It's tucked away in a way that makes it feel like a hidden gem within Balboa Park. It's definitely a fun people-watching spot, with plenty of activity and energy from the different groups using the facility. I really love that this is an option right in the park, adding even more value to everything Balboa Park already offers. It's a family oriented business and you can definitely feel the love for the sport and feel so welcomed by the coaches but also by the other people in the class. I get a great workout in and I am learning proper techniques. The classes are covid safe, kept to a fairly small group, checking in with a temperature scan of course (gotta be healthy y'all, don't bring your germs please lol) It's a no contract membership, you pay month to month. I personally think the price is great, and the best part is you can get your first class free to see what your getting yourself into. I guarantee you will join after. Parents are highly recommended to volunteer to coach its a great opportunity to be close to your child and their development. Fall season offered lots of games plus play offs. Will consider joining again next year. Volunteers for coaches are always a big plus. There are a lot of kids in the area so I believe that as a community it can be better than what AYSO can offer

General Admission with skate rentals is $30 per skater, but an annual pass for open skating (with skate rentals) can be had for $349. UTC Ice skaters can receive parking validation for a total of four hours of free parking. I skated on some the best ice rinks in the New Jersey and New York when I was younger, as well as on ponds and lakes in the winter. From what I have observed, UTC Ice is a very nice facility.

They have good communication with the parents and the schedules are clear. Would definitely recommend if your child is looking to build their skills and have fun!

That's why I continued sending my sons to the club. This past year was a completely different story. The communication was terrible and I was told my son would have a specific coach and that did not happen. Being on the travel team, I had high expectations and was sorely disappointed. My suggestion to anyone thinking about this club is, if your child is talented and you want a higher level of play do not go here. Do your research and find a different club.
