We got our bathroom remodeled by TEK starting late September and we were left with a gorgeous bathroom for a great price. The staff at TEK are all very kind and accommodating. Especially Wes who was our point of contact from the start. Wes answered all of our question, was honest and helpful from the get go. Highly recommend working with him or anyone else on the team. The work that was done was beautiful, the bathroom turned out exactly as we imagined it and we can't really ask for more than that. We were interrupted twice because of hurricanes which delayed the work but no one can help that. The biggest issue we had was communication from the team. From what I understood, TEK utilizes third party contractors to do specific jobs like drywall, electric, plumbing, etc. So some times people were coming on days we were told no one was coming. Some days we were told someone was coming at 8 and they'd never show. The reason that was most frustrating was because we had to plan our day around when a contractor would be home, like our daughter's nap schedule, our dog's potty schedule, and even our work schedules. We're lucky enough to have a ton of flexibility but if we hadn't, that really would've dragged the project out. Other than the communication about when the team would be coming though, I have no complaints about TEK or the work that was done. I think the communication bit is an easy fix and I do understand the hurricanes made it especially difficult some weeks. Overall: we got a beautiful bathroom done for a great price, the TEK team was great and the only issue we had was some miscommunication. read more

This is my personal experience with Tek Contracting/Tek Construction Group. I will keep this straight to the point and let the photos speak for themselves. This is a kitchen & bathroom reno + flooring for my 750 sqft apartment. I selected my materials at their warehouse during my design session. What was supposed to be a 4 week job is now coming up to 4 months. The majority of these photos are from the final walkthrough June 3rd, 2025. You will see: Mis-match color cabinets installed, which are also not aligned, Incorrect countertop installed, using scrap pieces, Backsplash grout already cracking, Missing hardware for cabinets, Microwave cannot open entirely, and the outlet does not work, Required GFCI outlets missing - major safety hazard, Incorrect color & style bathroom floor tile installed, Mis-match shower tile installed, Shower niche missing, Grout in shower already cracking, Shelving in bathroom vanity missing, Baseboards unfinished and completely missing in areas, Incorrect color LVP flooring installed, Back door hinges are missing screws - major safety hazard, I caught the back door open one night (who knows how many times that has happened), Open wiring in the attic - major fire hazard, These are ONLY the materials & issues that have not been corrected along the way. There were plenty more issues. Addressing them with the owner did not help. Used materials installed from previous jobs without consent (verbal and physical evidence of this). They have requested all invoices early/ before they were due. The 3rd draw was requested early 4 times. On the 4th request personally from the owner, I paid early under his confirmation that cabinets would arrive in 2 days. It took a few weeks before the cabinets were installed, and installed incorrectly. It took another 6 weeks to 'correct', and at the final walkthrough, they are mis-matched colors, not all have shelving, and they are unaligned. read more

Honest project overview and quick, efficient work! When our shower started to leak and damage our drywall, TEK Construction sent someone quickly to get an estimate of the damage and create a plan for repair. They were scheduled within the week and did a fantastic job repairing the leak and wall. They also left the work area clean and communicated efficiently thereafter! read more

This is my honest, unpaid and unprompted review of TEK and their work on our house... 1. Contracting process - they weren't the absolute least expensive, but they completely understood the assignment (i.e.,what we were looking for as described to them), were clear and specific in their quote and provided a fair, competitive, reasonable price for the major expansion and renovation of our house. They set up ongoing calls (and returned calls quickly) and I felt like we were in good hands. (Grade: A) 2. Workmanship - they work with subcontractors, but the people they employ are truly good at their individual disciplines and have worked with TEK for quite awhile. They were professional and polite and seemed genuinely concerned about doing a good job for us. Were there times that things didn't go as planned/expected and might've been frustrating? Absolutely. Did they fix those things once brought to their attention? Again, absolutely. (Grade: A-) 3. Communication/Execution against Plan - this is the area where TEK has some room for improvement. We were still in NJ throughout the renovation of our house, so communication was admittedly a little challenging from both sides from the start. Occasionally, it took a few calls to ensure we were on exactly the same page with respect to how we wanted things to look, placement according to architect plans, etc. There were more than a few times where it was frustrating when we were attempting to get progress photos/updates. That said, I'm pretty sure this whole issue goes away if you're renovating your house and can visit in person occasionally. (Grade: B) 4. Billing - we learned throughout this process that as a customer, you need to keep your own updated, accurate spreadsheet of all work orders, invoices, checks, etc so you can quickly and easily reconcile against TEK's record keeping. If we hadn't done this, it would have been somewhat confusing/frustrating for both parties. Again, some room for improvement (Grade: C+) 5. Administrative Staff - here's an area where TEK absolutely, completely nails it. From Jess in procurement (an absolute ROCK STAR of organization and communication), to John in sales (completely empathetic to the customer, while being urgent to get things done) to Eriberto the owner (who never made us doubt the trust we put in his company from day one), these guys provide the examples that other companies should be following in the home renovation industry.(Grade: A+) While the grades above might not technically collectively seem to add to 5 stars, the complete package - quality, fair pricing and good people - made us extremely happy customers. In the end, our house is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and we will no doubt choose TEK again for any future projects. read more

We hired TEK Construction to paint the exterior of our home. They came out right away to provide an estimate. Once we decided to move forward the entire team was very helpful in advising on the type and amount of paint that was needed for the project. The house was pressure washed, prepped, and painted in less than a week. TEK Construction provided professional and high quality service. Later on, I tried to reach them out after I was not happy with another contractor. They did come to my home and did another on-site again. We absolutely love the craftsmanship TEK put into our master bathroom renovation. Truthfully, we were very nervous about taking our 1975 bathroom down to the studs for a complete redo but Eriberto and his crew put us at ease from day one. They were professional, respectful of us and our home, talented, fast and provided us very fair pricing. We are absolutely IN LOVE with the work they did, especially with the tilework design and buildout. We couldn't be happier with the end result and can't wait to bring them back to start on the guest bathroom later this year! To Whom it May Concern because it seems that no one working for this company cares. I am going to break down the timeline of the events maybe this way you get it or have some decency to understand what Your Company is putting us through. 1. On Sept 8th your sales consultant send us an estimate of the cost to do the renovation of our bathroom(which the work is, remove and replace existing shower glass, remove shower tiles and floor tiles, replace with new one(provided by client), remove existing shower head and replace with new one(provided by client), remove mirror and replace with 2 new ones(provided by client) and sand and repaint vanity cabinets. 2. Sept 13th TEK Contracting(Your Company) wins the bid and we accept the price and put down a deposit. 3. A week later we receive and email from your "Sales Director" Thanking us for choosing your company and work will start on Oct. 25th of 2021. 4. A week before Oct.25th We confirm that we have all the materials to start the work and to confirm that you are coming and get told that we are pushing you guys until the week of Nov 1st because you want to send your "best professionals" 5. Nov. 1st we receive and invoice to pay the first half of the job(we pay) 6. Nov 1st first team comes in and starts demolition in the bathroom and leave holes everywhere and rip out the wall paper where it shouldn't be done(We understand during demolition things happen but no one is reading the paper work that is being provided) 7. This week "your professionals" only show up to work 3 days out of the 5(this is where we start asking ourselves questions, like how long is this going to take and where is the communication) 8. The week starting Nov 7th you send "your professional" to start work in the bathroom. This "professional" leaves a mess and starts throwing away tiles that can be used for the wall and we start asking ourselves, Is he aware that those tiles go on 2 areas in the bathroom and we bought the right amount of square footage plus 10% more. We discovered the tiles was wasted we order and pay for another 140 tiles to replace the wasted ones. 9. We contact your company complaining about the mess and the new tiles being thrown in the garbage bag(by the way which it's ours and they decided to help themselves with) 10. Your "professional" comes the next day to work and apologizes for the mess and mentions that he is afraid of not getting paid because of complaint(we found out at this point it's being subcontracted to another "professional") and jumps back into his truck and leave. Another day wasted. We call to ask if anyone is coming to finish the work. We get told that He'll be back the next day. 11. The next day no one shows up. We ask to speak to someone in charge. Your "Sales Director" calls and speaks to my wife. My wife starts venting about the horrible experience and this person was very dismissive and showed no empathy at all. This is were we find out that(week 3) there is a schedule... (wait what!) and to not contact the sales consultant and contact her directly. 12. Week 4 of bathroom project this week is the week of Thanksgiving we are told everything is going to be finished by Wednesday. Your "professionals" show up and tries to do the final touch ups and put up the glass shower door. Your "professionals" ask about a piece that was part of the glass "if I knew where it goes and if I had a picture of the glass door before they took it down if I didn't was going to use Youtube to install my shower door" I told him don't put up the glass door finish up with the touch up and we will contact your company about getting the previous glass company to install the glass door. They go home. 13. Week 5 we are told the Owner himself is coming to do the "Final Punch List" the owner comes in and starts asking us about the "punch list" wait you're the professionals you tell us what you see and we also have a list of what we've seen. Owner apologizes and we vent about the horrible experience and We find out that we was fitted in to the schedule(We tell him we didn't ask to be fitted) We asked "how long does a project like this takes to get done (by "professionals") , he "replies 1 week and a half"...We are in week 5. He tells us he will cover the cost of the new glass panel (which in his words should not be more than $400) and we will be reimbursed for the labor of the installation of the shower glass that his "professionals" could not figure out. Had to watch a youtube video to try to figure it out. 14. We are now in Week 6 and still not finished We contacted glass company and they will be here to measure and cut new glass panel. We send message through email to Owner and Sales Director about someone coming in to inspect the final job and no one is responding. I Hope you can feel our frustration through this long and exhausting message but this has been our experience with your company. The Owner and Sales Director DO NOT SEEM TO CARE. I hired TEK to do a full house remodel and adding on an addition. When they came out before the start of the job the "owner" Eriberto Lopez (he is showing as manager on SunBiz but on their website he is shown as the owner) stated he would be my project manager. I thought great, the job will be done right....boy was I wrong. They showed up really well the first week. Then they would show up 2-3 days a week and never on a Friday. Once most of the addition was complete I asked Eriberto to come by to see some of the issues. He stated he would be by that same day around 2. Never showed up and never called, I had to hear from the worker that he was not coming. Made another appt for him to come out never showed up again and I had to call him. He stated it was a family emergency. At this point I am not feeling well about this company. He finally came by a few days later and I showed him what was wrong....the AC did not work, the fan and light did not work, the trim was not painted, the outside was not painted, the electrical covers were crooked and the slider was leaking because it was not caulked up. He got snarky and said all this was minor and I was being petty. Well, I was done with them at this point so, I fired him. I received messages from Eriberto stating he was sorry for how he spoke to us. but if you do not know how to treat your clients (you know the ones paying you) then your business will not be around long). My backyard was a shambles and when I went to clean it up I found Corona bottles they hid in my AC box and a can with gardening supplies. So they not only did a shitty job but they were also drinking on the job, maybe if supervision was accomplished they would not be drinking on the job. I have lost out on a lot of money. I paid them for my countertop, cabinets and sink. I got the cabinets because they came in the same day I fired so I had them delivered to my house. When I told them they had to pay me back for the countertop and sink they said ok we will add the restocking fee. I paid them over $33K so far mind you. So they are stating I now owe them $4K. They actually listed the countertop, sink and cabinets in the restocking fee. How can they charge a restocking fee on things they do not even stock? These things were ordered from a third party. SHAM company, STAY AWAY I will be taking them to court to get my money back and if they have put any liens on my house I will take more of their money. Oh and almost all of their good reviews showing is from friends, did a lot of research there. read more
