Summary: (1) After I retained them I stopped getting incessant robocalls from the debt collector that sued me. (2) Slightly more expensive than competing law firms, even that being said, you're still getting more 'bang for your buck.' Don't be cheap when it comes to counsel; you could save a few hundred bucks now but end up paying thousands more later when you get a lousy settlement or your wages get garnished. (3) Most importantly, said they thought my case was winnable, and were able to follow through! Comment: I highly recommend calling Boevingloh & Pliakos if you think you may need a debt defense attorney. I called them and actually got a (phone) consultation that same day. Paid the retainer fee a few days later, had results in less than a month after my court date. Initially I was a little wary (B&P was the 2nd law firm I consulted; the 1st firm said my case had coin-flip odds and was maybe $500 cheaper) because I'm a student I'm operating on a budget, but B&P instantly put me at ease by telling me that they had handled 50+ cases identical to mine successfully.
