I found Kurt while looking on the Knot for officiants, sent a message and received a quick response to set up a phone meeting. After speaking with him for those 15-20 minutes, my husband and I were sold that this was the person to choose. We worked closely with Kurt through the whole planning process. We had one face to face meeting with Kurt at a local coffee shop, where we discussed what we were looking for in the ceremony, our interests, and important aspects that we wanted included in the ceremony. I received the first draft not too long after this meeting and we were completely blown away. Just from the first draft we knew we definitely made the right decision. Due to my husband and I having busy work schedules, Kurt and I worked mainly through email and phone calls, sending drafts back and forth with edits until we reached our final draft. We did decide to let Kurt surprise us with part, and I highly recommend couples to do this. His words were so beautiful and added so much to the love that we were trying to capture through our ceremony. Denise was so understand and compassionate, and was available the day of our wedding. Our first phone call, she made me feel so relaxed and in good hands. She is very easy to work with and is always available to answer questions. We filled out a questionnaire so she could get to know myself and my husband a bit more and then she wrote out our wedding services based on the extensive questions she asked. We were given a chance to read through and review the ceremony, which she wrote out in full detail. Denise is so well organized and provides excellent attention to detail, and we were so pleased with this. She gave us peace of mind for our wedding day. When we met Denise for the rehearsal we immediately felt she is such a kind soul who is in this field because of her passion for love and for helping others with their special days. We had decided to gather a small group of our friends and family for a semi-informal outdoor ceremony overlooking the mountains we love to hike. We thought Rev. Louis was terrific. So many guests told me after that is was the most romantic, heartfelt, sentimental wedding ceremony they had ever seen. My husband and I talked to soooo many different officiants but Stephanie stood out to us and honestly, it was the best wedding decision we could have made. Prior to the actual ceremony, unforeseen circumstances came up and we decided to get legally married in advance. Stephanie was able to make that happen last minute and took care of all of the paperwork. For our "real" ceremony, Stephanie crafted up the most beautiful speech based on our questionnaire responses. Many of the guests assumed she was a family member or friend because she seemed to know us so well. My husband and I figured that the ceremony wouldn't be super emotional for us since we had already been legally married and did a first-look before the wedding. Oh, how wrong we were!
