However, I truly enjoyed the time we spent in Tupelo and Vanelli's. Everyone we ran in to, both staff and customers, was friendly. It was a Friday night so Vanelli's was busy but we were able to be seated right away and the kitchen was working hard to get everyone's orders out. We got an order of cheese bread and 4 individual pizzas which were WAAAYYYY too much food and then I realized they aren't really "individuals" they are like 12 inches or something. They don't skimp on the toppings and they make a good crust which holds up to those toppings very well. Definitely planning to come back and spend more time in Tupelo and have dinner here again.

They were pretty busy so my expectations were high. I don't review regular pizza places the same as a Chicago or NYC pie, that wouldn't be fair. We all know the crust makes the pizza and I didn't appreciate this crust so much. It had a strange texture and taste. I couldn't put my finger on it almost like play dough. Maybe because I got a thin crust. I would definitely revisit this place to try something else on the menu. I hope I just caught them on an off day.
