I'm hesitant to post this review for fear of everyone else catching on to one of Memphis's best…read morekept secrets - - Pop a Roo's! I hate I can only give 5 stars because this place is, truly, a TEN out of TEN!! LOCATION: The storefront for customers is located in Crosstown Concourse, which is a very popular new development in the heart of downtown Memphis. PARKING: There are several options for parking based on how long you plan to be in the area. Since Pop a Roo's is, typically, my only stop, I can find parking near the door for free since I'll be in for less than 30 minutes. However, you can easily pay for parking using the QR Codes posted alongside the sidewalks or use the parking garage along the perimeter. SERVICE: The owners knew exactly what they were doing when they hired these two ladies! The attendants are hospitable, chatty, and will give you a good laugh while prepping your order. They're kind enough to let you sample the product (which is a game changer since there's usually 10+ flavors on site), and will customize your container if you prefer 2 flavors mixed. PRICE: This place is bang for your buck. The containers I posted are $5. However, if you frequent as much as I do, they have a $25 bag available, which is the equivalent to 6 containers. AMBIANCE: This feels like an elevated experience simply because of the real estate. Crosstown Concourse is the closest thing to a development in Metro Nashville. It's a diverse offering of services. So, you can grab popcorn and walk down the hall to the nearby nail salon, jewelry store, or take the elevator to the modern art displays upstairs. FLAVOR: As someone who's tried every flavor - - this popcorn is unlike anything I've ever tasted. I go back weekly craving Memphis Heat. It's the perfect mix of sweet and heat. However, there are sweet, zippy, and spicy flavors to satisfy any popcorn lover. Please add this to your must try list for the Downtown Memphis area. If you don't have plans to be in the area soon - - make THIS your reason for the drive. It's worth it!

Great popcorn! They have cheesier and sweeter types that are both great! I love the spicy cheddar…read moreand the strawberry cheesecake flavors.

I had been to AM for cocktails at the bar before, but never done the whole dining experience until…read moreour anniversary dinner. We sat in the bar area and the ambiance was just right. Moody lighting, low rumble of noise and music you enjoy but don't notice. My kinda place. Rye was our server and she was excellent. Not only top-notch recommendations but also let us know about the tasting menu- I can't wait to come back to try the off-menu one they do the last Wednesday of every month. We got raw oysters to start and chose the seasonal preparation. It was almost like frozen lemonade crème fresh, but with the brine of the oysters it just worked. Would def order again! We started with a whiskey sour and AM old fashioned. Both great but mine was so good my husband ordered another round of them for us before we got a bottle of red. I don't recall what bottle it was but it worked perfectly as it wasn't too heavy and swung easily from apps/pasta/entrees. Then we opted into the blind tasting menu. 5 courses, chosen from the menu that you don't know what you're getting until it touches the table. My husband and I are pretty adventurous as far as food goes so it was perfect for us. No shit- Everything was amazing. I loved the tasting menu as it was not any dishes we were considering and I am so glad we got to try things we wouldn't have otherwise. For example, the little asparagus appetizer was the best thing we ate, on God. Like, what in the actual F ! The kind of magic they created with those little green veggies was out of this world --I didn't even want to swallow it was that delicious. There was some kind of fish crudo with beet and kumquat relish. Weird and so good! We also had some pasta with a lemon-y butter sauce and spinach and then a chicken entree. I was getting so full by the time entrees came I ate less than half of it but the skin was crispy, chicken was cooked to perfection and husband finished them both. Now yall, the dessert was a heavenly little pot of rich chocolate with a caramel base and crunchy honeycomb crisp on top. I was so full I couldn't finish it but my husband finished his and then mine. We also ordered a little affogato and it was perfect to finish the meal. I will absolutely be back and look forward to trying their other restaurants in the near future!!!

Went to Andrew Michael this past Wednesday and did their WTF Wednesday. The inside was intimate and…read morewe sat at a table by the bar. The waitress was attentive. Overall there are 5 courses and took about 2 hours. Overall the food was very good except the entree. The spinach was extremely salty and unfortunately every time i or my group took a bite of spinach it was off putting. I was able to eat the portions not touch by the spinach but it was so salty spinach was inedible. The best thing of the night was this spinach pasta dish with pumpkin. I would just go back for that. Again, overall it was a fun experience but unfortunately would not do it again. I would probably go back just for their pasta.
