I visit the Tap when in Lethbridge. Have been going there for at least 8 years after discovering it while returning from a road trip in Montana. It is an interesting pub and I always meet interesting people there. The beer selection is great and the food is always meets my expectations. This pub is still the finest pub I have been to. Very disappointing. We arrived before 6:00 p.m., explained we had a 7:30 concert, and were assured there was plenty of time. After repeated check-ins until 7:20, our food never arrived. We left after paying for our drinks, only to be criticized by waitress for not waiting longer. read more

it was a a 28 degree day, so I sat outside. I didn't think I would be there long, just stopping for a quick lunch. The shaded tables were taken, so I sat with my back to the sun, after all this won't take long, right? After some time, I was offered a menu and the server took my order. I received my water and drink quite quickly, and then the servers went back inside. When they did reappear, I was told that my food should be out soon. It wasn't. When my food finally arrived, I asked for another drink. I was having a Long Island Iced Tea, and the young man brought me an ordinary iced tea. When I mentioned it to yet again a new server, he assured me that no one had changed anything about my drink. I explained that he brought me the wrong drink, which he finally understood. I guess to sum up, I spent an hour baking in the sun, while the servers took little breaks in the air conditioned restaurant. Their food while good, is expensive, and their service is slow. Great little bistro/pub very close to downtown. Amazing service, friendly conversations with managers and staff. I come here for a couple pints of differently craft beers. Always a great time. My 1 and only critique is that the appetizer menu is so damn expensive starting at $14 for chips/fries. Way too expensive for me to order appetizers with my pints. I had supper this evening at the Telegraph Tap House. What attracted me there was their beer selection. Since I am in Alberta, I ordered the Rib Eye steak medium (with no veggies) and it came medium/well, exactly how I like it! It was really good as were the mashed potatoes. I'd get it again. Tayt was the bartender and my server and he took excellent care of me. I like beer but tend to be a boring beer drinker. He gave me some local things to try that were outside my usual beer box that I ended up liking. We had a fun discussion about beer. I'd recommend this place! read more

We haven't lived in Lethbridge for almost 10 years, so when we visit it can be tough to know what's new, good or changed from the last time we visited. This business was #3 on the list when I checked the yelp map, so I took that as a good sign. First off, the atmosphere is really great, cozy, fun and intimate. We were seated immediately and I'll say right off that there was a Christmas party going on there and it was really busy! Our server was great with putting together a couple interesting beer flights. I was extremely impressed with the selections they had on tap! I ordered spaetzle and schnitzel. The food took a bit of time to arrive due to the Christmas party, but it gave us a chance to visit. The food arrived piping hot and fresh. I had 2 big crispy schnitzels smothered in a delicious, rich mushroom cream sauce and topped with 2 perfectly cooked spears of asparagus. The spaetzle was spot on! It was tender, buttery and so flavourful! A small salad rounded everything out perfectly. This is the ultimate comfort done right. My companions chose some kind of chicken/bacon sandwich with a side of creamy potato soup, that they both enjoyed a great deal. Like I said, this place was busy and we waited a bit for the food, but it was totally worth it. Great food, big portions, awesome value, great service. Keep it up! read more

All the awesome hipster things in one house! When I heard the word "Brew Pub" in Lethbridge, I gotta say my mind immediately went the way of "Hudson's Canadian Tap House" and I was wrong! I was so pleasantly wrong! This is a small pub that focuses on its beer and its food, just like a brew pub should. The space has exposed brick, old barn wood style floors and is decorated with ALL the vintage, reclaimed or repurposed hipster things. From exposed lightbulbs to antique furniture, to a wall made of vintage luggage, old bicycles on the walls, antique telephones, a shelf loaded with an assortment of antique cameras. There's a network of belt driven fans that make use of one antique looking fan motor. The DIY hipster in me loved absolutely everything! Really, the only reason I'm light-heartedly mocking is because I liked this place so much. I find it pretty funny when places to such a great job appealing to me. They've got an extensive and changing list of beer on tap that is marked out by little stickers on the menus. They've got a great seasonal craft selection with several beers in each category from light to dark. The Tap Club sandwich I ordered is a monster! A chicken breast, roast beef, exceptionally tasty bacon, BBQ sauce cheese, and then some lettuce and tomato to give it at least some sort of veggie. This came with your choice of a side (the tomato bisque was great) for $13-ish. Everyone at my table ordered sandwich and we were all impressed! You can get a filling sandwich on it's own for $5.5. They have a small stage in the corner so it looks like they do live music on the busier nights. I can't wait to spend some more time at Telegraph the next time I'm in Lethbridge. Do not ever go to telegraph tap house Lethbridge just went there and the table next to us were loud disrupt and creepy. We told the waitress how uncomfortable I was feeling as a female. We were offered a new table and we said no because we didn't want to have to make them wash and extra table. Instead the waitress go's in a male staff comes out and demands us to pay the bill and leave. Yet the table next to us get to be drunk and disorderly get to stay. Never again read more

We have been here a few times. The atmosphere is really unique with the mix and the new and the old. Love how they have decorated with the old suitcases and photos and incorporate the brick. The food is awesome! Every time we go it is great with fresh food, including fresh made salsa! The presentation of the dishes are also unique and make pub food look high end. The portions are pretty large so make sure you have room for delciousness. There is a wide selection of beer on tap as well as a complete bar of other drinks. The Innis and Gunn on tap is perhaps one of our favourite. During the lunch hour is very busy so make sure that you allow time to wait. It isn't the same as other restuarants, as there are long tables because of the small place so expect to sit close to people that you don't know. I will keep coming here even after I try everything on the menu. read more

Don't go there for breakfast unless you want to pay through the nose for a very limited selection on Saturday and Sunday before 1. Their breakfast is listed at $6.00 if you buy a drink and $10.00 if you do not. They were out of Diet Pepsi or Coke so basically I paid $4.00 for water. Love this place!!! All their menu items are super unique and well thought out and DELICIOUS! Tons of beers on tap if that's your thing (I had a cpl pints of refreshing Somersby cider) My friend had the veggie burger and said it was the "best burger she's ever had" I tasted it and it was pretty legit / I would order that myself!! I had the knuckle sandwich which is a 4oz baby steak sandwich - OMG so tender and delicious. Their gravy is so good too!!! Whoa. This place has a stellar selection of unique beers that would make any beer lover jump for joy and many of which are on tap! We came down to Lethbridge on a random trip over the long weekend and lo behold, Telegraph was one of the first places that popped up. Highly recommend checking it out. It is located on the main downtown strip of the city. We also ordered food as well and it was exceptional for pub food. Large portions, well priced and full of flavour. While their on tap list can be overwhelming at first, their friendly staff can suggest different beers that you may like, and they offer samples. Really fun environment. Cool little place - kind of reminds me of a hipster type pub. Lots of beers on tap sure but here is the thing. They give you this amazing menu with like 200 beers listed, at this point you're not sure if this is real or if you died and this is what heaven looks like. Then the waitress points out that only the ones with the sticker beside them are on tap today. This cuts the list down to about 20 or so. Still super cool and amazing but I would rather if they just listed what they had on tap that day. Even if it was on a board or something somewhere. It's like back in the blockbuster days when you would roll in and they would be all out of the new release you really wanted. They would just tease you with the box.....like "ha ha, look what you could have had" I would recommend giving it a try read more

Been to the Telegraph 3X. The atmosphere is nice and decor is cool. The service is slow but the servers are friendly. They have a large selection of beers but they're not cheap! Large selection of food which all sound good but they fail on execution. Once the food took close to an hour and we got it cold. We had to send it back. Second time was on wing night....only 4 flavors to pick from.... And they undercooked the wings and splashed Frank's hot sauce on top and didn't even mix it into the wings! Are you kidding me!!?? I could have done that at home! Had to send it back. And the third time we just ordered drinks.... No more wasting money on their food. Hopefully they'll get better with time. read more

It's nice to see a place like this in Lethbridge. First the Pros: Good beer selection, great ambiance, and very good service. Now the Cons: The unanimous comment from the 3 of us was that the food was bland. Two of us had the Asian skirt-steak (including me) and the other had the club house. My skirt-steak was very flavorless, overcooked, and cold in parts. The other negative was that we were seated next to the back door and the cooking staff would come in smelling of cigarette smoke. It was somewhat of an appetite killer. My recommendation is to come for the beer and ambiance but go elsewhere for the food. read more
