We rented inner tubes with them to float on the river next to Telluride. The employee told us that it would take about 1 hour to float 3 miles, so we parked our car at the end of those 3 miles so we could easily finish our float at our car and head home. After 2 hours, we had only floated 1 mile. So, it would've taken us 6 hours to get back to our car instead of the expected 1 hour, at which it would've been after dark and much colder. Thankfully we brought a cell phone (even though we were instructed not to) and thankfully we had friends in the area we could call to pick us up. But the completely incorrect information we received from this company still put us in harm's way and could've caused us to be in a legitimately dangerous situation if we were any less lucky. I reached out to the company multiple times about their errors, and they never responded. Please do not ever rent with this company or trust any information they give you.

Everyone there is always very helpful and knowledgeable about the various trails and places to visit in the area. There's plenty of room in the park for any size coach or fifth wheel and room to park a vehicle in front of site. The sites are well maintained and they are pet friendly as long as you clean up after them. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained too. Jeep rental is always a good experience also. They're well maintained and it's a great way to get up in the high country for amazing views. I will definitely be returning here in the future as it is my favorite place to stay!

He took us to the back country away from the chaos of the park. We found some fresh ice tucked into a little cut with no one around, it was amazing!! I had climbed before, but my partner hadn't. No stress at all, he made sure we both had an absolute blast! Can't say enough about Spence. For starters, I like that the building seems to be an old train depot. We were immediately greeted by Patty and she was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She was able to answer all of our questions about sites, hiking, parking and stuff to see on our trek back down to Durango. Also, she did an awesome job juggling multiple visitors. After a long drive we also appreciated the clean restroom and place to refill our water bottles. Oh, and there was plenty of parking out back. I can't imagine a better welcoming to Ouray!

There was a volunteer who got testy with me when I went looking for the locally made goods their signage seemed to advertise. Apparently I was wrong and they don't sell goods there. There's a spot to take a selfie with the landscape of Ouray - they have a picture hung where you can do that. And there's a lovely photo of trees with their fall colors as well. Lots of maps and informational brochures. And a water bottle filler plus restrooms. It's a good place to stop for information and to take a break.
