Shortly after communicating our decision, a report was made regarding alleged issues involving our household. The matter was reviewed and dismissed immediately with no findings. While we understand that childcare providers are mandated reporters, the timing and handling of this situation were deeply troubling and raised serious concerns about judgment and professionalism. It is also worth noting that the staff member we had raised concerns about was no longer employed at the center within a few weeks of those concerns being brought forward. This experience completely undermined our trust in the center and its leadership. Families should feel confident that concerns will be handled constructively and responsibly unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about how concerns are addressed and escalated before enrolling

Our initial tour of The Learning Cottage left us feeling completely confident that this was the best place for our family (a feeling we had yet to experience at many other centers). We were thrilled when a part time spot opened in the JPI classroom and were able to quickly transition into a full time role. Within just a few weeks our daughter's speech and excitement to learn blossomed and she has continued to excel at The Learning Cottage. She was speaking incessantly, making friends, and having fun! She (and we) absolutely adore her teachers and their commitment to each child's academic and socioemotional development is obvious. As always, and in act of good faith, I paid my bills right away after I recieved it, and based on what they said: I did not give them enought time to apply that credit. What's even more concerning is their refusal to fix this issue, taking full responsibility for the mistake.. NO, I DID NOT ASK for a refund, I asked for a correction of billing (OVERCHARGED). Let me add, they said that if I dispute the charge with my BANK my daughter will not be allowed to FINISH SCHOOL and GRADUATE WITH HER FRIENDS! I've made numerous attempts to resolve this issue, emails and calls that are ignored. As a parent, it's disheartening to see an institution prioritize profits over fairness and transparency. While the teachers at this location are indeed kind and dedicated professionals, the Director/Owners shortcomings overshadow the positive aspects of the school. I hope the academy reevaluates its billing practices and considers the impact on families like mine. It truly is a small community where everyone supports one another and genuinely cares about the children. This was the only preschool where my 13-month-old daughter got off my lap during our tour and immediately started exploring. That alone told me she felt safe and comfortable. She also developed a love of vegetables because of the school's focus on healthy eating. When she was teething, her teachers offered her frozen peas to help soothe her gums, and to this day they are still one of her favorite snacks! Most importantly, she absolutely loved going to school every day. The teachers created such a fun, nurturing environment that she was always excited to learn, play, and see her friends.
