YAY! I get to finally write a review on 4P4L!!…read more We found 4P4L due to a Petfinder search back in 2021. The dog we initially adopted wasn't good with our cats even though he was fine in his foster home with the resident cat. 4P4L understood and we were able to return him. They had asked me to write an updated bio for him so that potential adopters would get a better understanding of his demeanor. He was such a sweet dog but my cats weren't his thing, which wasn't his fault in the slightest. I wrote the bio and he got adopted. I was then asked to volunteer and become a foster, so we started fostering. A 3 day sleepover for a foster pup is how we started and since 2021, we have fostered over 100 dogs and volunteer at adoption events. While it is so tempting to adopt all our fosters, we know we're just helping them adjust to home life. There have been a few that we invoked the 6 month rule: if we have the pup for 6 months, we would adopt him/her because at 6 months, you're a part of our pack. Last month, there was a need to foster these 2 rottie pups because it was time for them to separate from their momma and momma needed a break. Rotties are one of our preferred breeds! Well, we invoked the 6 DAY rule knowing that the pups would be adopted within the week. So that's it! That's how we got our Saoirse! Even if you cannot adopt, please think about volunteering with us or becoming a foster! A little weekend break from the kennel is what all the dogs need and you may just invoke your own 6 day rule!!

So SOMEHOW, SOMEONE here at Yelp took away my ORIGINAL , TRUTHFUL review of this crappy rescue…read more Pics to prove what they did. It appears this rescue is able to pick and choose their posted reviews! Really Yelp? What have you turned into if we cannot post our TRUTHFUL experiences here? This upsetting and honestly, it's CENSORSHIP! Let me try again and see if yelp decides to censor me again. We adopted a cockapoo here. My mother paid $480 for our girl. We arrived and she comes out to us, UNBATHED, UNGROOMED and she SMELLED awful. She had diarrhea all over her rear end and she was SO terrified, she was shaking and pooped in the girls arms as she was carrying her. It was OBVIOUS that not ONE person had worked with her, bathed her or groomed her since she arrived at this facility! Just put her up on line and waited for someone to adopt her. Clearly NOT in it for the welfare of these animals. Just the money. Never an apology or explanation for this. No follow up phone call to see how she was adjusting. NOTHING. Based on everything here, we DO NOT RECOMMEND this rescue. They are SHAMEFUL!

There is a special place in the heavens for those involved with the NMDR. After our furbaby of 12…read moreyears (15yrs old, rescued at 3yrs old) crossed the rainbow bridge, we didn't know if or how long it would be before we could adopt again. It was so painful. But he had a happy, spoiled life full of love..& after finding "Mushu" (now Smoosh) on the NDMR website, we went through the application process & traveled from out of state to meet/bring him home. At 3yrs old & didn't know much (about anything.) Like a newborn puppy, he had to learn about doorways, windows, stairs, toys...everything! He's the sweetest, kindest, cutest most precious lil prince. From frozen scared, to curious and constant learning..we are so blessed to have found NMDR who gave us our GOOD BOY Smoosh.

My husband and I have been trying to adopt from NMDR several times. We are a retired, older couple,…read moreand all of the rules and requirements have stopped us in our tracks. We are approved, but by the time we get an appointment, all the pups that would fit our lifestyle are gone. We have tried repeatedly to set up appointments, but nothing ever works out. We are frustrated to say the least. We understand the need for some of the strict rules, but some of them are just petty. It's not easy for older folks to drop everything to drive to Peyton. At this point, we are very discouraged. Some things just aren't meant to be. The dogs are lucky to have you, but we could also give one of these precious souls a wonderful home.

This is a very dishonest business. We gave Jane Peck a deposit for a puppy in late 2018, and we…read morestill do not have a puppy. The first year was due to bad timing on our part, but we were REPEATEDLY assured that it would not be a problem; she would give us a puppy from a later litter. She told me over and over about how another client had delayed for 2 years! But when we were ready in late 2019, she wanted to give us a male puppy instead of the girl we had requested. She "didn't remember" our request for a girl pup. So we waited for the next litter...which "was delayed due to Covid." Finally she promised us a puppy in October 2020, but the mother dog had a medical emergency. Then she said that she couldn't give us puppies from the next 2 litters; they were "promised to kids as Christmas presents." So we were supposed to get a puppy in early 2021, but that mother dog never could get pregnant. So we were promised a girl pup from a May 2021 litter, but the week we were going to pick her up, Jane decided to keep the puppy for herself. She didn't even bother to email or write us her decision; we almost made a 1500 mile journey for nothing. Jane Peck promised us our deposit back on 3 occasions, in writing, but that was a lie. She never gave us our money back. Stay away from this business. Do NOT give her your money. She is a deceitful, unscrupulous business person.

Now that we are ready for our second dog, there is no other breeder we trust more. Each puppy get individual attention, love, and care. She is a great resource for anyone new to taking care of dog, and can answer any questions you may have. Highly recommended labradoodle breeder.
