There o a luncheon to thank the women who worked hard and/or made monetary donations. There were sandwiches and fruit and dessert. Individual achievements we recognized. Temple Beth David can truly be called the promised land for all who join and attend it. TBD has a diversity of services, congregation members, events, and the providing of knowledge and input regarding the adherence to Judaism in every way, shape and form. When Rabbi Nancy Myers prays and speaks during a service, it is done in a manner that allows you to be inspired and dedicated to the Jewish religion and the various aspects of it. She is very innovative in her awareness, manner and style. Rabbi Myers is also an excellent rabbinic teacher who lets you know the who, what, where and when of Judaism. Cantor Nancy Linder, who sings in very beautiful way, makes you want to listen, sing, and be loving of your faith. If there was a Jewish Voice Show, she would be given a first-place award for her musical talent and religious singing style (plus, if she was on the regular Voice Show, Cantor Linder would also infinitely be awarded by them!!) Temple Beth David's Brotherhood and Sisterhood work together to provide our members with with delightful resources and happenings. From brunches and carnivals to charitable donations and involved services, it would make you attending to the nth degree!! They are very much for you and with you as a productive and needed resource!! Our Temple also have a vibrant pre-school and religious school for students to learn in all different manners. The pre-school will educate the youthful students so that when they go to public school, each of them will have a high academic status and very much earning good grades from kindergarten and beyond. The religious school is designed to give every student a need to know all the different aspects of Judaism. They will be educated for everything from history and Hebrew to Judaic art and services. Both of these are true student educational environments!! As one who has been a member of several synagogues, Temple Beth David is my favorite in so many different ways. A very friendly and welcoming place. I've been previewing temples in the OC area, (for a possible move next year) and so far, this one is the clear winner. Pluses- a genuinely passionate and knowledgable Rabbi Nancy Myers, Cantor Nancy Linder, that gorgeous stained glass window in the sanctuary that must be viewed at sunrise or sunset, the multicultural mix of people, & events like the second night Seder for the entire family. The couple we sat across from at dinner raved about the pre-school and religious schools on site. I've also been to an evening service and I've always felt welcomed but not pressured. I came here expecting it to be like every other synagogue, but it's not. When I came here for the first time. I INSTANTLY felt welcomed and at home. I feel like I can take my shoes off and walk barefoot because of how warm and comfortable it feels here. Everyone is very welcoming. I feel like I'm in one big family here. Everybody knows each other and is genuine. They also have great events that go on for people of all ages. If you are looking for a great house of worship, then you should definitely come to one of their shabbat services. read more

In many ways, Temple Beth David represents the best of Judaism. Its Rabbi, Cantor and Educators are at the top of their fields. The congregation is diverse, well-educated, and involved. In response to Yaniv, synagogues don't run on air! I have been a member of Beth David for 49years and paid dues each and every one of those years. To sustain a staff and maintain a building is an expensive thing. I am reminded of the old adage, water is free but the pipes that bring it to you and the chemicals used to purify it for your use are not free. Temple Beth David is a vibrant, welcoming place. We are diverse, welcoming and inclusive. Adult education, musical Shabbats, Shabbat minyan, chavurot all work toward offering all the Joys of Judaism. If Yaniv wants a free place to worship, there are places for that, but a temple that offers so many programs and opportunities cannot exist without being funded by members and others. It is a welcoming and friendly congregation, and a full service Reform synagogue, with a preschool, religious school, and adult education. The Rabbi is friendly and scholarly, and the Cantor and choir are very moving with a broad repertoire. It also has an active senior program. I am a happy congregant. read more

We came as a guest, and stayed as a part of the family. Temple Beth David has been our religious home for over the past five years. Who knew one Bat Mitzavah could lead to such joy in my family's lives. We were always looking for a place to worship with our young family. And when we moved from Compton , CA to Westminster, CA Temple Beth David was within walking distance. My husband and youngest daughter were interested in becoming Reform Jews and this was the place for us. A wonderful religious school , multi generational activities, services filled with music and insight of our ever changing world, community out reach programs, this place was it.
