Rabbi greets every person individually on Shabbat. Most of the music is Christian and the prayers are in Hebrew and English. There is pot luck lunch following the service. Perhaps because I live a distance away, I always have a problem finding the building which is undistinguished from any other building in the area. Safety is well covered by trained individuals who remain alert the entire time. I felt safe and nourished there.

Because of how supportive they are, I eventually joined and became much more involved. It is hard to express how many wonderful people are a part of this congregation. I've made a lot of friends through First Pres who will likely be a part of my life for as long as it lasts. They offer something for everyone. There are typically 3 services each Sunday including a chapel service at 8:15, a "New Song" service at 9:00 and a traditional service at 11:00. They also have an affiliated Pre-school for families with young children. I can wholeheartedly recommend giving them a try. If you are new to the area or are seeking a new place to worship, First Presbyterian should be at the top of your list of candidates. Hope to see you there.
