Adam is the ONLY computer repairman I will ever bring my devices to again! I had accidentally spilled liquid on my Acer Predator gaming laptop, and made the even bigger mistake of taking it to Geek Squad for it to be cleaned or repaired. They told me it would be under warranty with no cost to me, but low and behold everything they told me along the way were lies. They shipped my computer out and held it hostage for two months and demanded outrageous payments that were never disclosed to fix the keyboard. When that saga ended and I got my laptop back (after two months) I noticed the performance was starting to shift. My fan was crazy loud, it would overheat quickly and the battery and charging were flickering in and out and after 3 months, it stopped turning on all together. I brought it to TCTS Computer Repair, where I met Adam - the owner, and told him my Geek Squad story. He was so upset for me about the whole experience so right away I could tell he cared about his customers. I left my computer in his care, and within only a few hours he had the whole thing taken apart and tells me, the battery is dead, the fan desperately needs to be cleaned, and tells me my computer looks like it fell down a flight of stairs on the inside. Now, this was strange, because knowing how much this laptop cost me, I treated it more delicately than I'd have treated a newborn (maybe). And this thing is HEAVY - so I seldom move it unless I absolutely have to. Which means, this was something done by someone else who had my computer in their care (any guesses?). There were apparently wires going to no where, or pinched off from their energy supply, bridge support within the motherboard that was completely crushed, and all sorts of other fucked up damage. Adam was amazing. He worked his ass off to fix everything and tried to saved me money anywhere he could. Within 2 days he had my motherboard rebuilt and my fans cleaned, and within 4 days of that, he had a new battery in. 6 days, to basically rebuild my computer, when it took Geek Squad 2 months and a hostage negotiation. 6 days, rebuilt motherboard, new battery, and cleaned fans with constant phone calls updating me along the way. Needless to say, I am beyond impressed, and my computer is running like it's brand new. Adam and his team is worth every penny and deserving of the business. Adam at TCTS is a lifesaver. My Lenovo computer wouldn't turn on after I tried to replace the battery. All the instructional videos made it look simple but I soon learned it isn't. Unknown to me, I had scratched important parts of the motherboard and caused damage that is virtually undetectable to the non-expert. As soon as I explained the situation to Adam, he told me to bring it into the shop right away and he was there to greet me and give me a detailed explanation of the problem. The damage turned out to be worse than either of us anticipated. A three-hour job ended up taking eight, and it was touch and go for a while as to whether my computer could even be repaired. He and his staff went well beyond what most other businesses would do and made every effort to fix the motherboard, which in the end--thankfully--was successful. The turnover time was just two days, so I didn't miss important work by having to wait very long, and which would have been far worse had I needed to get a new computer. I was overjoyed when picking up the computer to see that it was again fully functional. Once more, Adam explained fully what had happened and how to avoid future problems. He charged exactly what he said was the flat fee up front and there was no attempt to add more to the cost. I'll spare you the details of how a Lake Worth Computer Repair Shop (supposedly specialized in replacing power jacks) took my laptop for a jack replacement - charged me in advance - treated me as if they were doing me a favor only to find my power source was exactly the same... still cutting out. I doubted it was replaced at all. Back on line searching for a repair shop I found Tri County Technical a little further south in Boynton Beach. I Read the reviews - the shop and 'Adam" seemed to be highly recommended. Truthfully I was scared - you know... once bitten twice shy. Well, the guys at Tri County know their stuff. And after telling them my experience with the shop in Lake Worth and the problem I continued having they took only a few short minutes to inform me nothing seemed wrong with the power jack on my laptop - they confirmed my charger cord/plug was the culprit. The play that caused the cutting of the a/c was in a worn charger cord, not a loose jack. A new charger and the problem was solved - ten minutes max! No charge for the diagnosis or sage advice. They are just straight forward honest business people. How refreshing it is to find a company were the staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and honest. Tri County Technical Services came to my rescue! I depend on my computer for my work; so, I was upset when a Window's Update froze my computer on the download...and then (when I tried to cancel the download) the entire system crashed! Normally I would have rebooted in Safe Mode and deleted the last download and all would be fine. But this time the option wasn't available. My Laptop's registry was damaged!!! The system was kaput! (And...because of other circumstances... I had not been able to back up my files in months. I know...dumb) So now I was really panicking! I didn't want to lose my newer files...therefore, simply reformatting and re-imaging a damaged hard drive wasn't good enough for me. Someone told me that Tri County Technical Services was better than the rest...so... I brought my laptop in. Adam said they would do all they could to recover my files before reformatting. I have a laptop that is 8 years old, by today's standards it's considered obsolete. I had it up in NJ at my daughters house so I would have it when I went up North. Since that is not happening now I had her send it to me here in FL. Well I tryed to start the laptop and nothing happened, spoke to Dell and they thought it might be the processor. GREAT STAFF Tri County Technical Service in Boynton Beach is Outstanding! Do yourself a favor - if you have a computer problem call them first. I paid another shop in Lake Worth to repair my laptop's power source problem. I was lied to, over charged, treated as an interruption in their day, and sent home with the same problem I went there to solve. Eventually I worked up the courage to surf the internet for reviews of other shops... That's when I found Tri County Technical Services Inc in Boynton Beach. Right from the minute I walked into their shop with my laptop you could tell these people like or LOVE their job. Two guys dropped everything and in just minutes they correctly diagnosed my laptop's problem. As well as look at another issue I was having. When I asked how much I owed I was told nothing! My HP Spectre suffered an impact, turning the laptop into a brick. Even the power light was non-functional and the system would not charge. After 5 hours of diagnostics, a nearby uBreakiFix told me that the computer was irreparable. But I really liked this Spectre, and I tried one more repair option. I'm very glad that I did. Adam at Tri-County Technical Services took a personal interest in my case and put his analytic genius to work over the course of 3 days for me. Adam deduced that the impact occurred during a firmware update. No components had actually been damaged, but the interruption of the update corrupted the system's BIOS. It also corrupted the contents of the computer's SSD. Adam reloaded the BIOS with the latest HP firmware and replaced the SSD. The computer works perfectly and the repair cost was impressively low. I have always been reluctant to have my computer repaired offsite - due to security concerns. I had spoke with Adam at least four times before I finally made the decision to have a repair / upgrade done. He is very easy to talk to and will give you a basic idea of what needs to be done and how much it will cost. He also cleared up many of my security concerns. So, I brought him my 5 year old laptop(for repair) , and my 4 year old "all in one" computer (for a Windows 7 / SSD hard drive upgrade). I delivered both machines on a Wednesday and picked them up Thursday morning. The "all in one" is like a brand new computer (literally), and the laptop is working great now and should last me a few more years. I feel Adams pricing is very fair and he does not nickel and dime you. My advice to anyone reading this: if you have an older computer that has slowed down, is not acting right, or just has become a general pain to use - Adam can probably help. If I was allowed to give 10 stars, I would in a NY minute! Adam is a CONSUMMATE professional. I originally went to Best Buy for the repair. They politely informed me since I did not purchase my laptop through them, they could not assist. Yet a "Geek Squad" CSR recommended a repair shop in the Boston Market shopping center. On October 22nd I stopped by, explained my situation to Adam, who provided a detailed explanation of what needed to be done. The following week I returned to pick up my computer. Upon running a diagnostic checkup, the computer would not reboot. Returned on Saturday morning November 5th at 10am. Adam explained further the root of the problem. I wrote a previous yelp on Adam at TCTS! I called him the other day that my new Apple laptop was not syncing photos with my icloud like my iPhone or Apple Tower. Adam made an appointment for me the next day and welcomed me when I arrived. Adam himself helped me try to get it syncing but as I was using a much older El Capitan software it seems Apple is making it impossible to sync anymore unless I upgrade as their greedy grinch money grubbing bastards just want to screw with long time users. I was very skeptical that both items would be fixed, but to my SUPRISE, they were!!! When I walked in to the office, I was frustrated but immediately was greeted by James. Adam is the best! He is honest and reliable and goes above and beyond. He fixed the issues and I had a great experience with him. Very reasonably priced and quick turn-around. He is very professional and also made sure that my computer is protected and recommended anti-virus program. It's best to call them about the issue so if they have any suggestions before you visit such as troubleshooting your home wifi. Went to them with a failed desktop Computer that I tried to fix on my own. He looked at it and gave me good advise that the motherboard was shot and it would cost me a lot more money to fix it. It was 5 years old and things change rapidly in the electronics industry. So I agreed for him to set me up with a new unit based on my Needs. He did a great job and I am very happy with what I bought. His customer service is also excellent and his team are on their game. I got a good price for a unit I needed based on my needs. Highly recommended! It's nice to have found a computer repair shop with honest and competent people. A hardware issue with my desktop computer led me to take it to TCTS Computer Repair. The computer's diagnostic software indicated a hard drive issue, so the estimate included a new hard drive being purchased and installed. After they opened it up I got a call that the hard drive was actually fine and it was a different problem that would cost much less to repair. I have neede to use these guys twice. Last year they replaced the mother board in a very high end compact laptop after I somehow burnt it up.and it came back PERFECT. This year, I dropped the same laptop on its corner, cracked the display and bent the metal cover. Adam gave me an estimate the same day and had the computer back to me a week later, like new. Absolutely recommend. As someone that has built and worked on several PCs, learned how to fix many issues I have come across, I recommend TCTS. I had a BSOD on my PC with a particularly annoying and uncommon code, and while I might have been able to fix it if I went through the trial and error and research to find out what the culprit was, I instead took it to TCTS as I didn't have the time or patience to attempt to fix it on my own.
