    BLACKLISTED. I didn't blacklist Teletron, they blacklisted me. Teletron is the only business that will ask you not to come back as a customer! If you are fortunate enough to read my review, take an extra minute or two to check out reviews already posted AS WELL AS the filtered reviews. You'll be glad you did. My sister-in-law, who lives far north in Atascocita, asked that I find out about a Teletron antenna that could capture local Asian channels that all her friends were able to get in the Southwest area. I figured since it is located next to my favorite restaurants, might as well drop by. So here we go: Upon arrival of location, it reminded me of a Fry's electronics wannabe, only more ghetto & low budget. In the parking lot, I noticed 3 City of Houston police cars (one of them unmarked) & at least four policeman guarding the entrance as I walk in. I approached a salesman to inquire about an entertainment system & this infamous antenna they were selling. His lack of knowledge of the product & condescending tone bothered me as he explained details about the antenna. I passed on the $5,000 entertainment system & proceeded to ask about the antenna. He confirmed that if I bought this, it would allow reception for local Vietnamese stations. For $25, not a bad deal I suppose as I inquired about their return policy. I SPECIFICALLY asked him that if I could not get these Asian stations he talks about, particularly because of our location far up north in Atascocita, am I able to return this for a refund. He said, "Yes, we accept returns if that is the case." As I go and pay for the item, I asked the checkout girl the same question and she gave me the same answer. I go home that night and spend about an hour with no success getting the Asian channels. I look for my receipt & noted... The receipt was folded and tucked into an envelope? I opened up the envelope & read the return policy to make sure I bring it back within the usual 14 days that a typical electronics store would have. Instead, I find that it states there is NO REFUNDS and NO RETURNS/EXCHANGES unless it is defective & if defective, you can only get an identical product: "Defective products may be exchanged for identical products only if returned to the store within 14 days of purchase date. Manufacturer's warranty applies after this 14 days period. Any product may be returned for a full refund if returned within 7 days of purchase and unopened and unused, except for special orders, shavers, karaoke, cameras, camcorders, refrigerators, washers/dryers, digital camera/camcorder, computer, massage chair, furniture & seasonal items." Read this carefully. After the word "except", ALL of the items listed INCLUDE EVERYTHING they sell. Despite this, I feel that since they told me it's returnable, I am sure they'll keep their word. I return to the store two days later & go straight to the same checkout girl for the return. She pointed me to the customer service desk in the back and said, "He should be able to check it & do the refund." I head over there & this dude looked at me like I was stupid. Conversation: Him: We cannot accept returns, why are you returning it? Me: Your girl over there at the cashier's desk told me I could when I bought it. In addition, the salesperson right there sitting at the table also told me that too. Him: Yeah rite, I'll ask her... Him: She told me she didn't tell you any of that. Did you read our return policy? No one here told you that you can return anything. We can't make money if we allow people to return things they buy. Me: REALLY???! I have no reason to lie. I would not have bought it if I 1) knew it didn't work and 2) your staff told me I could not return it. Since you are basically calling me a liar, get your store manager out here NOW. Him: Uh, uh.... I will ask him. (He disappears to the back for 5 mins.) Him: Mgr said he is not authorizing the return. Me: I told you I wanted to see him, please get him out here NOW. I am NOT leaving until I get my money back. Dude hesitates & goes to the back. Finally, the manager appears & requests to have a private talk in the back. Me: No, I am not going back there, just give me my refund! Your people called me a LIAR, why do we need to hide back there anyways? People need to know about ur deceptive business practices. Mgr: Please don't raise your voice & go w me to the back. Me: I am not going anywhere, esp if your folks are calling me a liar when truly YOU GUYS R THE LIARS (pointing at him). Mgr pulls out his walkie talkie and yells, "Police! I need police here now!!" Within less than a minute, a City of Houston cop car pulls up in the front and an officer rushes in and invites me outside. During our talk, the manager sends out a guy "to smoke" & evesdrop on our convo. Cop did nothing 4 me & asked if I read the return policy. BOTTOM LINE: NO REFUNDS HERE. Would've been SOL if I bought that 5k system!

    Everything in the store looks boot-legged. Example: The store proudly displays that they are a Tempur-Pedic Elite Retailer, but you cannot locate them on the Tempur-Pedic website for authorized retailer. Not just the Bellaire location, but none of the Teletron location across US is listed on the Tempur-Pedic site. I have emailed Tempur-Pedic to verify this, but haven't heard back yet. I strongly recommend you do your research before buying anything from this store.

    The stuff here are really nice and high end and pretty pricey. But the employee were nice enough to explain their merchandise.

Next, I don't hear for them for days and called about what the status was. They say they were still waiting for approval from the warranty company and would call and let us know when that happened. Then comes the weekend and I get a surprise call at 10am with a guy saying he's coming out to fix the refrigerator - no appointment was ever booked so I say we aren't available. They call me and insist that they had spoken with me to schedule an appointment previously. Absolutely not true at all - the last time we had spoke I had called them and they said they would contact me once they got approval. Idiots. Next the idiots call me and admit that they were wrong and had us mixed up with someone else. They book us for mid week which is great - happy to have it on the schedule. The day before the scheduled time they call and say they don't have the parts, so they have to cancel, but will call me to reschedule. 2 weeks pass I call in to check the status, ignore my phone calls. I leave voicemails and never receive a response. I notice they must have communicated with my warranty company who is trying to mark my repair as complete. These people are clearly scammers. Honestly just to spite these people I'm probably going to sue them at this point.

    My rating is based on the time it took to order parts and actual repair time. I am thank it was summer and things could air-dry much faster - huge disappointment. However, the techs who came all three times (yes, three trips) were very kind, very professional, and very informative. There was not a call for over 2 weeks. I called them and the phone person said someone within the shop said it was a pre-existing condition (i.e. not covered) and they would call back. Again, we never heard anything from them. Long story short; I worked with the home warranty and they sent a second repair company that was competent. They broke the machine down and for it was an inverter on the freezer.
