The dentists are the absolute BEST within southeast Tennessee and so trustworthy! I had taken one of my children somewhere else and was told they needed a root canal. I went to Dr. Newman at Pediatric Dentistry and was told the tooth was a baby tooth that would come out in the few months and he would do it if I wanted but the pain my child would go through (not to mention the cost of the procedure) should be considered. Needless to say, the tooth came out in less than two months with no issues and no giant bill! On top of that he saw us at a moments notice when my youngest son was in pain after a procedure by the first dentist I took them to and he fixed it in no time. I don't trust anyone else with my children anymore. Pediatric Dentistry is the best!

This past summer She went to them again to have them re-lined due to a lose fit. After setting them in place with the mold material, they became stuck in her mouth. the Dentist attempt to pull and pry them out until the pain became far too much for. spent a week without being able to remove them and recovering from the pain. went back for second visit and again the dentist could remove the dentures from her mouth and again put her in extreme pain. 3rd visit they finally were able to remove the dentures and clean out the material they use to form the reline fit. She came back home and never did have the fit corrected. she's 81 yrs old at the time. the still charged her $688. Dentures not fixed, and putting an 81 yr old lady through crazy pain, anxiety and distress. We have since moved out of state for family and home where that is ADA so we can take care of her. When called to split the bill in 2 payments they were upset. After relaying the issues with the failed procedure, continued to ask for her to come back in. 1st, after that torture why would anyone go back for more? 2nd informed them several times during the call that we are now out of state and nowhere close enough to go back anyway. ( still intending to pay the bill ) Even after telling them we would be paying the bill, the were rude and unapologetic. I assume they thought we were just trying to get out of paying a bill. Maybe they should have checked the record of the visits and issues. How can anyone do such lousy work, never complete the work the work, put an 81 year old mobility challenged lady through that much pain, and then not only charge nearly $700 for the pleasure of their company, but also get rude over the billing?

Thursday November 20, 2025 my daughter called b/c he woke up with an abscess above one of said capped teeth, my daughter sent pictures and they deemed it an abscess, called him in an antibiotic and said they would give him a drs note for Thursday, when we come to the appointment Monday! Well no note!! We were not seen in office Thursday, note policy! Even though they saw how bad it was today, after calling in antibiotics on Thursday! (They didn't have an earlier appointment) Had to go to an oral surgeon to get it removed today! Should the tooth not have been removed in the first place????

I waited in the parking lot for an additional hour. When I went into the Hixson office an hour later at 2:00 PM, I was told that I was at the wrong location despite making the appointment for the Hixson location. I was told that I was supposed to go to the Dunlap location which is another 50 minutes away and that they could not work me in after driving 2.5 hours to get there. I was not even offered an apology for THEIR mess up. Rest assured I have another orthodontist appointment scheduled elsewhere. They are extremely unprofessional, and I will NEVER be back.

My husband found that Dr. Henderson was in his network and was very near our home. Dr. Henderson responded promptly, and took care of the abscessed tooth that same day. More recently, Dr. Henderson made a new partial plate for my husband, and we are very glad for his bright new smile!

The staff here are all very personable, kind, meticulous and detailed in their work, and highly educated. I was kept informed the whole process and i left with a happy and clean set of teeth.
