I've been coming to TCS on Redhill Ave for years and I must say I am satisfied with their service. The three ladies that work there Odallys, Rosalba and Saira are resourceful in their industry, whether it be money orders to simply Cashing a check , these ladies are on it, every time I go in it's a quick service with excellent communication and attentiveness to one's needs. Location: Stater Bros Plaza, in between Fresh Water and VIP Nails. Pretty easy to spot: they have a Western Union logo. Shoutout to the store manager, Rosalba! I'm not sure why other people's reviews stated that you only need to speak Spanish or that they only give bigger bills to certain people, but I've never had that issue before (and I'm Asian ‍). All the workers speak English fluently. But I always receive the best service from Rosalba - she always greets me and is accommodating because she knows I save my paychecks to make one trip. She even always asks if I want bigger bills or smaller bills, which is super helpful because sometimes I need to pay bills, etc. The 5 stars are ONLY for her and the reason why I keep coming back because the other girls can be a bit rude sometimes, which can be understandable because we all have our bad days. Another plus is that the fees to cash in a check are affordable (even though I'm sure they add up the more I come ). Thank you Rosalba, you da bomb! read more

If I could give this place No stars I would. Worse place to cash your check at. Paula Maggio is the worst manager to ever deal with. My company accidentally canceled a check and Paula threatened to have me arrested. She continuously harassed me by calling and texting me reminding me how she had made a police report. I went in to try and reason with her while I resolved my issue. I even gave her most of the cash back to show I wasn't trying to scam the company. She simply said no and threatened me again. At the end my company fixed the issue but the way Paula handled the situation was out of order. Don't bother wasting your time with a company that can't even work with their clients to resolve issues. Paula Maggio should be demoted and take some etiquette classes. They told me their cashing fee was less than 1.5 percent. Sounded good. So i went there and they asked me some questions, like if my employer had a local office (uh, yes - but up in L.A.). Then, wanted to take my photo. Sounded reasonable, okay. Then they kept punching info into their computer. Finally, she said she couldn't find my companys name in their database. Just so happens, there's a 'verification' number written ON the check. She called it. talked with a voice for a few moments, REchecked her computer (or her facebook page - i couldn't really tell). AFter a few more minutes, she asked me to wait a moment and disappeared into the void of the 'backroom'. A minute or two later, she came out and explained that they would have to 'hold' the check for 15 days. 15 DAZE??? i could be wrong...but i thought the implementation of the 'check 21' law mandated that all checks be processed within 72 hours...15 days is like using a wells-fargo wagon to process the check in San Francisco! i took my check and left. Only thing this place is useful for is to pay utility bills, assuming you're outta stamps and don't pay online. read more

If you don't speak Spanish, this is not the Western Union for you. While waiting in line, we witnessed the customer service personnel give money in $100 bills to all the clients that spoke Spanish, but when it was our turn, they insisted they could only give the money in $20's which was not only awkward but dangerous to carry around. The women were rude and very disrespectful to my wife and made her feel very uncomfortable. If I could give no stars, I would! Take your business elsewhere. I will be filing a complaint with the corporate office. read more

THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!! This place needs to be shut down. Their staff have no manners and the worst costumer service i have ever seen. Not only do they have poor business practices but frequently choose not to give out loans whenever they want or change their policy and tell you can not loan a certain amount even though you have been going there for a while. These people are lame and ghetto!!! I have a bank account but if I get paid on friday it will take me all weekend to get my money because they have to clear it so sometimes I would come here to cash it (so keep in mind I've been here before) I take my check in and the lady behind the counter is talking to a group of guys that are obviously not customers... I get in line and wait till she's done flirting which takes 7 looong minutes. Finally the boys step aside so she can help me but that's all they did so there I was... standing at the counter w/ a group of guys huddled around me while I cash my check (I felt like I was going to be jumped) Then the girl looks at my check and types some info into the computer and tells me that she cannot cash it because my company is not in there system (again... not my first time here) Instead of arguing i just referred her to the verification number on the check... She goes into the back room to call it and comes back out after 15 seconds and says nobody answered (BTW I later asked my HR manager who looked back into the phone log and she never did call) read more
