I'm visiting home but I needed a solid Gym to attend while I was in the area. I tried PF which is a…read moregood place for socializing and plenty of cardio equipment but I was looking for more of a Gym that felt like a Gym. Health & Strength is a massive area with multiple rooms. They have all of the equipment you need to get a great workout. This was my 2nd visit and it's never been overly busy and I always get a chance to do Tri-Sets and Quad-Sets on any machine that I choose. It doesn't have any silly rules that make you feel unwanted(if you're a guy who likes to lift heavy and get some solid work in). I was recommended to this Gym by a friend after being recommended another Gym by multiple friends. I tried the other Gym and was unpleased but when I came here I felt right at home and got to work. If you're in the area and looking for a solid place to lift heavy and have plenty of options then try out this Gym! I give it a a Rating of 4.5/5. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I couldn't find a solid flat bench to attempt some extraordinary work but nonetheless, it's solid!!

After experiencing a serious injury in one of these classes from aggressive hands on, I requested a refund of the unused classes I would no longer be able to use from this debilitating injury at the hands of these instructors. After being told I would be given that refund, I never received it. Any amount refunded would have helped cover my $10k+ in medical expenses I've incurred due to this unfortunate situation. I have heard about yoga injuries but had always been in safe spaces with knowledgeable instructors during the last 20 years of my practice. I share this experience to warn others about receiving hands on instruction from this studio. It could end up costing you more than money and leave you with a lifelong injury.

I walked in and found some older but very well maintained equipment, tons of weights (I think the owner, Bryan, said 10,000lbs?) there's the big tires outside if you want to go that route, power lifter equipment I can't even name... this looks like a place rocky would train. It's small, but honestly didn't feel too crowded, because everyone was incredibly nice and it was very easy to work in with them, just asked and they were super accommodating. I went in, lifted heavy, and walked out with a smile. Ambiance aside, Bryan was EXTREMELY reasonable on price. I'm not gonna say how much, I think that should be up to the business owner, but I will say it's a fraction of the cost even a prorated membership at anytime fitness would have been (and they wouldn't prorate it) for the ten days I am in Fremont. If you are deciding on a gym in the area for a temporary or full time stop, I HIGHLY recommend this facility. There's a true love of strength and good old fashioned iron -it's a vibe that's hard to find in these days of chain fitness spots. Keep on keepin' on iron core! Love the space!

A lady walked up to the counter and checked in and staff finally acknowledged my presence. As I inquired if I could tan, they suggested that the lady that just checked in was the last tanning session. They were closing at 9P. I didn't challenge the issue as I checked in first and just left. Customer service was lacking and needs to be more attentive when people check in. It was like they were in closing mode and didn't care to demonstrate good customer service.

This was traditionally a "meat head" gym, but has started shifting more towards fitness center. It has everything one can need, incline/decline/flat benches, barbells with plenty of weight, dumbbells to 200 pounds, squat racks, every leg machine, ab machines, even a neck machine. Check out the images, you can see about 90% of what they have from them- notice the edges, a large place and hard to squeeze everything in, so some stuff is partially cut off. You'll also notice the facility in the rear, which is the best place for squats and deadlifts. The squat rack in the main section is not conducive for most serious squatters.
