The level of care given to my mother by the staff at North Park Post Acute was sub-standard. The staff did not provide the necessary and required support care. Her medical needs were not monitored - although on her chart from her physician and daily requested by family members. She was not given baths/showers, she did not get assistance to dress in the mornings, she did not get assistance to get to the toilet (often took 45 mins+ to get a response from the call buzzer before a nurse/CNA came to her room). The overall care was significantly less than adequate. I discussed my concerns with the staff, but was told it was someone else's responsibility (day staff blamed night staff and night staff blamed the day staff). I even spoke with the nursing supervisor, while she was polite and professional, there were no changes to the level of care my mother received. After a few days, we transferred my mother to a rehab facility in Modesto - the care there is significantly better. I should note, the lobby and check-in desk were acceptable - the patient rooms are not maintained and are in serious need of cleaning (trash on the floor, dirty bathroom: blood from another patients in the bathroom - for multiple hours, that led to blood in the bathroom overnight), and the walls in the patient rooms were in need of repair (very bad patch jobs in large areas of the sheetrock/drywall). Bottomline: Do not send anyone you love or care about here!

The clean, warm, and welcoming environment makes each visit comfortable, relaxing, and worthwhile. I had tightness and severe burning pain in my hamstrings. Dr Gill of Biosport initially diagnosed this as tendinitis. He also collaborated with another expert, Nikki of Fit by Nik and together they identified that there was also possible secondary impact from sciatica, manifesting in the glutes and piriformis. Such is the complication with identifying the root cause of pain in the human body. In January, I gave a challenge to Dr Gill to get me ready for a strenuous Rim to Rim Grand Canyon backing trip in May. He took on the challenge with a smile, worked hard week after week with a variety of exercises, massage techniques and education. For my Grand Canyon backpacking trip, I had to navigate an elevation change of 4,300 feet each way while carrying 26 lbs under the hot sun. Shari worked with me and my baby and checked her for a tongue and lip tie which she ended up having both! Before I could get an appointment to get it revised she taught me so much about body work and how it all affects baby's feeding. With the stretches and techniques of full body massaging baby, working with her mouth, neck, head, nursing got better. I was able to nurse her on both sides and we worked on latching. After her lip and tongue revisions, I continued doing everything Shari taught me and I haven't had problems since. This baby is my third and last so I thought I knew it all. It has been such an emotional experience and Shari saved our nursing bond. She is very nurturing, kind, and informative. She has a lot of knowledge and experience. The only thing I wish was done differently was the fact that I didnt go to her sooner!
