I have a text message chain with a representative stating that they would ask for a dismissal of an infraction that I WAS NOT guilty of & they instead entered a guilty plea for it on my behalf. When I called TLC to find out what happened, I was met with a nasty attitude from Ariel James telling me that they shouldn't have told me that it was possible to get it dismissed because that particular court (in the jurisdiction of the stop) "never dismisses tickets". So I called the court clerk because I needed to know if that was true. She spoke to the prosecuting attorney & let me know that he told her that they didn't receive the evidence that I was asked by TLC to provide. When I called TLC back the following week, I spoke to Lily who started off with a very matter-of-fact tone already, then placed me on hold for several minutes to speak to Ariel James. When she returned to the call, she seemed to have an even worse attitude & proceeded to read me a portion of the text message chain (that I do have access to) where Andrew had stated "The expired plates likely wont be thrown out unless we had proof that the plates were up to date at the time of this stop. We will likely plead guilty to the ticket, which is a no point, non moving violation" but NOT the part following my provided registration to them where Andrew stated " That should be substantial enough to try and get this dismissed. This is not something we can guarantee, but we will submit this to the court to show you were up to date on 03/25 and will ask them to dismiss this ticket". But yet, I received my attorney recommendation with a guilty plea & fine amount for that ticket. Seems to me like this company is full of liars & scam artists. USE SOMEONE ELSE!! ANYONE ELSE really would be better suited to provide legal counsel for these matters. In fact, you'd likely do better representing yourself. Wish someone would have told me this sooner.
