditors and resolved the matter myself. If you have an MCA advance, I highly recommend contacting the organization and working out a plan based on your new circumstances. All of my organizations were very accommodating once I started communicating with them, and provided a realistic plan of repayment to your current financial circumstances. I was able obtain a payment plan I could manage without any lawyers. Tayne Law Group instructed me to stop communicating with my creditors which only exacerbated the problem because they weren't communicating with them either. All they do is take your money and create massive problems for you. One hand doesn't talk to the other and I can provide numerous emails to substantiate my claim, stay away!!!
