The PC consultant there from Software & More, Jerry, who helped build us our first custom desktop back in the early 2000s started his own company in Cottonwood Heights called REVO Technologies when S&M went out of business. We purchased our second gaming/workstation "Stryker" desktop from him eight years ago...AND a 17" "Falcon" gaming desktop as well for my personal use. Despite a few glitches/bugs here and there, both of these last two PCs have been performing admirably...as we've continued to patronize REVO for upgrades, repair, and tuning. The most recent purchase last week was for my wife's "Stryker" desktop which needed some Win10 tweaks due to some mistakes I made last spring with User Account Control and administrative privileges... oops. I dropped the desktop off with Chris - the repair tech - on Monday last week and by late afternoon he had it finished, updated, cleaned, and working like a top! I paid for the diagnostics/repair ($70) and the tuning/cleaning service ($70) which eliminated all of the nasty dust that had collected on the inside of the tower case. Yuk...but money well spent! We got it back home and the new Canon MF753Cdw color Laserjet All-in-One printer drivers installed perfectly. My wife is back in business! Woo-hoo. They had it one week. They had to wipe it twice to get rid of the virus and put on great antivirus software which alone is $60 for the year. It had gone from a few mild issues to completely unusable, and I assumed it was a Windows problem. Even then, I couldn't get it to boot from an external drive. It would power on, try to load, and fail every time. These two brothers went above and beyond. They methodically tested every possibility, even swapping in known‑working parts to isolate the issue. Through careful troubleshooting, they determined the motherboard had failed. They took the time to explain the process, the difficulty of sourcing a replacement, and what the repair would realistically involve.
