The backyard had a garden for the children to pick raspberries and peas for snack. They are currently hatching butterflies to release. We are so glad to have found Son Rise in our neighborhood. I reached out to Zada via phone and told her I have a court does not allow Mom to do this and she said she does not care. When I went to pick up my child at her location she started berating me in front of my child and when I tried to provide her a copy of the court order she ripped it up in front of me and my child. Regardless of her personal thoughts it is highly unprofessional and inappropriate to behave in front of a child like this let alone when his father is standing there.

There were different reasons to close Rainbow School. We started prior to Covid19. The school closures would typically happened on a Friday or a Monday often leaving the school for a four-day weekend. The curriculum was so good we decided to stick it out. Often times during pick up My son would have paint that would not end up coming out. So ruined clothes also soaked shoes because I guess waterplay is a big thing. Oftentimes if I was the very last one to pick up my child because of my long work days I would kind of a funny vibe at the door because Miranda would often bring me my son outside without having me come in to check them out as if she is rushing him out to me. I just thought the times were 730am to 530pm. One time they even sent my son home with a poopy diaper and what I asked for and about that it's because supposedly my three-year-old insisted that Daddy change his diaper. In my experience you're supposed to make sure the kids is diaper is changed regardless what the child wants .My son plays really rough I mean he is three. He has came home a few times with marks and scratched but being aware that Kaden plays rough I would assume it's from playing rough. Long story short Miranda contacts me about a mark on my son's face that she supposedly noticed during snuggling time at lunch but then later on she tells me Kaden had mentioned something about it in front of another adult and she is a mandated reporter and have to report even though this is literally a scratch or a little tiny Mark below as I that he more than likely got at her daycare as she questioned whether or not he got it at the daycare or at home. Regardless I feel she went way too far I don't know why you would call CPS there's been many other times were if you had something similar due to roughhousing and you haven't gone behind my back and call them CPS I really don't understand I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the consistent closures of your day care anymore. This daycare definitely gets kind of bothered if you're last minute to pick up your kid am I do things to make you feel this certain way such as sending your kid home with a poopy diaper or calling CPS on you so be aware.

It comes across in the photos and as her parents describe it as 'her' fun place to go with opportunities with music, dance, books, art, outdoor experiences with lots of large and small muscle development opportunities! He is all smiles when I bring him there and has bonded with his "teachers" - Jung, Ed, and Nicolle. They provide a safe and engaging environment, and we work together to help my child learn and grow. My son didn't adjust well at the first daycare we tried, but Jung, Ed, and Nicolle connected with him and took the time and patiently found what worked for him. He now follows a nice nap/sleep schedule at daycare and at home, is a happy baby, and is an active and bright learner. It is so nice knowing he is being cared for so well. My experience was so positive that my sister recently started her two children at Adventure Daycare as well!

The director and teachers at are unusually adept at respectfully meeting our daughter's needs. They authentically love her and work with her strengths. They work with us on her areas of improvement and make sure we have all the resources we need to be capable and confident parents. The other families are incredibly inclusive and made us feel really welcome. Our whole family is better off for finding Beginnings!

My children have been going here for…read morealmost 2 years, and yes there has been some staff turnover...but more like once per year, not every 3 months. Half of the staff has been there for years, a couple teachers have been there over a decade. I do have some issues with the director from time to time, but more because she has to put her foot down about rules and "be the bad guy." Someone has to. This is a safe, fun school with great food and facilities. My children feel safe and well cared for, and I feel confident leaving my children here. If the director is talking about me behind my back, I could care less ~ as long as it doesn't affect my children or myself, i don't see any reason why gossip would be a reason to keep your children from growing and learning at this childcare center.

If you have an infant they will not track how many bottles were given or the amount of milk the baby drank. In most facilities, this is easily tracked on a whiteboard or in a user-friendly app (Brightwheel) so this is below the norm. Our baby literally stopped sleeping through the night on days that he would attend this daycare. He came home ravenous and needed meal supplementation in the middle of the night. They tried to blame growth spurts but it went on for weeks and only happened on days he attended their daycare.... it has resolved in the week since we left this facility. You'll also never receive photos of your child during daycare. I really value this since preschool age kids often look at you with a blank stare if you ask them what they did during school that day. Again, most daycares use Brightwheel to send you photos of activities they are doing throughout the day. In my child's previous daycare he was sent home each week with their artwork/educational materials based on what they were learning. I received 3 pieces of paper the entire month there. I'm not convinced there's many creative activities going on and since there's VERY limited communication provided to parents I can only speak to what I see coming home. Masks are not worn and there are older kids coming from the large surrounding schools in the afternoon. Your kids deserve better than what the two women running this facility provide.

I was reminded that all teachers are front-line workers, keeping our children safe and happy, engaged and cared for while parents and grown-ups everywhere navigate these unprecedented times. This is what blew my mind today; it was soooo amazing to see these little angels building castles and digging in the garden and squealing with delight when they find a worm, a spider's web, a dandelion; there are 3 (THREE!) 3' long slides and no less than 3 (THREE!) castles! Or boats! Or a ship!; whatever their little imaginations can think of! And of course many forms of kiddy transportation with 2 (or 3) wheels to drive around this fun, age-appropriate play area all firmly nestled in a sea of forgiving cedar chips!! Both inside and out are toys galore; it is a-dor-able to watch these children learn as they play; social interaction; sharing, helping, painting, reading, building on manners and respect for their playmates and teachers! Each child receives individual gentle care appropriate to her age and older kids have basic school work and of course EVERYONE does crafts!!! There will never be enough glitter!! This entire operation is passionately overseen by Miss Jennifer whose enthusiasm for early learning is as obvious and impressive as the more than 30 years she has dedicated to preparing your child for kindergarten. At over the rainbow family daycare they provide the perfect setting for kids to develop and grow. We really love the teachers--every single one of them treats the kids with so much love and care. They were okay, but they felt really sterile, and my daughter would cry the whole way home. I started to feel really stressed and discouraged trying to find somewhere she would actually feel happy and cared for. After a lot of thought and prayer, I decided to look into an in-home daycare--and I'm so glad I did. We found Over the Rainbow Family Daycare, and it just felt right. It's close to our home, bilingual (which was important to us), and the reviews about Stephanie and Carmen were so kind. After meeting them, I understood why. They're also very professional and organized--they have a clear daycare handbook that helped set expectations and made me feel even more comfortable. This daycare feels like I'm dropping my kids off at a family member's house. All of the kids are so sweet and warm with each other. Carmen ( the main caregiver) is really communicative--she sends pictures, keeps me updated on how both of my girls are doing, and shares the highs and lows of their day. She's also brought a really good sense of structure into their lives. My toddler will come home with arts and crafts to hang, little goodies for the holidays and even birthday surprises and little parties thrown on their day. Every one of the kids I've met when picking up the girls is so eager to give eachother hugs when saying hello or goodbye, or even talking to me as a parent to share something about their day. What Carmen, Stephanie and even Margarita do here is much more special than any day care I've ever experienced. After just a few weeks, I saw such a difference in my toddler. She was talking more, learning to take turns, and showing more empathy than I expected at her age. When my toddler has acted out towards other kids ( as kids do), Carmen makes sure to communicate to me right away so my husband and I can help our daughter get on the right side of things. It was clear from the first day of starting at daycare that healthy behavior and kindness was a priority to Carmen to maintain a positive environment for all of the kids. I see it every day when my girl comes home from school smiling, laughing and telling me about the best part ( or sometimes worst parts) of the day. I also see Carmen's teaching style exude from my daughter when she sees other kids or cousins fighting. She'll often tell them " we have to be nice kids" and separates them nicely to cool things down. This really tickles me because I know that she picked that up from daycare . A year later, we had another baby, and going back to work with both a toddler and an infant felt overwhelming. Carmen and Stephanie really worked with us and helped my youngest adjust to the change of my return to work. That was insane and stressful in itself because my baby would not take a bottle and would scream and cry. Carmen, Margarita ( another employee at the daycare) and Stephanie have been patient with learning her cues and have communicated with me even throughout the day letting me know when the baby has taken the bottle, how much she drank or if she completely refused it and very importantly never forcing it when she doesn't want it. They've really played a large part in helping my baby adjust to being bottle fed in a short period of time, There are a million other great things I could say about Carmen, Stephanie, and Over the Rainbow Family Daycare, but the most important thing is that they are kind and generous people . They communicate when there are obvious issues that need our attention and collaborate with us more than expected of day care providers. They've shown our family so much grace, helped us through SO many tough adjustments, and have always kept a fun and safe space for my kids. They truly feel like family to us, I can't believe we were ever strangers and I feel very fortunate to have found them.
