I picked out some Audio Technica headphones for the trade, and did end up getting the protection plan (the guy was honest and we shared experiences of having headphones snap on us. I brought my young child in to encourage his drive to play piano. After calling and explaining what…read moreI was looking for and my hesitation with the age of my child I was match with our first instructor. The layout of the facility is confusing your first time and after waiting in the front room for 15 of our 30 minute lesson, we finally walked through the hallways to find him scrolling on his phone. At the date and time he had available, I was not always going to be able to be with my child. Sometimes it would be Grandma. I asked him to meet us at the front door for the next weeks appointment because it would not be me. He didn't. Then he didn't have the lesson book or the client contract for us to sign. When I questioned his preparedness he told me I was being hostile and fired us as clients. Then I spoke with the owner about my experience and she offered to take on my son. First appointment went absolutely great. The second was a catastrophe. Our appointments were one week apart and we were to complete multiple pages of the books and practice 5 times a week. We were able to get in 4/5 practices. Our family dog became very sick that week and attention was paid elsewhere. I tried to explain that we had a very stressful week with our dog dying and she didn't blink an eye. Not one condolence or word of compassion. She shamed me, as the parent, for not sticking to the 5 practices and for not acquiring a full sized piano in the week's time. I tried to explain that the piano was coming after the 25... going so far as to explain that it would be available after the "Christian Holiday" on the 25th to elude to the fact it was a Christmas present for my son. He was in the room with us and still believes in Santa. When I asked why we needed a full sized piano for the first two lessons where we were only using 6 keys, she called me defensive and attacked my character. I had prepaid for the month of lessons and when I asked her to refund via the mail she stated that she would not because I did not drop off the check the day after our first meeting. This happened to be the day our dog became gravely ill. On a positive, the facility is relatively clean.
