My parents purchased a high end osaki dream wave chair, which arrived a month later broken. Mind you this purchase is over $6k, not a small sum of money. The delivery was schedule for 12/15, it didnt arrive till 01/16. My mother wanted the beige color but a black chair arrived instead. We called the sales man who would then throw off his responsibility telling us to call the customer service line. After dealing with an unresponsive customer service, they finally send out a repair man a month later. Our repair man tells us the chair is unfixable, so we have to contact our sales man again to get this resolved. After calling him over the weekend, he tells us he will look into it. 3 days later we call the office after hearing nothing back, we're told he's off today and the manager is out. The sales guy on the phone today, then proceeds to give us the same generic response to get us off the phone. I tell him he needs to give us a callback today after he emails and calls HQ like he says he will, then he proceeds to yell at me for telling him what to do. I sense this is because of his misogyny since I am a younger female. This made my blood boil, how is this an acceptable way to speak to a paying customer? I ask him what his name is and he refuses to tell me. I have never heard of this before. If you work in sales or customer service, if you have nothing to hide there should be no issue in giving your name. This business is unethical and the sales people will take your money and send you garbage and disrespect. Now we are going thru a dispute with our bank and extending this already excruciating headache of a refund process. My mom bought a massage chair for 10k and paid extra for warranty. When she received the chair it was not the same chair that was in the display room. The head cushion was harder and the words "elite" was missing from the back of the chair. The chair also made an odd clicking noise when in use. When we called the store they told us the model my mom sat in at their store was an older model. They tried to help my mom with the settings on the chair but told us to call the manufacturer if we experienced any issues with the chair. We contacted the manufacturer and told them our concerns and they sent a technician to come fix the chair. Teletron is the only authorized dealer in Houston for this specific message chair and it seems legit. read more

My sister-in-law, who lives far north in Atascocita, asked that I find out about a Teletron antenna that could capture local Asian channels that all her friends were able to get in the Southwest area. I figured since it is located next to my favorite restaurants, might as well drop by. So here we go: Upon arrival of location, it reminded me of a Fry's electronics wannabe, only more ghetto & low budget. In the parking lot, I noticed 3 City of Houston police cars (one of them unmarked) & at least four policeman guarding the entrance as I walk in. I approached a salesman to inquire about an entertainment system & this infamous antenna they were selling. His lack of knowledge of the product & condescending tone bothered me as he explained details about the antenna. I passed on the $5,000 entertainment system & proceeded to ask about the antenna. He confirmed that if I bought this, it would allow reception for local Vietnamese stations. For $25, not a bad deal I suppose as I inquired about their return policy. I SPECIFICALLY asked him that if I could not get these Asian stations he talks about, particularly because of our location far up north in Atascocita, am I able to return this for a refund. He said, "Yes, we accept returns if that is the case." As I go and pay for the item, I asked the checkout girl the same question and she gave me the same answer. I go home that night and spend about an hour with no success getting the Asian channels. I look for my receipt & noted... The receipt was folded and tucked into an envelope? I opened up the envelope & read the return policy to make sure I bring it back within the usual 14 days that a typical electronics store would have. Instead, I find that it states there is NO REFUNDS and NO RETURNS/EXCHANGES unless it is defective & if defective, you can only get an identical product: "Defective products may be exchanged for identical products only if returned to the store within 14 days of purchase date. Manufacturer's warranty applies after this 14 days period. Any product may be returned for a full refund if returned within 7 days of purchase and unopened and unused, except for special orders, shavers, karaoke, cameras, camcorders, refrigerators, washers/dryers, digital camera/camcorder, computer, massage chair, furniture & seasonal items." Read this carefully. After the word "except", ALL of the items listed INCLUDE EVERYTHING they sell. Despite this, I feel that since they told me it's returnable, I am sure they'll keep their word. I return to the store two days later & go straight to the same checkout girl for the return. She pointed me to the customer service desk in the back and said, "He should be able to check it & do the refund." I head over there & this dude looked at me like I was stupid. Conversation: Him: We cannot accept returns, why are you returning it? Me: Your girl over there at the cashier's desk told me I could when I bought it. In addition, the salesperson right there sitting at the table also told me that too. Him: Yeah rite, I'll ask her... Him: She told me she didn't tell you any of that. Did you read our return policy? No one here told you that you can return anything. We can't make money if we allow people to return things they buy. Me: REALLY???! I have no reason to lie. I would not have bought it if I 1) knew it didn't work and 2) your staff told me I could not return it. Since you are basically calling me a liar, get your store manager out here NOW. Him: Uh, uh.... I will ask him. (He disappears to the back for 5 mins.) Him: Mgr said he is not authorizing the return. Me: I told you I wanted to see him, please get him out here NOW. I am NOT leaving until I get my money back. Dude hesitates & goes to the back. Finally, the manager appears & requests to have a private talk in the back. Me: No, I am not going back there, just give me my refund! Your people called me a LIAR, why do we need to hide back there anyways? People need to know about ur deceptive business practices. Mgr: Please don't raise your voice & go w me to the back. Me: I am not going anywhere, esp if your folks are calling me a liar when truly YOU GUYS R THE LIARS (pointing at him). Mgr pulls out his walkie talkie and yells, "Police! I need police here now!!" Within less than a minute, a City of Houston cop car pulls up in the front and an officer rushes in and invites me outside. During our talk, the manager sends out a guy "to smoke" & evesdrop on our convo. Cop did nothing 4 me & asked if I read the return policy. BOTTOM LINE: NO REFUNDS HERE. Example: The store proudly displays that they are a Tempur-Pedic Elite Retailer, but you cannot locate them on the Tempur-Pedic website for authorized retailer. Not just the Bellaire location, but none of the Teletron location across US is listed on the Tempur-Pedic site. I have emailed Tempur-Pedic to verify this, but haven't heard back yet. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO EXCHANGE, NO RETURN. They are all liars. They sold us a karaoke machine which cost about $1200. They told us it was made in US, and assembled in THAILAND. When we asked about the warranty, they said if there is any problem, they don't fix it in store, but we can go to Bestbuy to fix it. As we got home, and open the box, which has no brand name, no warranty card, and a terrible instruction. We google it and find out, this machine is made in CHINA. Its function was extremely confused, and guessed what we can't use the karaoke option while plug in HDMI cable just as what they said. We bought the machine because we think it is MADE IN US not in CHINA. Teletron people lied about this fact. We bought the machine as the sale person told us there is 2 years WARRANTY by BESTBUY, but when we return it, they said THEY ARE THE ONE who fix it, and there is 1 Year warranty only. My husband brought the machine to return, and they refused.They gave us a hard time ever, and finally accept the return after calling someone (another store in CA) else and they said the karaoke function doesn't work with HDMI. Btw, our mom bought a $8000 tempurpedic mattress. But now, after reading the first review, I'm scared. I also did a research and yet their name was not listed as Tempur-Pedic Elite retailer like they told us they are. Update: Inaddition, my mom also bought a massage chair from Teletron, and they said if something goes wrong, they will fix it. DO. NOT. BUY. ANYTHING. FROM. HERE. I came here in back in May (late review, I know, but every time I think about this place is makes me so livid that I HAVE to yelp it) with my parents to buy a rice cooker. The guy who helped us out was very friendly and helpful. I think his name was Nam? He was the young one. Anyways, he helped us pick out a rice cooker and told us that if we find the exact same one, but it's cheaper, then they will price match it. When we checked out, some other guy told us the same thing, that they will price match it if we bring proof, such as a picture. Afterwards, we went to Hong Kong Market to do some grocery shopping and I found the same rice cooker, and it was cheaper. The one we bought at Teletron was around $180, and the one at Hong Kong was around $160. So I took pictures of the rice cooker from all angles, getting sign on the shelf that stated the price of the rice cooker, but I didn't get the serial number of the box. We could have just bought the rice cooker from Hong Kong and returned the Teletron one, but since they told us they would price match, my dad wanted to be a loyal customer and buy from them so we went back to Teletron. We showed the guy at the cash register our pictures, but he said it wasn't valid. He said he needed the serial number because we could have placed the box above a different sign and said that that was the price. Ok, that's understandable. So we went BACK to Hong Kong, and we took a picture of the serial number on the box. We also found the price written on the box. It was about $150, so we were like "oh yay, it's even cheaper." So we went BACK to Teletron, and showed them the pictures, and they STILL said it was invalid. They said they needed a price tag with the serial number of the product or some shit. I guess a barcode or something? IDK ALL THEY TOLD US was that they would price match if we found a cheaper one and we needed a picture as proof. WE DID THAT. We took pictures of the whole fucking box, at all fucking angles, got the price for the box that was on the shelf, got the other price of the box that was written on the box, and they still wouldn't price match. My dad was arguing with one sales associate, then he got the manager and he was arguing with him. He said "we have warranty on the rice cooker, does Hong Kong have warranty? Our price is higher because we have warranty." Oh, so now we suddenly got warranty? We were never told that when we bought it. My dad argued back saying that they told us that they'd simply match the price, nothing about warranty was ever mentioned. Then the manager whips out the paper stating the rules of returns/exchanges/price match/etc. OKAYYY so he shows us this now AFTER we try to price match. They didn't even bothered to show us when we bought the damn rice cooker. The manager then tries to explain to my dad why they can't price match. My dad got so pissed he didn't want to hear it anymore so he just returned it. So to sum it all up, just don't buy anything from here. If you try to price match, they'll do everything they can so you won't. They'll tell you as little information as they can about their return/exchange/price match policy. They will call you liars. My dad wanted to give them business, which is why we went back to price match instead of returning it. Well, it's safe to say that we're NEVER going back there. The worst place to do business with. I went to teletron on 2/22/2015. I was there because of the dragon dance and since im there, i went in and bought a rice cooker for $115. Came home and opened it up, it looked all nasty inside as if its used and the stuff thats in there doesnt even go with the rice cooker, the rice spoon says state farm insurance on it. I brought it back today which is 3/6/15 because their policy says 14 days to change if defects or whatever. Im thinking no problem because its used im just gonna exchange for a new one and nothing could go wrong. When i brought it back yesterday they said i have to have a receipt so come bavk with receipt today and the guy said "sorry its been more than 14 days we cant exchange for u". I said "Well, sir, feb is only 28 days which im only at 12 days today". He then said " sorry its used we can not exchange for u" i said" that was the reason why i exchange its because its used when i bought it and im only here to exchange for a new one, not returning. He then said thats what i say but i have no reason to buy it and then coming for a new one if i used it. He then told me i cant return because i used it. Obviously this guy is trying say that i lied. But i lied for what? I dont want me money back i just want to get what i paid for which is a new cooker and stuff in it that does not say state farm on it. I called the cops because the cops that are there works for teletron which i dont want to deal it. Vietnamese cop came told me he couldnt do anything about it because its a civil matter, i just have to file a lawsuit with the court. I then said fine i will. When i went back to the manager, i nicely asked him. Anh, what is your name so i can put in the report that i spoke with you who said i cant exchange it His respond " teletron" I said " well teletron doesnt tell me i cant exchange, you did" His respond ( hes the manager by the way) " i dont want to tell you my name. If anything its teletron" Can you believe a business thattttt big which has franchise at 3 other location can not give me the managers name? When i asked him i already know his name is PHILIP because thats what they called him. I wrote down philip in his face and i can see how embarrassed he was. Business like that just lost a customer like me and my family and my friends and people that i know and hopefully everyone that read this review. I want to file a lawsuit but my cop friend told me its just a waste of time because it wont do anything to them, and its just gonna cost me time and money because company like that got tons of complaint and they have lawyers that works for them year round. I talked to Tuan and Hoang, they told me they did tell my parents that this is US company but assembly in China. Well, now they have sold this product to my parents, they can say what they want. This foot massager works OK for now (it has been 15 days), but my mom would NOT buy if she knew this product was made in CHINA. So after learning about the true origin of this foot massager, my parents want to RETURN the chair to the store. They DID NOT ALLOW THEM. The store manager Hoang said, it's over 14 days. After constantly seeing the commercials they advertise on TV, we decided to check it out to see if they had a decent washer we could capitalize on. While walking by, I had my suspicions about how the sales experience would go and they certainly did not disappoint! "We're going to go in and be hassled to the point we want to leave..." Upon entering, we were asked if we needed help to which we said we were just going to browse and would let them know if we needed their help. So as we start to walk towards the washers, we couldn't help but notice the sales lady following us close in the other isle watching attentively. I stopped and asked her to stop following us but she just didn't listen. So I stopped again and said we'd like to look by ourselves so please stop following up. This video clip shares how the Teletron store in Houston has used deceptive techniques for the sale of Tempur-pedic mattress to our family. Such a scam is a disgrace to our Vietnamese community. This story is about our recent purchase of a Tempurpedic Mattress at Teletron, located at 10796 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77072, (281) 495-8999, for the amount of 8,117.67 charge on September 17, 2012. Teletron claims that it is the Elite Dealer for Tempur-Pedic manufacturer and advertise on TV as well as on youtube about the 90 day free-trial (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD29zw84K2g). This 90 days free trial has been offered from the Tempur-Pedic manufacture and it is documented from official Tempur-pedic website (www.Tempur-pedic.com) as well as a quote we receive from their sale representative. Since my mother does not speak English well she prefers to purchase the Tempur-pedic mattress (queen-size Grand Bed style) at the local Vietnamse store, Teletron. The saleman, Hoang Huynh, whose name is printed on the Sale Order, promised my mother that the mattress would certainly help with her back pain. In addition, because Teletron ads states that she can have 90 days trial and can return if she is not satisfy with it, my mother decided to get brand new Grand Bed mattress at full price. I used my credit card to pay for her and the mattress was delivered to her house on the same day. After sleeping on the mattress for 6 days, my mother was not satisfy with it and she wanted to return it to Teletron. She called the Mr. Hoang Huynh (saleman), but he did not want to come and pick up the mattress. I called the store and spoke to the store manager (Phillip) and he told me that Teletron would not accept the mattress back. Phillip said that the store general policy is shown on the back of the sale order, which handed to us in the envelop when we paid. I explained that Teletron should honor what it had been advertised on TV and youtube regarding the 90 day trial, as Tempur-pedic manufacturer also has the same policy online. If Teletron is one the Elite dealers, then Teletron should be able to pick up the mattress and return it to the manufacturer. Surprisingly, Phillip disagreed, became angry, and directed me to contact Tempur-pedic manufacturer for further service. In an attempt to document that we wanted to return the mattress on this date, September 22, 2012, I had faxed the written request to Teletron. After further investigation about Teletron, I found out that its name is not currently listed on the Tempur-pedic official website as one their elite dealers. I would not even give this place 1 star. It is really bad. I bought a water boiler from this place. I brought home and the water was not boil at all. I brought it back to them and they said well let try it and if it does not boil, then I can exchange or return the product. The water did not boil at all, I even stick my finger in the "boiling" water to show them that. They told me it is not defect so I cannot return or exchange. Even the policy said that I can return the product within 14 days. I was mad and take the product. I told the customer that you cannot return the products. I was so mad, I went outside the store and I dumped the product in the trash cane outside. The store manager ran after me in the parking lot. He pushed me and tried to punch me. Thanks God, there were people at the parking lot witness the seen and told me to call the police and reported the incident. There were recording camera outside the store as well. After the police came and resolved the problem. The store manager apologized and then he allowed me to return. I did not press charge on him. I just want to share my story so that you don't make a mistake like I did. People in Houston told me not to buy anything from Teletron. This place has no concept of customer service, rude, and act like criminal. This is my first time that I write anything on Yelp. I will never return to this place again. read more

My sister bought a brand new refrigerator at the Grand Prairie location. She made a deposit to keep the onsale price at that time and picked it up 4 weeks later. Before she came to pick up, she called and the salesman said it was ready to pickup. She rent a truck and drove 1 hour to there. When she reached there, they said they ran out the new in the box, they had a floor sample and she had to pick it up or lost the deposit. That model was discontinued, they won't carry it anymore... after arguing for a while, she had to pick it up. If I were there, I'd have called the police. What horrible this store is! I came here a couple times either weekends or weekdays, I didn't see any customers. I NEVER come back this store. read more

I am writing this review because I feel helpless and it is my last resort, please read this carefully. My mother bought a inada massage chair from teletron and it broke, the problem was that they took two months to even fix it. To make the situation worse, the chair broke again. I personally took it upon myself to make my way to teletron and speak with the owner Uy Nguyen. I was very dissapointed when he hid in his office and asked for a policemen to escort me out. Teletron told me that service men will contact me, but it's been 30 or so days and no one has contacted me. Conclusion, stay away from this store if you do not want to waste good time or money. read more

Please do NOT buy anything at Teletron or thinking of going there. Very dishonest businesses and they will scam your money!!! I brought this YouSingHD Karaoke machine for $1150 at Teletron of Bellaire in Houston, TX on Sunday, Jan. 3 I've been using it gave me problems since day one after an hour of used it keep on making this static noises can't hear the music and the picture on the TV isn't cleared when this happened. I called them the sale man told me to unplug waited 5 mins and it works again.... But it happens again and again still the same problems each times I used it. I am bringing the machine back tomorrow which will be on Wednesday, Jan 6 will see what they gonna tell me, I am prepared to this them to Court bc I am sick of tired dealing with dishonest Vietnamese businesses people wanna scam their own people's money! No offense to any honest Vietnamese businesses. But the one that are dishonest we needed someone needs to put a STOP to it already!!!! Please shared if you have any issues with them before!
