I explained to him the situation, showed him properID and he assured me it should be fine but just needed to get the manager's approval, who was right behind him, looking through a filing cabinet. I got to deposit my check so that was awesome. There's drive through ATMs and one by the entrance too so if you don't want to get out of your car, or just don't want to talk with a teller, there are these ATMs for you.

The tellers are friendly but seem to turn over often. This bank is unusual in that there Is only partial glass between you and the teller, which makes it easier to talk, ask questions, build a relationship, etc. It often seems like there is a line and things move slowly. For example today I spent 20 minutes in the branch. There were three customers in front of me and I had two simple transactions, a bank transfer for work and cashing my expense check. Pro tip: use the drive through whenever possible; there is almost never a line there.

Since the bank relocated to Connecticut Avenue, I really dread having to use that branch. In my opinion, the young people I met, seemed to have no social skills. I had a very distressing encounter with a teller there, and she actually raised her voice and argued with me. That was my first encounter. My second trip to that bank, left me somewhat discomfited. I just have the feeling, that smug, but silent disdain for seniors, rules the "rules." What a shame. Young people should understand, that being courteous is not difficult, and that they are the face and reputation of the bank. (For heaven's sake, don't they have grandparents?

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a financial institution…read more I refinanced my vehicle with Pentagon Federal Credit Union, and the title process has been unnecessarily frustrating from the beginning. My previous lender confirmed that the lien was released electronically, but PenFed told me I had to go to the title bureau and obtain a physical replacement title myself. I contacted the Cuyahoga County Title Bureau and was told that PenFed could have accessed and printed the title themselves. The representative even described PenFed as being "lazy" for making me handle something the credit union could have completed. After making me take time out of my day to resolve the issue, PenFed did not even provide the address that needed to be placed on the title. I had to continue contacting them just to get basic instructions that should have been provided from the beginning. The lack of communication, clear guidance, and accountability has been unacceptable. I should have checked the reviews for this company before refinancing my auto loan with them. I regret choosing PenFed and would not recommend them based on this experience.
