We loved this place! The service was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean, and I think their prices are fair! Our tacos were 10/10. We got street tacos and quesabirra tacos and they were both amazing. We also got aguas frescas and a glass bottle Coke. We will deff be back!

Stopped here while traveling through. Small place. Not crowded for a late dinner on a Saturday. Order at the counter then grab a table. We ordered street and birria tacos, fajita bowl, jr special (rice bowl), and chips and salsa. Everyone at the table said the food was delicious. My son said this might be his favorite Mexican restaurant. Salsa was puréed not chunky, tasted good, but I prefer chunky, I'm typically a heavy dipper. By the time we fixed drinks and sat down the chips and salsa was already there. The meal got there quickly and was hot and fresh. They checked on us several times to be sure we had anything we needed. Overall we thought it was great and will stop in again when traveling this way.

Five stars for me. I don't know how I missed this place. They are located in OliveBranch MS off old Hwy 78. Road pass her serval times and always heard great things. So this time we decided to stop by and give them a try. They did not disappoint us. The food was hot, freshly prepared and very flavorful.. The service is excellent, they are very nice. They brought out chip and salsa while we waited on our order and always checked on us even though it's a to go restaurant, but we had a great dining experience. I have tried several different Mexican restaurants in OliveBranch and so far this one is the best. The cheese dip is very delicious. The Queso Birra Tacos is the best thing on the menu . They have plenty of seating for dine it too. I love the dip or concoction that comes with the tacos. Honestly , I don't know how we missed this place, but we will definitely be back again. So far this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Olivebranch and probably SouthHaven too because the food is packed with flavor and also fresh ! If you are ever in Olivebranch are, you have to give them a try and thank me later ....

This is the 2nd time that I've visited. 1st time I ordered 3 tacos that were so small with little meat and no salsa. I thought maybe it's just that way for the tacos. Today I ordered a taco salad thinking I'm sure it will be a decent size for $14. I get back to work and it's ridiculously small portion. I will definitely not return. The food is mediocre and not worth the small portions for price. I also had to ask for salsa each time when using take out service. Will not be back! Service is okay and ambiance is standard nothing to brag about.

Not that I needed a reason to have tacos, but I was looking for a place to eat before heading home. Esmeraldas did not disappoint! For starters, if you're looking for authentic tacos, I highly recommend this place. This is a family-owned business, and the service was one of a kind. The sitting area is relatively small, but it's enough room to sit and enjoy. Overall, I will be back!

Amazing food and very fast service. The ambiance was really nice too. My order was taken by a very knowledgeable person who gave recommendations for my diet.

My husband and I went to Esmeralda's Taco Shop for,the first time today. I HIGHLY recommend you go. The food was outstanding. My husband had the Burrito Grande with Carne Adana as his choice of meat. He could not finish it all it was big. He graced me with a bite and was delicious. I had the Pupusas filled with chicken and cheese. I have never had this dish before but you bet I will again. Fresh and wonderful. We also tried the chips and dip. The dip is a tad different then most Mexican places. It leaned more toward the taste of chill and/or tamales. I enjoyed it. I also recommend the cheese sauce. We will be coming back and telling all our friends. If you like the Mexican deli next to Kroger in Olive Branch you will love this place. It is 50 times better. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was very friendly and very well informed on all the dishes. If I had anything negative to say, they did not offer fresh brewed tea. Not a big deal.

Stopped by for lunch. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. You order then sit down. My husband and I tried the street tacos- carne asada tender and delicious, chicken fantastic and carnitas awesome. We also ordered chips and salsa and cheese dip. Salsa is different very savory after one dip we were both hooked. Cheese dip is thick and yum! Finally we added a papusa. Yum! It was our first time but we will be ordering again. Best place for tacos in the surrounding area!

If I am being honest, they were better off in the truck. It had better visibility. It was right there on 178. You can't find this place even if you really want to. There is no sign in the parking lot, on the building, on the door to the entrance, nothing at all. In fact, the day we came, there was a freaking fish fry in front of their door that blocked access. I thought my wife was wrong, apparently she follows them on some shit and knew the speakeasy password. It was also actually cooler outside (outside temp was 94) than inside this place. We ate at the bar and I almost melted. It may have been that devil salsa that also contributed some as well. Anyway, my point is, eating in my car is more comfortable than inside here any day until November comes. The family is nice, I have always loved this place and Frutanas as well. The dude that waited on us was nice too. Not nice enough to wipe my sweat. Speaking of... loose ass Waffle House style napkins are not the move OTTC!! I want them to thrive but between the no signage and obvious ongoing A/C issues this and all places in the brick barn are having, it's gonna be tough. Should put the damn trailer in the parking lot at least. Geez. Food was decent. I liked the cheese dip, other dips were meh. Burrito was not as good as the truck version. Salsa isn't as good as the trucks. Beans were old and stiff. Four starts because they are good people. Needs improving all around. '24 - 57/100

Food was fine, the experience and just the vibe was pretty cool. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. I'll definitely come back but will probably go with something more "basic" like tacos or a burrito. I had chilaquiles with steak and egg. Eggs were cooked exactly how I asked (over medium). As often occurs the cut of meat for the steak isn't the best cut of steak on the cow so while it wasn't chewy and gristly it wasn't tender and juicy either. Same with the wife's carne asada - we've both had better steaks at other Mexican places around here. The pork rind wagon wheels (I think that's what they were) were good but we got an order of chips and salsa as well ($5.99!!!) because one of the kids wasn't going to touch those wagon wheels no way no how. The salsa is very good - it's the red and the green mixed with pico de gallo and is quite spicy. All in all the experience and the vibe of the place was better than the food but I'm hopeful some different things off the menu would lead to a better eating experience. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine just not great and with the total bill hitting 95 bucks it wasn't worth that. But I will be back to try the street tacos or burritos.
