The manager or owner, I'm not sure who she was but let me tell you about this woman, she was the biggest narcissist and gaslighting person I ever saw. Not just the fact that she kick me out and closed the door on me and then goes and locks the other door makes me feel like a criminal and the lowest of the lowest just because I'm not dress or look rich or wealthy. This woman told me that I couldn't smoke around the facility and I said OK. I didn't know I didn't saw it. I didn't saw it and then she goes an points out the sign where it says no smoking and I'm like OK I didn't see that I apologize and then she says are you blind And I have already apologize for but this woman apparently was so angry enough that she needed to make me feel belittle by her or just not in her level or class and then she goes in sprite for locking the door treats me like a criminal. My clothes was left inside the laundromat. I have to argue with this woman to let me get my belongings and then she insults me and this all happened this month on December we're supposed to be a happy month. Let me say these people we are now old born with a golden spoon. We all work hard to honor our living, but just because a person doesn't look a certain way or doesn't wanna spend hundreds of dollars in namebrand clothes on namebrand shoes just to fit in with society, and what they consider acceptable. It's ridiculous and honestly, I don't know as a Christian. I know God would never look down on somebody who looks poor or who is poor, we supposed to give and be respectful and kind and have some sort of human inside of us and to be humble with others so let's try to spread love and not hate and let's be kind to others cause we don't know what others are going through. This place used to be pretty decent when I started coming here a year ago. However today I went in to do a wash for which I spend about 100 a week doing so and both of the change machines are wide open and empty. There is some guy emptying out the washers in order to fill up the change machine. At 8:15am on a Tuesday. Which means it hasn't been attended to since last week. My family used to service laundry mats in the 1980's. We used to go on at 3-4 in the morning as to not interfere with service to our customers. In addition to the prices for the washers going up every single week. I constantly see employees just standing around and talking in the morning. There is a female attendant there if that's what you want to call her constantly having visitors and sitting at a table and eating. Also the drivers always cone off several parking spaces so they can get their trucks in there and not have to walk any distance at all. There's a gym right next door so the parking spaces are hard to come by because we are dealing with the silver sneakers set. The water machine outside is constantly broken down and I have to pay an additional 10 cents per gallon to use my ATM card. The soda machine never gives you what you ask for. So far it's only given me diet cherry Pepsi no matter what button I push. The snack machine works sometimes. Pretty disgusted today!!!!! read more

After 5 months of traveling, this is by far the worst laundromat anywhere. Most of the machines were dirty filthy and unusable, the dyers didn't dry my towels even after an hour, and there was a children's pinball machine, loud and annoying the entire time. Now we know why no one was in there except us and one other man. read more

I am so bummed I decided to go here instead of my usual spin cycle. Two of the LARGE $10+ washers ate my quarters AFTER I put all my soap and fabric softener in. So not only did I have to take all the clothes out and reload into another machine I was out of laundry soap and had to spend even more money buying their tiny little boxes from a machine. There is a comments box and cards to note broken washers and request refunds.. It was so full I had to force and squish my comment cards in to make sure they didn't pop out the slot. Ultimately I lost $25 including the soap and softener I put in the broken machines AND after spending $20 on dryers I still left with wet clothes. There is no Wi-Fi, no bathroom and no cleaning person. This was two weeks ago and I've heard nothing from the owner regarding my refund. Why anyone would go here when there's much better places nearby is a mystery. It needs to be closed down. If the owner would send my refund I would happily change my review. Awful. Lost so many quarters in a machine that ultimately did not even wash my clothes. One of the dryers also didn't dry the clothes (at all) just spun around not emitting heat. Many washers were distinctly broken. Very bummed I picked that laundry mat today. I only had a little time to finish and ultimately I left with 1/3 dirty & 1/3 wet. read more

The laundromat I usually go to was out of service today so I went to the next closest place which is Teddy Bear. As soon as I opened any of the washing machines a strong pungent odor assaulted my nostrils. I don't think they ever clean their machines. They smell like wet dirty socks and mildew. I found two machines that smelled less bad but I can smell the stench on my laundry after washing. How disappointing for me, and embarrassing for the business. I hope they get their act together and clean the machines! Never will I return! read more

Ok so this place is peaceful no loud people,free wifi,place is pretty clean, I talk to the manger who came to check on things.., he asked on a rating what would you give this place and would you come back? As I sit here with a few of the local "Drifters" just staying out of the cold I have to say not perfect but not bad either. The WiFi is working (obviously as I am here writing this) and with music on the TV. Neither change machine is working and the hours are a little confusing. The stickers on the door state that it's open until 11 on Sundays. There is a sign next to the TV that states 9:30. OK, what is the correct time. Obviously i'm here and it's almost 10pm. Average time for drying-5 min per quarter- I've found that to be the basic price just about everywhere. If you know of a longer time somewhere else let me know. Overall, since I've been here before, i'd say this place is OK. it's usually my GO TO place for last minute drying needs. If you are not comfortable your local Free Spirit outdoor camper being in here than maybe this place isn't for you. I don't mind so I guess i'll continue to come here (with my quarters already in hand) with my last second laundry needs. read more

I know there are times when a few of the dryers are off service but just place s note on the box and they are really good at sending you refunds. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS! PROS: - location. CONS: - Approximately 1/3 of the machines are broken on a regular basis. - Every single machine reeks of mildew. The inside of the machines (and especially soap containers are full of mold)....do they NEVER get cleaned? Washing machines carry e-coli and salmonella...THEY NEED TO BE CLEANED! - More often than not a machine takes my money. They are good about returning it via mail, but it's very inconvenient if you're low on quarters. - It's dirty! Floors, folding areas and tables are always filthy. - IT'S A DRUG DEALER'S PARADISE! I can't even tell you how many drug deals I've seen go down here. I saw 4 happen last night alone- no exaggeration. After last night I will never return. It's disgusting, and I feel guilty for washing my kids' clothes, towels and bedding in these cesspools. Im a santa cruz local and have lived here pretty much my whole life. its great to have a clean well kept laundromat close to home with very convenient free WiFi! the price of laundry is reasonable and the dryers work great! im very thankful to have a safe place to hangout and get some laundry and work done :) very friendly staff and owners. my favorite thing about this place is the security, 24 hour cameras make me feel safe about taking my cpu here and don't have to worry bout theft of clothes. helps that my stepfather is the sergeant of soquel too :P HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!! read more

This is my favorite laundromat in the Santa Cruz area. Everywhere else ive tried has been either shady with some sketchy people around or unreliable. They also own the place on 41st and Gross which is nice but sometimes busy but they have a bathroom. I drive from downtown Santa Cruz to here because of the nice people and area if you really need to use the bathroom the DQ doesn't mind if u use it. They have 6 tables to do homework etc.. great wi fi connection, plenty of parking, and fresh air. read more

I enjoy doing my laundry at teady bear laundry for the size , it has lots of big and small washers for different size loads and options . I love that there is lots of space tables for folding your laundry also !! It's walking distance to Dairy Queen , nob hill and Peet's coffee ... that's a plus . When I went there there were only three other people in the laundromat. It was fortunate there were so few people because there were 4 washers out of service and 9 dryers. They have a bunch of washers and dryers but they have an employee who's there doing laundry washing service. I wish they had a bathroom. They have a utility closet with a toilet that only the employee gets to use. They do offer free Wi-Fi. read more

When I had a tiny issue with one of the coin machines, a nice gentleman promptly called me back to help me with good old fashioned customer service (which sadly is so often missing these days) & quickly helped me resolve my issue & was more than fair. Super clean facility, quarter machine in premises, lots of dryers and washers, working wifi, and convenient to our place which is great!
