Almost feels like many of the reviews on here are fake. We hired them to add several new pages and landing pages to our existing website. We explicitly defined our scope of work and expected timeline to launch our website from the beginning. Many of the items we sent to David were lost in emails even after multiple rounds of Zoom calls and him recording. We worked with David and his developer, which happens to be some person outside of the US, for about 3 weeks. Eventually nothing was completed for us to launch on our existing website. After rounds of back and forth with content that we supplied and many emails asking for various items all the time, David started asking for more money and complained that wanting to launch our new pages after 3 or 4 weeks was too much for him to handle and that he was not able to work under this kind of pressure. We had no issue paying him more money as it was way cheaper to begin with (just like his service) however, it seemed like he knew he was not capable of delivering something professional after all and decided to quit. We agreed to receive our money back and part ways. Our wasted time and frustration will never get sompensated and it was clear that our time and trust to this business did not mean anything to this team. Basically zero customer service. More importantly, we really didn't appreciate the fact that they use cheap labor from some other country with language barriers and only act as a middle person. We specifically didn't want this type of service as we had interviewed several other developers on Upwork and other freelance websites, but eventually ended up getting the same level of service at a more expensive price. Basically nothing is done in house, David is just the face. Rarely inclined to leave negative reviews but unfortunately this is a fair observation based on the service that was provided to us. And each time, no call back. And another promise to call back. And no call back. They told me they'd found additional parts on eBay, and would order them. Again, no update. I finally just showed up to get them back. They hadn't ordered any parts, but simply printed out a copy of an eBay listing and put it in the box. I noticed a piece (the back cover) was missing while I was still in the office. The owner told me he'd find it and call me back later that day. He promised he'd "make it right." Made a big show out of writing my number down in marker. Guess what? Surprise, no call back. I called again to inquire. He said they couldn't find it, and they'd order me a new one and send me the shipping info that day. Oh, and he'd "lost my number" again. No shipping info came through. He finally texted days later to apologize (again) and promised to place the order the following day NO LATER. Two days later, I texted back again asking what happened. I was told not one but TWO people in his family were in the hospital for various reasons, and that he MAY come into the office tomorrow. What had happened was that I had bought a new laptop from LG (~9 months ago) and its' performance was just so weirdly slow from the time I brought it home. In particular, the proxy setting just would not turn off no matter how many times I disabled it. Plus, the PC performance was horrifically slow. Not a good sign and I did a lot of malware scans with no luck on finding any issue. Finally, I got fed up and, after a bit of research, I found Allstate. The guy at the repair shop was super nice and attentive to my observations. The end result was excellent - all the issues were fixed (proxy and computer speed) and my PC is as it should be - fast and efficient and it has been 3 months of excellent performance.
