The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. Their apps need improvement.

It's been a nightmare! It's not worth it. It's understaffed. There online app is always forever glitching! Today the online banking app kept booting me off and asking for a password that is text to my phone. ITS INSANE! It's hard to reach customer service over the phone. Today I closed my business account, teen account and will be closing my checking and saving as soon as I set my direct deposit at my new bank. Also we never qualified for any loans at TDECU bank. Honestly Capital One Bank qualified us for credit cards and a car loan. Therefore we decided to switch over to Capital One Bank there online banking is way better. read more

TDECU Pearland is a sad excuse with their customer service. Been a member for 30 years ... needed change for my church event and they refused saying that I didn't have a business account ... they couldn't help me. I have 6 accounts there but that wasn't good enough. The manager Pricilla ... so unprofessional, so not the type of experience I have always received from the Lake Jackson branch. SAD! read more

I opened a credit card over a year ago and this branch would be the reason I would close it. I have never had a credit card before so I went to make a payment in person and the staff didn't inform me that a percent of my payment would be deducted for doing the payment in person. If the staff would have informed me I would have done it online. Not the first time, they weren't very helpful. Also the branch finally placed an ATM outside but it does NOT have a deposit option.... I live 5 minutes away from this branch but drive 35 minutes to the Heights branch to avoid this branch entirely. read more

I deposited a cashiers check on 10/12/23 and they put a hold on my check till 10/23/23. The bank manager refused to give me a reason for the extended hold and also refused to expedite the fund verification process with the issuing bank. DO NOT KEEP YOUR MONEY WITH THIS BANK. read more

TDECU is an amazing branch/bank. I was able to get my car loan, mortgage and personal loan approved by them. I am honored and proud to know that they trusted, and took such great care of me. Don't judge by the negative reviews, you could easily miss out on your opportunity to get a loan that may not happen anywhere else. When I got my car, it was approved by others but TDECU gave the best rate. When I got my home investing load, TDECU approved without question. When I got my mortgage, they were the first to say yes. This is what you want from a BANK. Attitude is important when you are dealing with a Credit Union. Be positive and I promise you ---you will thank me. This whole bank is very unorganized and communication is nonexistent. I purchased a car that I now cannot drive for at least 2-3 weeks while the bank takes their sweet time in sending the title to the DMV which is located 30 minutes away from the bank. I'm making car payments and insurance on a vehicle I cannot use at all and paying additional costs to find other transportation to and from work. I can't get a hold of anybody who is willing to help. Do yourself a favor, find a different credit union, this one is not cutting the bare minimum! read more

I have only been a member since April 2020. Everyone has been extremely nice and always willing to answer my questions. I purchased a new vehicle March 2021 and the process to get a loan with TDECU was so quick and effortless. Avoid them like the plague! They're a small town bank that grew up due to Dow Chemical. They love to put too much TDECU internal advertising into their web banking, so it keeps getting filled with frivolous information. Additionally, I pity the poor souls that have to use any of their cards while traveling. Whilst in NOLA I was locked out due to their poor security questions. Would be awesome if you could set these yourselves and make it a self-service portal, however that would require them to have a 21st century platform. The manager I escalated it to eventually said something along the lines of "I've been in the banking industry for 20 years and this is how it's done." I will never recommend this bank to any living/non-living entity. read more

Been with them for years, but I'm leaving. They are not understanding when your debit card has been compromised. 19 courtesy pays at $32.00 and they will not credit your account until after the investigation. TDECU charged me more than the damn thieves. So upset. I can't wait until they credit my account so I can pull all of my funds from this bank. read more

I have a camper that I lost in a divorce. My ex had the camper properly insured but Progressive had a number wrong on the VIN. They bought a $2100 policy and tacked it onto the loan and changed the payments to $519 from $280 and never contacted him. He lives out of state and has provided contact info multiple times. He did not know and was making the regular payments. Now MY credit score has gone down 85 points!!! It was insured the whole time. The Credit union REFUSES to remove this from MY credit report. I feel helpless. This is the only negative thing on my report. I pay all MY obligations on time but now I look like a deadbeat. My credit has suffered tremendously and this credit union says its correct. read more

They'll tell you it's because of the merchant. Definitely not a great bank if you are looking for the usual benefits of signing up with a credit union. Their interest rates are high and they do not offer any real discounts for their clients. I've applied for 2 loans with more than half of the money requested sitting in the bank. With a mediocre credit score, I came to them to help build my score with the first requested loan. They gave me a really low approval amount and never helped with boosting my credit. The loan did not help my credit score and as soon as I finished paying it (automatic payments each month), they immediately closed the account (which does not help your score). I've received more help with Capital One in a much shorter time frame. The account I have here is strictly savings which means there are never overdraft fees and the money basically just sits in the account for investment opportunities. I wasted so much time with them. The staff is not well informed nor do they show a concern to help with anything. The worst customer service when considering they have your money. Wait time is unreasonable. I spoke with the branch manager before deciding to close my account. She was very dry and did not suggest anything to help with my concerns. I've had such great service and benefits at my other banks. They make this place look ridiculous. Take your money to a place where they will appreciate you banking with them. read more

I have been banking here since I moved to the area in August, 2015. They always greet customers when they enter and are always polite & professional. I appreciate how clean and organized this location is too. The only reason that I do not give them 5 stars is that the cash machine seems to have issues a few times a month. This includes just being generally out of service, but lately it has not accepted cash deposits. read more

ive been banking here since 2014 and I must admit this bank is amazing...first walk in I was greeted and they always have someone to help u with anything on mind...im glad I came into this bank and they treated me like family...unlike my other bank ive been using since 2001 Chase and I never felt anything for them and at times they wouldn't help me with a small loan when rough times was there...but anyways TDECU at this location have did wonders for me and im grateful for their services and staff...I want to acknowledge Kevin Tuel and Jared Dufour for being professional and polite and doing what they do best.
