Came on a Friday afternoon around 6, 7pm and it was pretty empty. They said happy hour is 12-8pm! Dive bar vibe and def a lot cheaper than other places in South Beach area. Plenty of TVs steaming different sports. Ordered a mojito which was a double mojito ($13) and asked about a piña colada which wasn't on the menu. Server was nice enough to make one for me anyway! (Not sure if they'd usually do it had it not been for an empty bar) Drinks were heavy handed too

greatest bar in Miami. Ollie the bartender is awesome! if your looking for a relaxing bar with great people, this is your place! so chill and laid back.

    Dirty cheers!!

Have to give Ted's 5 stars even though it's a dive, bathrooms aren't the cleanest, people could get drunk and rowdy, and if you play pool get ready to throw down, however, it's a vibe. It's exactly the bar you think it is but with a very pleasant surprise, the food is fire!!! Best chicken fingers on the beach! The hot dogs are fire the quesadillas are fire. The food is literally just bar food but so good. Love it here and great for any sporting events.

It was their trivia night, I believe there was a $1500 pot if you win. Everyone seemed to be playing. We arrived to late to join. The place was packed yet there were only two servers. Our server was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. However she managed to keep up with out party of 9. There were times we were waiting for assistance however we could see she wasn't just sitting on her ass. We order burgers, flat breads, tenders and steak tacos. Steak tacos were horrible Burgers were delicious Flatbread were good Tenders definitely looked like they were frozen tenders from the grocer. The beverages were nice not too strong but not weak. We were kinda profiled however as a black person you get use to it. My husband and brother stepped out for a smoke break..although everyone else was still seated at the table. We watched security run out after them. We laughed cause they looked stupid. When security ran out there they pretended to be looking at something when they noticed they guys were right outside the door. Irish pub we didn't expect any less. However it was kinds funny how the guy darted out after them then aimlessly looked around after he realized they were smoking a cigarette ‍

I realized that I had not actually been to this location since it was The Playwright (or whatever it was called) 4 or 5 years ago. The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. Two things here that were standouts: First, the burger is one of the best burgers I've had on South Beach. So much so that I'm craving it again this morning. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I'll be back again for sure.

Great nostalgia and drinks but their gratuity practice is a serious problem…read more I stopped by Wet Willie's out of nostalgia during my most recent visit. Years ago I'd come here after the beach, sit on the balcony, people-watch, and cool off with a strong, frozen drink. In that sense, the place is exactly as I remember, with cold drinks on a hot Miami day and a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, the billing experience completely changed how I felt about our visit. When the check arrived, I noticed the suggested tip percentages were unusual (around 7%, 8%, and 9%). I was planning to leave my normal 20% tip, but then the gentleman behind the bar explained that a 15% gratuity had already been added and the listed percentages would be additional. To be clear: I always tip, and I generally tip well. But adding a gratuity without authorization or clearly disclosing it up front is a big deal. A tip is supposed to be voluntary, and quietly including one, especially in a setting where you're already prompted to add more, feels misleading and wildly inappropriate. That part honestly overshadowed the visit for me. The drinks and the memories are still there, but check your bill carefully before paying. I enjoyed the nostalgia, yet this practice alone makes me hesitant to return. This practice of discretely tipping themselves is borderline theft.

I have been going here for years. It's always been a great place to hang out and have some drinks…read more Nice cool atmosphere located in South Beach. Service was outstanding.

The cocktails are well crafted, and the service was attentive, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. The food menu has some really great options, while a few dishes feel more average, but overall there's enough variety to enjoy alongside drinks and sports. The location is excellent, especially being so close to the beach and South Pointe area, though parking can be challenging since many spots are often taken by beach visitors. Still, it's definitely a great place to relax for drinks, food, and live sports.

Nachos: Looked like the cheese was baked on and then sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo were added afterwards. Cheese was a little burnt, but manageable. Was decent. I mean any nachos are good nachos when watching a game, right? Wings: There were six wings in an order with 4 drumettes and 2 flats. They came "naked", which had me skeptical at first. But then I realized I could really soak these bad boys in buffalo sauce to make them spicier than the normal pre-tossed variety. Shrimp Cocktail: There were four large shrimp in an order. Much bigger sized than party platters of cocktail shrimp from the grocery store. Loved the whole glass full of cocktail sauce and horseradish. Probably my favorite thing here.
