HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The lady taking the orders was VERY rude when asking her about two different drinks. (Hence it was my first time there) And she was also talking through a speaker, making it even more awkward for everyone to hear... I expected a better experience. The drink I ordered did not taste well either.

Coming from Houston, every time I visit the valley for my parents.. I always drop by Tea Rush. I have tried so many boba shops in Houston, San Antonio and Tea Rush is probably one of my top three places of not sitting in first. The owner is always in taking orders with the most pro service. She speaks clearly and always confirms your order. She offers suggestions and always smiling. The quality of the teas are always the same and rarely change. The boba is always cooked to perfection and teas are not overly sweet or lacking. The distinct flavors are there.. Making honeydew flavor one of my favorites here. It is hard to find the same amazing taste anywhere else. If you are a fanatic in trying boba teas and ever find yourself south of Texas-- make the stop at tea rush!!

Guess you can call me old fashioned??but I don't know what the rave is about Boba?? I just hear my younger family raving about it?? and yeah ok?? closest thing I can compare it to is what we did back in my day?? peanuts in a Pepper, 10-2-4!!!! But what got me coming here is the Matcha!! had been reading about the health benefits and hopefully they are true?? and at the same time I can treat my family to the Boba?? Very nice place!! clean!! friendly and attentive and a bit confusing as in I don't get the palm patio tables with the green and yellow?? I would expect green as in healthy with more reference as in positive benefits on tea products or yeah the palm with more of tropical prints or tropical scene?? or maybe its just me?? either way?? Im still going to go get my Matcha fix!! and Boba for the Gen Z!!!

This is my first time trying a tea place. So I had no clue what to expect as far as taste or options. Their menu is easy to choose from and the all the options sound delicious. They serve your tea in a 16oz or 24oz serving. I decided to try the "Coconut" tea with the "Passion"popping pearls and Oooooo...mmmmmm....ggggg!!!! It tastes phenomenal! I was totally caught off-guard. The creamy coconut combined with a popping sweet sensation at the end is such a rich and smooth experience. I love it!!!! The place is small but seems to have quite a following since there was a line even after the place closes. All tea orders after hours are only available to-go so the place can be cleaned up for the following day. I would extremely recommend this tea experience to anyone looking for a new adventure in taste. Come by any chance you get....it will knock your socks off.

I tried their watermelon bubble tea. It was yummy and super sweet. There was opera music playing in the background, which was kind of weird and totally unexpected, but I dug it. Prices are regular, the place is very clean, and the decor is interesting---there are giant outdoor umbrellas on indoor tables. It'd be cool if they had outdoor seating, like MoonBeans, but maybe that's their future plan? I also tried their Japanese Green Tea smoothie with boba. It was just the right amount of sweet! Hands down favorite drink here so far.

Chai spiced boba :) Only reason I can't finish this in under 5 minutes it's because I hate brain freezes!

I've been to numerous boba tea places and this is by far the best one I've been to, but then again I've only tried one flavor (way too many times), the spiced chai tea with boba! Trust me, it is DELICIOUS! Takes about 5-10 minutes for them to prepare your drink, but they have a lot of National Geographic magazines to kill time, also the establishment is always neat and very clean. I will definitely keep going back :)

The menu. So many options!!! Yummy!!

This place is awesome! Great ambiance, reasonable prices, extensive menu, friendly service and (most importantly) DELICIOUS drinks!!!! A five-star experience!!!

First time coming to this tea shop. The shop and the cashier was very friendly. The environment is very nice but the jackfruit smoothie I got taste like water, like tasting milk and sugar combined. No flavor jackfruit. I thought it could be some real jackfruit flavor but it's not. Maybe I would be ok if they use jackfruit powder but literally this taste and no smell of anywhere near jackfruit flavor. I would recommend not to get the jackfruit smoothie. My bf has a blueberry smoothie, it's taste a bit better, though is very sweet and tarter taste. Would give that one 2/5.

Very bright kiwi green tea :)

Yay a second Tea Rush location! Perfect when I'm in this part of town, which was previously boba-less. The drinks are great and just as good as the original location on Shary Rd in Mission. The interiors are a step-up as well, even though the vibe is a bit weird to me. I suppose they are going for a tropical vibe with all those indoor umbrellas. An open umbrella indoors wouldn't go well with a superstitious Mexican but then again this is an Asian establishment. This new store is located in a little plaza with mostly Asian businesses (Filipino market, an Asian restaurant). There is also a doggy spa and a crossfit gym. I've seen many a crossfitter drop by for post-workout boba. Love Tea Rush and wish them well on their new location!

Grind Coffee Company BAD CHOICE! NO STARS! WASTE of MONEY!…read more A horrible disappointment! Never again! I was genuinely excited to try the coffee here. I stated to the young lady at the counter that this was my first time patronizing the business and that I was looking forward their offerings. She looked at the other young lady at counter and rolled her eyes and just smirked. I asked her for some recommendations... their signature coffees, what they're known for, and customer favorites. She rolled her eyes again and with a smirk stated that "these are good" as she pointed to a piece of paper with a list of drinks that she pushed across the counter. She didn't make any recommendations, just read this. Noting her dismissive attitude, I just ordered my plain coffee which took almost 10 minutes. I paid for my coffee and went on to my meeting. I took a sip and realized that was not what I ordered. She did not serve me coffee she served some kind of chai nasty tasting mess with almond milk. I had to throw it out. Needless to say the $7.00 would've been better spent somewhere else. I don't feel valued as a customer at this place. I can't take them seriously, if they can't even be courteous enough to listen to the order, and ensure it was right. Such a shame, it truly was a lost opportunity to be welcoming, and willing to take me from first time customer to loyal customer. Failed at delivering an amazing customer service experience. Well as the saying goes, "You get what you paid for", I sure did! There are better places to get a Great cup of coffee... go there instead. Too bad for the owner that this person is the face of the business and a poor representative of the business. I guess we know now what NOT to expect from grind coffee company.

MoonBeans was pouring coffee in McAllen before the Seattle mega-chain rolled into town expecting another easy corporate conquest. The coup never quite happened. Maybe somebody forgot to tell the locals they were supposed to abandon the independent places that already knew how to make a damn good cup of coffee. MoonBeans endured. So did a handful of other local joints that figured out something the corporate giants occasionally forget: make good coffee, treat people well, and keep some of that money circulating in the community that actually drinks the stuff. There's something admirable about that kind of stubbornness. No billion-dollar marketing machine. No store on every third corner. Just beans, hot water, loyal customers, and enough grit to keep the doors open while Goliath sets up shop down the road. And the coffee? Still phenomenal. MoonBeans sources beans from some of the great coffee-growing regions of this hemisphere, roasts them in-house, and then, here's the important part, doesn't murder them before they reach your cup. Order a regular coffee and there's no sad thermos, slowly reducing yesterday's brew into something resembling roofing tar. They make a pour-over. One cup. Your cup. Hot water meets freshly ground coffee at just the right temperature and slowly works its way through, extracting all those flavors nature, geography, altitude, farmers, and a few centuries of human obsession intended you to taste. That takes time. Good. Slow down. Check your phone. Look around. Have a conversation. Contemplate your questionable life choices. Whatever. Just wait a few minutes and let these people make your coffee properly. The convenience store down the highway can give you 32 ounces of brown caffeine in thirty seconds. This is something else entirely. I drink mine black. No cream. No sugar. No vanilla-caramel-hazelnut-whatever syrup disguising what's underneath. I want to taste the coffee. But that's me. You want whipped cream and enough syrup to make your pancreas file a formal complaint? Indulge at your leisure. Mine was remarkably smooth, with barely a note of acidity. Almost like drinking a rich, dark tea, except with enough caffeine lurking underneath to remind you why civilization has spent centuries obsessing over these little beans. The setting fits the philosophy. MoonBeans took an old house and turned it into a wonderfully quirky little oasis where coffee lovers, students, families, neighborhood regulars, and yoga enthusiasts can occupy the same universe without anybody seeming particularly bothered by it. The place has character because it actually has history. There's an old turn-of-the-century phonograph sharing space with a modern turntable, and customers are encouraged to bring records and spin something. Imagine that: actual music selected by actual humans. Ordering, somewhat ironically, has gone thoroughly modern. Walk up to the kiosk, punch in what you want, place the order, and wait for your phone to tell you it's ready. At first, that feels almost antithetical to the whole independent-coffeehouse ethos. Where's the conversation? Where's the human connection? Then you understand. They're making coffee. Instead of standing behind a register tapping buttons while fifteen people wait, they're concentrating on the thing you actually came here for. And when it's ready, someone brings it out with a smile and suddenly the humanity is right back where it belongs. MoonBeans doesn't need to pretend it invented coffee culture in the Valley. It was here before coffee culture became a marketing strategy. So if you're in the RGV, skip the corporate mermaid for an afternoon. Find the old house in Edinburg. Order something good. Bring a record. Sit your ass down and stay awhile. MoonBeans is still here. There's a reason for that. It's the OG coffeehouse of the 956.
