I first want to say that Haleigh, is absolutely amazing and was always there to answer my questions. She was always very professional. I found myself in need of a divorce/custody attorney. I consulted and hired Tracy. She informed me of what the retainer fee would cost and of course I paid. She then charged me an obscene amount unnecessary fees on top of the initial cost. Do not expect to be in direct contact with Tracy. I had two meetings with Tracy prior to a very important court date. The first meeting she was almost 45 minutes late for. Once she arrive to the office for the meeting, she never provided me with her undivided attention. She walked around the office the entire time letting her dogs in and out the door. She even took the time to clean dog pee up off the floor during our meeting. She never opened my file to document anything I was explaining. That should have been a RED flag at that moment however I was hopeful I would get something more during court. The second meeting took place over the phone. While discussing the case via phone, she informed me that she didn't know certain details about the case because she hadn't spoken to Haleigh. She showed up to court unprepared. Her notes consisted of the timeline that I prepared and sent over to her and nothing more. She even informed me that she would like to settle because she had another court appearance the same day in another county. She allowed his attorney to belittle me without ever objecting even though she had the facts right in front of her. I never felt like I was the priority. This world needs more attorneys with better morals and empathy for their clients. I would have had more respect for her if she would have just declined to take my case if she knew she would represent me like this. She showed up to every appointment/court date late and unprepared. I was completely hands on in preparing my own case and she never took the opportunity to review the data prior to entering court. I have since had to hire other legal to represent me and play catch up. If I could give her ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!!

The NCHP officer wouldn't budge on the 15mph over the speed limit either... but luckily, I came across Welborn Law Firm when googling traffic citation attorneys in Davie County... he was at the top of the search, and I see why! We scheduled a pre-call to determine the next steps, potential costs, etc. Jon was both very personable & knowledgeable, and he advised he'd likely be able to get it reduced to Improper Equipment, but no guarantees. Didn't require any in-person meeting; he just sent me the invoice via their web portal & I paid online to confirm his representation for my traffic citation. CONSUMER BEWARE I hired Daniel Talbert to handle…read moreolder, traffic tickets for me on July 20 2017. I only spoke with his assistant, Heather Bryant that day. She collected $100 to reserve my case. After many calls and several emails (I live out of state or I would've just went to the office), a month passed before Daniel Talbert finally emailed me to mention I had tickets in another county that I should handle first which would require me hiring a lawyer in that area. So, I take care of that. That lawyer in particular took care of those 4 tickets in ONE WEEK. On August 22, I email Heather Bryant stating I'd like a refund since my new lawyer was just going to handle the case now. Two days later (over a month of still not actually speaking to Talbert), Daniel Talbert calls me once he hears I want a refund of my initial $100. The one and only time we've spoke via telephone. He carries on about how my previous tickets needed to be handled, he will take action once those are handled. He says Rutherford is small and I need a lawyer like him who "knows the judges". The new lawyer let me know that he could also handle the Rutherford ticket that Daniel Talbert still has not handled. So, I decide to let the obviously more proactive lawyer handle my whole situation at this point. Side note: New lawyer has to drive an hour and a half out of his way and his price remained the same. I contact Daniel Talbert's office asking for my refund again. I definitely need it at this point with all the money I've had to spend on this situation. Daniel Talbert emails me "Natalie: The $100 you paid would not be refundable since that is the consultation fee on criminal matters. If you would have retained on your cases, this would have applied toward fees but you evidently Mr. Roseman will be able to handle that as well. If your situation changes and you need our help in Ruth.Co., let us know. I wish you the best. --D.Talbert I contacted Talbert after that response in shock that this was actually happening. No response. From anyone. I feel completely taken advantage of, especially since I live in California. Daniel Talbert offered no resolution and took $100 from me. BEWARE! ZERO STARS

I also questioned what was the issue with my wife's daughter living one county over. She said she did not know and put me on hold. She came back a minute later and told me that Mr. Self was on a Zoom call and would call me back when it ended. She even mentioned that she said it was urgent. It is now 10 minutes until closing time. Nearly seven hours later and no response. for the third day in a row. I'm a big believer in the three strikes rule. If first impressions truly are everything, then this was a complete failure. We couldn't even find out if they would represent my wife's daughter, let alone set up a consultation. This was a simple yes or no question that Mr Self could have answered in a text. I wouldn't hire him to mediate ownership of a pack of gum. Lets hope the next family attorney I find actually believes all the wonderful things they write about themselves.
