But my carne asada is probably 3 star. However, the salsa that came with our chips and salsa order was fire! Fresh, spicy, flavorful, colorful. The meal was expensive and just all right. Food was fine, the experience and just the vibe was pretty cool. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. I'll definitely come back but will probably go with something more "basic" like tacos or a burrito. I had chilaquiles with steak and egg. Eggs were cooked exactly how I asked (over medium). As often occurs the cut of meat for the steak isn't the best cut of steak on the cow so while it wasn't chewy and gristly it wasn't tender and juicy either. Same with the wife's carne asada - we've both had better steaks at other Mexican places around here. The pork rind wagon wheels (I think that's what they were) were good but we got an order of chips and salsa as well ($5.99!!!) because one of the kids wasn't going to touch those wagon wheels no way no how. The salsa is very good - it's the red and the green mixed with pico de gallo and is quite spicy. All in all the experience and the vibe of the place was better than the food but I'm hopeful some different things off the menu would lead to a better eating experience. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine just not great and with the total bill hitting 95 bucks it wasn't worth that. But I will be back to try the street tacos or burritos.
