I was given a price for the office visit and told that that's the immediate price I would pay before the visit and then they would work out whether there is an additional fee required based on what happened during the visit. After much back and forth I finally figured out that there was quite a wide range for the office visit could cost. Nor was there a whole lot of clarity on what factors would influence the price. Next, I tried to get pricing for the specific CPT code. They could not or would not give this to me. All in all, there is virtually no transparency in the pricing. This is not the experience I have had with other facilities so something is rather unusual about NHOC.

The office manager was excellent and very efficient with my insurance, scheduling and follow up. The technicians were very professional and extremely accommodating getting me in and out of the machine with my painful back. They provided me a disc for my back surgeon immediately and said it would take less than 48 hours for the radiologist to do the report. I left to bring the disc to my back surgeon and by the time I got there, the Rayus radiologist had already read the MRI and sent a comprehensive report to my doctor!!! I had to go back today for another copy of my disc for the pain neurologist and they had it ready and waiting for me! I highly recommend the staff at Rayus Radiology in Haverhill! Office Experience: -Got bone x-ray day of order…read more -3 separate calls needed to schedule a CT Scan. Appointment was for 4 days later. Upon arrival I was informed this was a STAT order. -Spoke with same phone contact each time. 1st: cranky but got her to laugh. Said she'd call me back with prior authorization despite doctors's order. Never did. -Second time I called she scolded me to bring my insurance card with me. (Vs informing me politely) -Third call 2 days later got appoint for Thursday. "Be prepared to pay $320!!!". Very rude, loud and cranky. Completed all electronic paperwork and uploaded with my insurance card in advance per appointment confirmation text. Arrival: -no charge for procedure (contrary to the mean phone person) -Asked for my insurance card again despite already uploading. (Company policy) -made me fill out previously submitted paperwork AGAIN because their system on retains the first page and also never stores your height and date. "It's a system issue we've had for months". -only after the appointment did they inform me it was an emergency STAT order and I should have been seen Monday when I had the bone x-ray vs waiting 3 1/2 days. Medically, this is a top notch place with top notch care. I've been going there for several years. However, it's ironic how medical facilities require patients to complete a code of conduct agreement annually yet they allow their clerical staff to be rude and borderline abusive to their patients.

She couldn't find the order either but apologized and said it was probably a system issue and if I could contact my doctor to have them send it one more time but to her attention. She said she'd call me back once she got it and make my appt. Rene did just that. She got my order. Called me back. Made my appt and did it with such friendliness courtesy and genuine regard for me. THIS is customer service. Old-fashioned 'let me help you out let me see what I can do for you' customer service. THANK YOU RENE for going above and beyond the entire time. She was just so nice about everything and it's so rare to encounter that nowadays. Give this woman a raise because trust me, she's a rare gem!

Horrible experience today at the Bedford, NH location. Front office support is the worst…read more For annual physical, was informed I could get my labs done a week prior to the physical. I drove to NH from Massachusetts and waited an hour to have blood drawn. Once served, it was determined no lab orders were available. Called Bedford DMC front office of which they told me lab order was expired (just talked to them a week prior about scheduling labs mind you). Courtney informed me there was nothing she could do. I fasted all night and morning and drove 30+ miles to receive such a nasty response. Hopefully, I will, eventually, get a lab order and do this all over again before my physical exam (not holding my breath). I am very loyal to my primary care physician, Dr. Koshy, and have been seeing him for over 20+ years as I still see him even though I relocated to Massachusetts. However, at this point, I may have to change primary care services to something more local to Massachusetts. This is unfortunate, as Dr. Koshy is the best! However, I cannot say the same for his support staff.
