My husband and I ordered about 5 tacos and the loaded fries with the birria meat. Most of the tacos were pretty good. The loaded fries were good, just not enough birria on top. The service was good, and the place is nice and open inside. Pretty big place if you have a large party. read more

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Stillwater. The food is made from scratch and it shows. I like that these guys have brought the free chips, salsa, and quest from their OKC concept Teds. Get the loaded waffle fries, you won't be disappointed. It's also worth mentioning that this is one of the cleanest restaurants in Stillwater. Prices are fair for all the food you get. read more

We are huge Ted's fans and always visit when we are in Oklahoma. However, we were slightly disappointed in this one. The restaurant is nice and clean. We have been twice. Once at the bar, and our bartender was very pleasant and attentive. Again, at a table, and our server was not as attentive (she also had a larger group to take care of). Our disappointment wasn't necessarily in the food, but that this "Ted's Tacos and Cantina" didn't serve our favorites from "Ted's Escondido". Chips and queso were in a small serving cup with a lid on the side of our meals. No tortillias at all. Birria tacos were greasy (not saucy, greasy). read more

I would have given it less. It's 9am in Sunday. Quiet and a cooler day so we thought a breakfast to go would be nice. Take it to the lake then take the dog for a walk about. Our mistake was going to this worthless excuse. I suppose if you're a college kid living in Mommy and Daddy's money, then the subpar tacos and beer make this a hopping place. But if want value for your hard earned money, just go else where. I ordered my husband a bowl. Meat, eggs, and cheese only. I said it three times. We paid $9+ for a Styrofoam container of mostly potatoes. The polish sausage does not make one think breakfast and the RAW bacon is hard to ignore. Then it came with a cup of sliced strawberries. Which appear to have been sliced a few days ago as they were rotting. It was after their opening hours, yet the restrooms were nasty. They had one lady out sweeping the floor which added to ho loud and obnoxious the interior is. If you want to pay stupid prices for crappy food and potential food poison from raw bacon and rotten fruit then this might just be the place for you. You have been warned. read more

Tried Ted's today for the first time. Discovered that the chips a salsa are just like the Ted's in Okc so we were thrilled! We had the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. Will definitely be back. The service was also good, wait staff was great! Food came out fast. read more

Our waitress stood behind the counter on her phone and we had to go get her twice. The atmosphere is just not set up for a sit down restaurant. Sad to see this change. read more

Would give zero if I could. They were closing @ 9pm. Our group arrived @ 8:30. They sat us and as we were chatting, realized that we haven't seen a waiter. By the time we got one, it was 8:55 and had missed last call for the bar. They took our food order, we were ok as we were hungry and would soon have something to eat. We were thirsty and the staff wasn't interested in working, so we got up and poured our own soft drinks. As 9:20 rolled around the manager came out and we were told the kitchen had run out of food. Food was a 5/10. Staff is a bunch of rude and immature college kids that like to stand around and laugh at customers, not be helpful or even say a "hi welcome to Ted's." Several of the soda lines in the machine were broken but staff is too lazy to even put a "out of order" note on it. Just a "yeah it doesn't work." Ted's did not meet my expectations. This was my second visit. I found my tacos to be fairly bland and painfully average. Just like my first visit 3 months ago. I hoped they would improve. My server seemed to be more interested in flirting with the men at the next table. Considering I was there during a quielter time of the day, the service could have more prompt. First of all, it's a Mexican place. I assume they'd play some sort of Mexican music, right? Nope. All country music. Pardon me, but isn't that taking Mexican-American a little too seriously? I guess that's Oklahoma for ya, but this is a new low for Stillwater dining. Second, there was almost nobody else in the restraunt. As an antisocial, I ain't complaining, but isn't that sort of a sign? The salsa and queso were actually surprisingly delicious. However, for the kids' nachos, the waitress said it was just cheese and choice of meat (I chose ground beef) , however, I did find a good amount of tomatoes in there, along with some green peppers. Green peppers, fine. In the beef mixture, I won't complain, but these tomatoes were big chunks, and I do not like tomatoes, nor did I order them with my nachos. The cheese sort of makes up for it. It was pretttyyyy good cheese. The lemonade was yummy, but our waitress wasn't the friendliest. Not rude, but you could tell she wasn't really into it. The prices were not too bad compared to what I've seen elsewhere, so that's a plus. Only four stars bc of the free to-go queso and salsa. Other than that, clean restraunt, fillings, and pretty good in general. I would probably come back but order somethin' different. Overall, yummy! read more

Birria tacos were delicious. I just moved here from CA, my wife is half hispanic and I'm a private chef, so our bar is high. Had the Nashville taco and i thought it was unique and tasty. Also enjoyed a 32oz margarita (the stilly), also delicious. Maddy was our cashier, flustered with the new system a bit but she really reeled it in and constantly checked in on us when she wasn't busy. She happily answered all my questions. Brenden? Was our bartender/ drink server. Regularly checked in on us as well. The hospitality here was a delight. Ted's is sort of famous in the OKC metro area, and the new fast food version was a welcome addition to Stillwater. I've eaten here a couple of times, and, in my opinion, the food is comparable to Taco Bell but much more expensive. If you're looking for delicious Mexican fare, you might be disappointed. read more

Ted's switch to table service is no bueno. Why fix a dining format that worked? Tonight at 5:45 we were taken taken past open tables in the main dining area and tucked into a table in the back corner of the bar and told that the bartender would be taking care of us. We sat for 10 minutes before a bartender approached the table telling us that she didn't see us seated. We took that opportunity to order drinks and food. We waited another 15 minutes for the drinks and chip and salsa to be brought to the table. Asked for salt, which we never received at anytime through meal service. After another 20 minutes, the food was brought out by kitchen server. Two plates were correct but mine was only about half right. Shredded chicken taco salad should not be difficult to get right. Got Mexican rice instead of cilantro rice, no black beans as ordered, and no dressing on the salad. Had to ask for the dressing and for utensils to be brought to the table. Kitchen server didn't not seem pleased to have to fetch utensils. Would have made an issue of salad being wrong, but we were more than 45 minutes into this experience and didn't want delay my companions by sending it back. I've eaten at the Ted's several times since it opened and the previous format for a faster version of Ted's Escondido was a much better experience. Table service with the same stripped down menu does not make the dining fancier. I would much rather have ordered at the counter, gotten my cup and number, and filled up at the fountain instead of waiting 20 minutes to get a drink and then sit waiting for a refill that I could have gotten myself. I'm sure this format generates better tips for the staff since they are waiting tables instead of ringing up orders. We have gone to Ted's in the past to get a quick bite not be there for more than an hour. Won't be going back and will stick to Fuzzys for a faster Tex Max fix. read more

They were willing to take an unpleasant experience that several colleagues and I had at the restaurant on a rare lunch outing. They made it a pleasant experience by making it up to us and bringing chicken and steak fajitas and the whole spread to our work site. This effort of good will really speaks volumes about the current management. A female manager, whose name I cannot recall, was prompt in calling me personally to make it up to me and my colleagues. Tortillas with my taco were stale and hard. Food was unflavored. Salsa tasted like paste and the queso was watery.

We've been back a couple of times since my first review. The more I go to TT&C, the less satisfied I am. The cost seems excessive for meals that are so much less satisfying than a Ted's Cafe. More often than not, my preferred protein is fajita chicken. The fajita chicken here is actually little chopped up cubes of chicken. Taste and texture seem like it's something you'd buy from the frozen food section at the grocery store. Definitely doesn't have the taste, appearance or texture of fajita chicken. In my opinion, seems like there's not much cooking or fresh food going on here. Don't get me wrong, it's better than Taco Bell... but it's a long way from a REAL Ted's. read more

Poor poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant. Environment is close to a fuzzys taco. They don't refill chips and salsa which is weird I thought. Expensive for what you get. My burrito (dinner) was big but doesn't come with beans or rice on the side. It came with like 12 chips and a small cup of salsa and queso. There was also as most a teaspoon of pork on my burrito that was at the bottom. Won't be back and might be writing Ted's Cafe Escondido off alltogether. Ate here for dinner. Pretty empty. Staff was not invested and spent a lot of time talking to other staff. Odd ordering system. Large TV menu with extremely bright lighting that makes it difficult to read menus. Can't order alcoholic drinks with food. They give you a flag to take to table. Went to table to wait. No one came by to get drink order. Finally flagged down someone who brought a drink menu. Got food before drinks. Rice and beans cold. Drinks finally arrived after eating half of dinner. House Margarita is yucky lemon lime mix that tastes like country Time lemonade mix with some tequila. Had to pay for food and drinks separately which is annoying. This is not the quality of the regular Ted's restaurants. Fuzzy's has a better system and better food and drinks. read more

First time to try the new Ted's in Stillwater. Ordered to-go. We tried 2 different Mexican dinners, one with fajita chicken enchiladas, 1 with pulled pork & birria beef enchiladas. Fajita chicken was sparse, tasteless, & only tiny cubes. Didn't get the pulled pork, just 2 birria beef. The beef was ok but very salty & again not much of it. I think they used flour tortillas instead of corn. Corn would have been better. The flour were pretty soggy & gummy with the thick queso they drowned them in. The rice & beans were ok but small portions, nothing special. One bag of chips was still pretty whole, but the other one was badly crushed & the chips not edible. Salsa was good but only small 3 oz containers. These meals were way overpriced. Will definitely NOT go back to this place. When we want Ted's, we'll drive to our favorite Ted's Escondido in Edmond. read more

we waited almost an hour and a half for our order. while we were waiting in the restaurant, none of the employees came to check on us and we were ignored the whole time. when we finally got our food and got home, the orders were both wrong. both entrees were messed up and a side was missing from both. i tried to call the manager twice and no one answered. i called the restaurant staff and was not offered any form of compensation from them or from door dash. this used to be a place we went to a lot but it has been getting worse lately. this is the last straw. we will not be returning unfortunately :( read more

I really enjoy the food here but the wait for it is crazy! I went in o a Sunday afternoon to order take out and the time on my receipt and the time that I actually received my food was 40 minutes. The parking lot had a poor layout, and it was quite busy for a Monday. I barely found a parking spot, and I wish I would've given up at that point. Now, I don't mind that they were busy. There were more people in line than tables, and that's not a fault. However, the people who took your order were very unsure of whether there were open tables, and the organization of how they communicated about tables was clearly non-existent. The food was VERY over-priced. It was at the price of a fancy Mexican restaurant, but it was still trying to have the ambience of a casual eating establishment. They have a cocktail waitress (Only one. For the whole restaurant.), and she dawdles around the restaurant trying to take any alcohol orders. She did manage to bring us a menu fairly soon after seating. However, we were done eating (20+ min later) before she returned to ask us if we wanted a drink. The food came out quickly, which was nice. I ordered the shredded pork burrito. It was not warm, and the tortilla chips were very oily. I sent back the burrito, and they replaced it with a hot burrito. The pork tasted like someone had dumped a whole bottle of cumin powder and chili powder on it. It was seasoned like beef. Not good. It seemed like someone's estimate at how Mexican food "should" taste without actually following a recipe or anyone with a decent palate. The pork was very dry despite being covered in a sauce of some sort. There was no cheese on the burrito even though this was an ingredient on the menu.
