I've now visited Teleferic Barcelona twice. On my first visit, I came for appetizers and dessert, and the burrata and torrija were the highlights. Today, I returned for dinner, which had a few standouts. The ham croquetas were the highlight of the evening, the pork belly was excellent, and the mocktails were delicious. The churros and torrija were also amazing. Unfortunately, the pulpo was a major disappointment. Octopus is my favorite, and I regularly order it around the world, including in Spain. This preparation was awful, and I would strongly recommend skipping it. The pork in the paella was also overcooked. We were given a specials menu, only to learn that the pistachio tiramisu was already unavailable. At 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, at the beginning of dinner service and with the restaurant nearly empty, that was disappointing. Service was very good. The entrance of the restaurant/bar has a nice little storefront, perfect for gifts. Trleferic is decorated pleasantly with dim lighting which is my preference when dining. I came in to celebrate a friend's birthday and we were sat with Fernando. Fernando was pleasant and attentive, we were never left waiting for service. He made some nice suggestions on the menu as well. We started with the BURRATA BOWL $18 Burrata, cherry tomatoes, seasonal fruit, basil oil, kale chips and sweet-salty crackers. Enjoyed this dish. Since I don't eat seafood, I was pleasantly surprised to see IBÉRICO PAELLA on the menu. $56. Smoked pork chop, pork belly, roasted chicken, Piquillo peppers. This dish was flavorful and delicious. It was enough two people to share if you start with an appetizer. For desert, we shared the CHURROS $12. Barcelona street fried dough with chocolate and toffee. Very good. Parking around the restaurant is tough, but there is valet service available. Although navigating mall parking is my least favorite thing, the food, service, and ambiance made circling the lot 100% worth it. For food we ordered the patatas bravas and the brava sauce and aioli made it a 10/10. We also ordered the grilled salmon and chicken kabob, and everything was executed brilliantly. A little Barcelona in the desert We had a nice family dinner at Telefèric Barcelona last night, and honestly, the atmosphere alone made it feel like a special night out. Warm, moody, beautiful decor--and the kids tight it felt fancy. We shared ALL the things: patatas bravas, wagyu empanadas, crab croquettes with tuna sashimi, chicken kebab, hummus and lobster paella with shrimp & octopus. The drinks were definitely the stars. I tried two sangrias and the spicy one was my favorite. My daughter's lychee mocktail made her feel extra special, and my husband's Fancy a Carrot cocktail was the winner of the night. Food-wise, there were some definite standouts, but it wasn't quite as consistent as we'd hoped. The empanadas and crab croquettes were favorites. Outstanding tapas and sangrias! The Paella Iberico was cooked to perfection. The chicken, pork chop and pork belly were fork tender and tasty. The slow cooked rice was to perfection with a slightly charred bottom. Yum!!!! It took a while for the kitchen to prepare this dish, but they bring it out piping hot and the wafting smokiness was amazing and so appetizing We also enjoyed the Torrija: Spanish Creme Brûlée with toast. It was more like a churros or crunchy French toast draped over a bed of creamy custard! Abilene was a terrific server who gave us lots of information about our paella and our dessert. A classic example of a Yelp event turned to a favorite dining experience I hadn't known about. I love Spanish paella, tapas, and just the vibe of a Spanish tapas location. In Arizona, I haven't found one I liked yet, but Yelp led me to one - Telefèric Barcelona. Our server Kat was fantastic and offered suggestions. My boyfriend was thrilled to see Jamón Ibèrico de Bellota on the menu as he's wanted to try, since it's considered the best ham in the world. I appreciate Kat's suggestion to get Pan Con Tomate as it was perfect on top, and flavors complimented each other. A great start with some tapas, as we ordered the lobster paella as our main to split. As far as paellas go, I've had better as the lobster was overcooked. My boyfriend agreed, and I think next time we'd try a different flavor or just do a tapas night with Sangria or other cocktails. He ordered a Gothic Mojito that was both mesmerizing to watch with the dry ice in a tea ball, and delicious. Overall, even not raving about the paella, I would rate 4.5 stars/5 so Kat's service made it a 5 star experience! We both said we'd return even if it's a 45 minute drive from my house. I am so happy I got to try this AMAZING place! I was totally in awe from the moment I walked in & was greeted by the very wonderful manager & bartender. My server was Morgan & she was fantastic! She got me started with the Papas Bravas, which were very good! I really loved the sauce that was mixed in. For my drink, I chose the Lychees 'n Cream but mocktail & no citrus. I also got a bottle of sparkling water. TIP: this place is VERY accommodating for people with allergies. The bartender really did a wonderful job on my tasty drink & I let him know plus thanked him! I also got the Ahi Salad which was absolutely delicious & so fresh! The perfect amount of veggies. So very, very good! The ambiance here is very relaxing & a great vibe all around. After first visiting Teleferic Barcelona for a special Yelp experience, I wanted to return and enjoy more of the restaurant vibe with family and friends and it did not disappoint. Kat, Mariate & G provided great service, and our window seating added to the lively Sat Night atmosphere of the Mall. The Patatas Bravas were a great start, while the Tuna Tacos and Crab Croquetas were my favorite tapas. We also enjoyed the Wagyu Empanadas and Mixta Paella with added clams as the main dish... My husband and I recently visited Teleferic Barcelona in Scottsdale for a Yelp Elite community event, and we had a wonderful evening! The restaurant has a vibrant, welcoming ambiance, and I loved the cute mini Spanish market right at the entrance. To top it off, the service was excellent throughout our meal. We started with two complimentary sangrias the Teleferic and the Barceloneta. The Barceloneta was easily my favorite. We also had a portion of patatas bravas. The bravas had incredible flavor, though the heavy sauce made the bottom potatoes a bit soggy and spicy. For starters, we also tried the tuna tacos (which my husband really liked) and the wagyu empanadas, though both were just okay for me. The wagyu dumplings were a hit, but they could have used a pinch more salt, and I felt the manchego crack on top was a bit much and would work better inside the dumpling. The highlight of the night was sharing the Paella Mixta with an added lobster tail. It was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and worth every bite. All in all, this is a beautiful restaurant located at Scottsdale Fashion Square. We sat at the bar and enjoyed Spanish tapas, and most of the food was delicious. Of course some items I liked better than others. Couple things I would not order again. The chefs special was a $15 oyster dubbed "super oyster" which sounded fun to me. However, it's not worth it for me. It wasn't good. The oyster itself was dried out and the tuna tartar & small amount of caviar didn't add anything to a dried out oyster. Plus it was supposed to come out on a platter with a "cloud of smoking dry ice". It didn't have any of that. So it was really an expensive, not good starter. Otherwise things were good. Best dishes we had were the shrimp in pesto/butter sauce, Wagyu empanadas, and crab croquettes. This also was one of the few times that I really didn't like the cocktails we ordered. The blue G&T looked and smelled like toilet bowl cleaner, luckily didn't taste like it. Just didn't work well with floating pieces of sage or some herb. The red cherry cocktail was supposed to be a milk punch but it tasted syrupy like cherry cough syrup a bit. Those were a miss but the bartenders looked like they were making other cocktails possibly we would have liked better. And finally, just 4 stars instead of 5 due to service was a bit confusing which is odd at the bar. Usually when I'm sitting at a bar top seat I know who is taking care of me and who to interact with. Here, there were so many people back there and it seemed like one bartender was our person, but another took the order, and the one directly in front of us making drinks didn't really pay any attention to us. So, service felt off at the bar. And a forth person closed out our bill. Most everyone was nice and easy to communicate with. My overall impression is it's a beautiful place, but on a Saturday night it was packed and service could have been better, drinks as well, and they should not even do the super oyster thing-- total gimmicky item. read more

Highly recommended, I felt like I was in Barcelona! The decor was very Spanish with groceries available for purchase and a refrigerator shelf to purchase Iberico ham and other items from Spain! The tapas were all very delicious and tasty! Of course the Iberico ham was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is luxurious, energetic, and definitely on the louder side--but in a fun way that adds to the overall experience. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy great food, cocktails, and conversation while taking in the vibrant atmosphere. Our server, Taylor (if I remember correctly), was absolutely perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. What we ordered: Crab Croquettes -- topped with tuna sashimi and spicy aioli. These were easily my favorite thing we ordered. Crispy on the outside and molten on the inside, they were absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little bigger or slightly less expensive because I could have kept ordering them over and over! Patatas Bravas -- tangy potatoes with Brava sauce, aioli, and crispy ham. I ordered everything on the side just in case, but honestly, next time I'm ordering it all together. Everything paired so well and was delicious. Barceloneta Sangria -- sparkling wine, lemon, prickly pear, honey, rosemary, orange, and mixed berries. This was SO good! The portion was a really nice size, and it was refreshing without being overly sweet. Bryan's Legacy -- 12-year whiskey, Solera brandy, red vermouth, PX sherry, bitters, and hickory wood. Smoky, spirit-forward, and oaky. The presentation was beautiful, and the drink itself was just as impressive. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Telefèric Barcelona. Originally went here for a Yelp Elite Week Experience and ordered more items on the menu on my visit. The first impression walking in was that the interior is beautiful. The vaulted ceilings really make the space feel spacious and warm. I ordered the crab croquettes, bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken skewers w/pita , and tuna tacos. Decent new restaurant in the Fashion Square restaurant area. Located right in front of Society Swan. Valet entrance closest to Catch and DTF. Overall a pretty solid meal but a few small key misses. The server greeted us about 5 minutes after we sat down and only visited us 3 additional times throughout the meal. She did profess apologies as she was the only server working the entire restaurant. But come on... a brand new restaurant open for less than 3 months and already staffing issues. That needs to be improved. Kat was still an awesome server. Food was quite good and that was without trying any of the paella's or steaks. The potatos bravas were solid but just a side of potatoes so I'd probably skip next time. The chicken empanadas were solid and the sauce was quite tangy so I was drinking that. The brussel sprouts were steakhouse sprouts so it was crispy and salty. Would get the empanadas again in a heartbeat and the sprouts if I got a steak or fish main next time. Another reason for a missed star is I didn't get a birthday dessert! The tables next to us all got their birthday desserts, but we were missed. The server was really sweet and I don't blame her for any of this. I'm not sure if that's because they prebatch but was disappointing. Food: we ordered the ahi tuna salad and it was awful, probably the worst ahi tuna I've ever had. The restaurant specializes in Spanish Tapas, which are small plates that can be shared. We started with a Virgin Sangria which was excellent. Our first tapas came out which was Patatas Bravas. Small fried potatoes served with an excellent sauce and aioli. So good that we ordered a second serving of it. Next was Jamon Iberico De Bellota. This is the famous ham that comes from the black pigs from Iberico and are fed Acorns. A single slice did not do it justice, but after 3 or 4 slices a mild, sweet flavor permeates your palate. Delicious! Spanish Octopus is world famous for its tenderness and flavor. This was no exception. Even companion who would never consider eating octopus enjoyed it. Served to us was also Pan Con Tomate. Thick slices of artisan bread with a coarse tomato covering and chorizo butter. Also was Gambas Al Ajillo, which was one of the highlights of the meal. Large head on shrimp with the body peeled, swimming in a lovely garlic sauce. Your fingers will get messy eating this, but never fear, they provide finger wipes with it as well as artisan bread soldiers. One removes the head, (and in my case I sucked the juice out of the head), and then eat the shrimp. Finally one takes the bread soldier and dips it into the wonderful sauce. It was so good it almost brought tears to my eyes. Lest I forget, they also have larger dishes such as various Paellas and Platos. We had to have dessert even though we were stuffed. Genuinely wanted to love this place but left hungry and feeling dissatisfied. Entry was rerouted to the in-mall doors which may have altered my perspective, but this entry felt more like walking into a service counter versus a dining experience. We decided to come in during lunch for a much more casual vibe with a smaller crowd and were surprised at the lack of check ins during service to order more or to have plates cleaned off the table. The drinks are large - so you surely get your bang for your buck there. However, the size of our chicken kebab was a shock. I forgot to take a photo, but I genuinely thought the kebabs were essentially the size of ones you might see during hors d'oeuvres at a wedding (bite sized). With the chicken being that small, I was also surprised to bite into gristle which was unappetizing. The patatas bravas were a good size for tapas, and had great flavor combo with the salsa. I can't say the same for the gambas or chicken however, as we felt those lacked heavily in flavor. The gal who seated us gave us a card to place on the table if we wanted a non-alcoholic drink, but could not explain to us what it was for. We had to ask our server and he said they come around and pour the drink in your mouth. It sounded fun but it ended up being a lot less exciting than expected. Service was just ok. Our server was nice, but it was nothing special. The food and drinks were subpar for the most part...to begin with they were out of the Teleferic sangria (how can you be out of your signature drink, also considering it was only 6 pm at that point). I ended up getting the Spicy Sangria and it tasted NOTHING like a sangria. It was not even a good drink. For food, the only things that were done right were the patatas bravas, wagyu empanadas, jamon, and prawns. We had to send the chicken empanadas back because the chicken was overcooked and did not taste good. Croquettes were ok. The most disappointing thing of the night (besides the sangria) was the main dish. We ordered a paella negra and paella mixta. I was expecting something delicious and flavorful, but both completely lacked flavor and had too much salt. Wish I could go back to Spain for the food because this restaurant can't even compare. Came here on a Saturday night for my mom's birthday, reservation made through OpenTable. Food was good, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Despite the place buzzing with energy, the hostess sat our group of 4 in a small, closed-off side room with only 2 other tables -- we were the only ones in there for a while. No view, just curtains directly in front of us. Our table was wobbly and didn't have silverware. Felt like we'd been seated in a completely different restaurant or in Teleferic BCN Time Out. Food-wise, everything was decent. We shared the brussels sprouts, patatas bravas, cauliflower, and wagyu empanadas (of course-- the empanada order only comes with 3, so we had to add a 4th for our table of 4). The cauliflower with its crema was the standout, though the bravas were a bit too salty for my taste. The paella iberico we wanted wasn't available in a large size, so we switched to the paella mixta -- great flavor and nice crisp on the bottom. I was looking forward to the complementary sangria poured in my mouth (lol), which never came, likely because we were in the Time Out room. A plate of churros showed up randomly, which I assumed was a birthday touch since we'd noted the occasion on the reservation. It was brought by mistake. We waited close to an hour just to get the check, and when it arrived, we'd been charged for two items we never ordered (thankfully removed after we flagged it). I was hoping to celebrate and acknowledge my mom's birthday. It's nice to not be rushed but we ended up being there for over 2.5 hours due to lack of attentiveness. I don't usually nitpick service, but between the mix-ups, the wait, and being tucked away from the main room, it made for a disappointing experience. The food's tasty, but overall 2/5. read more

My first visit here- and my initial reaction was that it really did feel like you are in Barcelona. (I've been lucky to tag along several times on my husband's business trips.) This is a very sleek, beautiful restaurant. We decided just to go the tapas route so we started with patatas bravas. Crispy potatoes and just the right amount of aioli and brava sauce, I thought. There are so many variations of pan con tomate- our next dish. Telefèric goes with a softer bread and a generous amount of tomatoes rather than the type with toasted bread and a lighter dusting of tomatoes. The ham croquetas we had next were incredible! The crisp shell gave way to the creamy inside and then you had the delicate ham. I was just bummed that there were only three per order. Distract your partner and move fast! Last came the churros. They do a great job with the churro part. They came out hot and crispy with a great cinnamon sugar flavor. However putting just a small trickle of chocolate on the inside just wasn't enough. I feel like churros are really meant to be dipped in chocolate, and the addition of toffee was distracting and unwanted. If Telefèric gave the option of ordering plain cinnamon churros over this version I would take it. Overall this is a great date night spot or a nice place to meet up with a group. They have a fun "Porrón" activity. If you place the card on your table on the red "Porrón si!" side the staff will come and pour virgin sangria in your mouth from a contactless pitcher. Telepheric Barcelona is new at the Scottsdale Fashion Center and very well decorated. The interior is sharp, clean, sleek and nicely spaced; you are not on top of each other. Reservations are strongly suggested and not easy to come by. Fashion here is dialed up with many wearing their night-club best. We were warmly greeted and presented the menus. The small plates or tapas looked very intriguing. A quick trip around the restaurant had me salivating over the smalls. The red wine in a decanter to sip from a stream overhead is a catchy option. We started with a beautiful and delicious plate of Iberico sliced ham. The crab croquetts were topped with tuna and spicy aioli that were savory and very tasty. The lady gambas were shrimp wrapped in bacon and lightly seasoned with spicy aioli. A very good choice. The potato bravas were a bit bland and did not hit-the-spot. On the other hand the Spanish albondigus with ham carbonara and Manchego were over-the top and a must order. The tuna tacos were two bites of delicious tuna, smashed avacado in a crispy wonton. The order of brussel sprouts with aged cheese, basil oil and lemon-honey vinegarette were little flavor bombs. We decided one can't go to a Barcelona establishment and not order paella. The negra (seafood) paella with black rice was flying by our table. What a disappointment! The rice was super thin and burnt, unable to separate from the pan and had a funky taste with the shrimp. It was not bad, but rather terrible. It was a unanimous decision by the table that it was not worth sending back or re-ordering. We simply left it minimally touched. In discussions with good friends, they expressed the same sediments over their order of paella and sent their order back, twice to no avail. A meal at Telepheric Barcelona would have been outstanding if we had stopped at just the tapas. The price point is higher and $28.00 for tap water is steep. We expect that for alcohol but come on. The atmosphere and ambience is great, but a Spanish place that can't make good paella is sad. I wish them the best and hope they can train a chef or import a real Spaniard to help revive the national dish. read more

The one item I paid for on this visit was the shrimp and bacon for $16. It came on a Stick and had a very limited amount of shrimp and bacon inside. Presentation was very unique, but would not get again. read more

You guys I had the lost fun here! Shoutout to my server Kat, she was a blast. Literally came by with the porron where they pour liquor in your mouth... twice! Such a fun time! Also got two different kinds of sangrias and I definitely recommend getting the states bravas with the sauces on the side so they come out crispy!! Definitely ordered some protein and tried the chicken skewers with came with hummus and pita bread. By this point I was stuffed but I had to get the chocolate and toffee churros with the side of ice cream! Honestly 10/10 to the entire experience. Another delicious meal in the books! The restaurant itself is dark and romantic feeling. The Barcelona Sangria was 10/10 out of the two I tried. Every food item was wonderful, but I'd skip the hummus next time and try another item. The paella was phenomenal. At first our service was fairly slow but about midway through she began to pick it up. read more
