Recently, I've experienced much better tellers in the past year since I posted that bad review. It is still annoying when they ask me for my debit card when I make a deposit. I don't carry it around bc I never use it and don't want it stolen or lost. They should accept my drivers license as proof of my identity instead. I feel like they suspect me of something bc I get a funny look. I'm going to ask them why they want it so badly next time I go. I really really love the staff on northern blvd & 150 st (Murray hill) sooo much more. They make me feel good immediately when I enter as if they appreciate me as a customer! They notarize my documents and explain their answers to all my questions pleasantly. None of the other banks Ive been using in the last 30 years have been as nice, including my business accounts at Citibank, Chase, and a few others. read more

TD Bank on 216th and Northern Blvd Bayside NY 11361. Nice people but heavily understaffed. One desk person (and 4 empty desks). Two bank tellers (including the car transaction one. Long lines for a transaction. Had to wait for 30+ minutes to see the desk person. An embarrassment of a bank branch. Rent 1/4 of the space and parking lot and add a couple of more desk people- especially during the day! read more

This is the best TD Bank in the chain. the manager is excellent, Margaret is consumer friendly and is always greeting customers. The staff especially Mark and Grace are helpful as any employee can be. It is a pleasure to bank there and the free pens well, that's always great , along with the coin machines. read more

This review is just for their drive up tell system.... I LOVE DRIVE UP TELLER BOOTHS!!!! I never have to get my heifer but out of my car, if you end up at one of the tube lines and not at the actual drive up booth, no worries, they provide you with a lovely pen and a deposit or withdrawal slip. Not my favorite bank in the world , but I don't have a choice . I come here for work business , I like that they're dog friendly and have water bowls out for them and done treats . Most of the tellers are very nice , but one woman had an attitude and I hear her complain about everything. Very unprofessional if you ask me , and was on the phone taking personal calls while the customers wait on the line . I also don't like the fact that they tell us to call in advance for our change order and when we do they don't even have it ready . I gave them an hour one time to get my change order ready . When I got there they didn't even make an attempt , so I had to wait longer then I should have . read more

I don't know what to say.....TD staff are always nice....but the one that was working with me had no life in her voice. Almost rude-like. The customer next to me had made a mistake and the teller working with that customer was very nice. Told her "it's okay" in a soft its-okay tone unlike mine, which was "here you go" in a whatever tone. As I walked out, another staff told me to have a good day. For some reason, it brighten my mood from the lack of life in my previous interaction with the teller. Minus a star because of that one teller and they have one ATM here...normally, I dislike having people waiting for and around me while I take money out, but I didn't use an ATM, so it wasn't even worth it for me to subtract another star. 4 stars for the wonderful customer service I see around me! read more

This is the worst branch ever . I feel like they blame you more than then try to help you . One of their tellers Steven (or steve) had told me the balance in my account was not pending and if its still there after 1-2 business days , i am safe to use it. So i go ahead and use it . unfortunately , i ended up being negative 84$ . instead of trying to help me, i got a lecture on how i should look at my account more. I've been waiting for service for 30 minutes. There is no line. There are 6 desks but only one of which is staffed. I don't understand this.

DO NOT GO HERE THIS BRANCH STOLE MY MONEY. I went here to deposit several checks for my business. I used the drive through atm machine to deposit my checks which totaled about $3000.00. After entering my checks and my card, I found the machine had malfunctioned leaving me with no card and no checks. The machine stole my checks along with my TD Bank card.. I went inside the branch and explained what had happened. I waited for over half an hour to meet with an unfriendly, rude and incompetent teller. They told me I had to wait with no explanation. They sat me down at the desk and said they needed to put a claim in and could not open the atm to get my checks and my card out. They are still with holding all of these things. They said they needed to submit a claim, they gave me a new card and said it would take up to 10 business days to deposit the stolen checks. It's been 15 days and I've been calling everyday. I was informed by one customer service agent that I would definitely have the money deposited into my account by 12am. It was not deposited, so they lied for no reason. They didn't know what to say when I followed up and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor informed me that I needed to speak to the manager at the TD branch that had my checks and were holding them hostage from me. I am certain the checks were written out to me, with my name on it, not to TD bank. So the branch assistant manager said a bunch of bs and never followed up with me. They still have my money. The bank literally stole it. I have been with TD bank for over 10 years only to be left disappointed and in financial distress. read more

I used to love this bank for the long hours and response. Well, my online bank has been locked out for days. Online site will not CALL or TEXT me to verify my account for my security. There is NO way to get a hold of a human being since this "friendly" bank does not pick up the phone and there is NO way to unlock my account. It is worse than the utility company. This branch is by far the worst bank I have ever been to. The customer service is laughable. Even the store manager seems upset with life. On top of that I have gotten yelled at by the staff. Ordering me to do things a certain way. Finally when I do things the way they wanted I still have to end up waiting for my change. Why do I call in advanced for change, .. This review is Based on my interaction with Rene Vasqez, an employee of the bank. I came into TD extremely stressed. Over the weekend, someone stole my identity and used my card in several fraudulent transactions, Rene took the time (just under two hours) to assist me from start to finish in handling this sensitive situation. He not only accommodated everything regarding the bank, but after I left I needed help finding additional information and he went above and beyond to provide that for me. I can't speak for the rest of the branch, or for TD as a major bank, but it really meant the world to me that Rene took time from his day and genuinely cared enough to help me. This bank is terrible. We came in to ask about opening an account and were told to wait at entrance, only 2 seats and one of them was taken. Waited for over an hour with my pregnant wife for service, only one person ahead of us in the line! Saw at least nine bank employees but apparently only one person was at her desk helping customers. As soon as she was done with the customer ahead of us, she left! Now there were six empty desks and nobody working at that part of the bank at all. Nobody came to help us and after waiting for another 20 minutes, we decided that there was no point to opening an account at a bank where service was this poor and left. read more

When it was time for me to open a checking account I decided to go with TD Bank, I guess all those Regis and Kelly commercials lured me in, but I am very happy that I chose this bank! They have a parking lot with ample spaces available along with a drive through window. I once used the drive through window to make a deposit and it was very simple and quick, a perfect option for people on the go. The inside of this bank is very spacious and always looks immaculately clean, the floors are always so shiny! They only have two ATM machines which at times have caused me to have to wait to use one so that could be something that they could add that would make the bank even better. I once came here to discuss investment options for my money, instead of having it sit in one account not gaining any sort of interest. The employee that helped me was very honest and thorough and told me all of my options and which would be the best for me, but he spoke sooooo low. He was whispering, you could barely understand a word he was saying! At times I had to pretty much read his lips to understand what he was saying. I understand you are in a bank and maybe you want to keep things confidential but please speak loud enough so I don't have to lean over the table to hear what you are explaining to me! read more

TD Bank is absolutely awful. I got a TD Bank Visa gift card as a present. When I went to dinner and tried to use it, the waiter told me that it was declined. I have spent the last 6 months trying to get it resolved. Initially I was told that if the merchant did not respond in 30 days, I would get my money. No response and no money. After almost 6 months, they tell me they cannot give me the money without a receipt. Unfortunately I paid with cash and no longer have it. I have had representatives tell me they would help and call me back but not one did so. Don't believe the friendly bank commercials. read more

I have been a customer with TD bank for several years and have found their customer service in several branches to be exemplary. The employees at the Sunnyside NY branch are exceptional. My only complaint is with the Bayside branch Sunday tellers. Several months ago a deposit was made into my account in which the teller accidentally returned a check to me that she had just deposited into my account. I noticed the check and went to give it back to her. Nothing was said to anyone else in the branch.Since then she seems very uptight and unfriendly when i go into the branch. Meanwhile the other teller is just plain rude. As he is working on my transaction, he stops midstream to have a conversation with another customer who was being helped by a different teller. I've also noticed a change in their attitude with a certain ethnic group. Certain people are greeted warmly with a smile and conversation whereas others in a very rude manner. Racism among the minority groups. Might I add that several branches in LI have outstanding employees who do NOT exhibit any form of rudeness toward any ethnic grouo. read more
