The lady was insanely lazy. I asked for more pressure, she could not be bothered. It was so unprofessional and such a rip off. Her massaging had no skill to it. She pretty much just applied oil all over my back and made a light circular motion that someone at the beach can do if you ask them to put sunblock in your back. Then she spent a good 5 min wiping the oil off which again was a ploy to not have to actually do any massaging. I am even more tense now than I am before I walked in there. The rule of thumb in these places seems to be that you pay essentially $1 per minute - keeps it simple and you know what you're up for. I can reccommend the head, neck, shoulder and back massages. They will get into your butt cheeks with the back one, but they're all performed fully clothed and oil free so even the modest should feel comfortable. These massages are not for the faint hearted (unless you specify) as there are elbows involved. I also enjoy the akon cleanse - even if just for the gross out factor of seeing how brown your feet can make the water and the foot reflexology seems to genuinely benefit me. Has is an affordable, quick and easy way to take some time out and unwind during your week, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed with the required level of calming bing bong in the background. The other service I have used at the House of Healing is the naturopath and vega testing. Whilst the staff were lovely, I had always thought that I was a big supporter of alternative medicine but I failed to observe a significant difference in my health. I left post-testing with the bounty of very expensive herbal remedies they have you buy and all the good intentions in the world. When it comes down to it, the key is really to change your lifestyle and adhere to a high protein, wheat free, dairy free, caffeine free, booze free, fun free diet. I can't say I noticed any effects from the herbal remedies and despite being told I was mildly allergic to cashews, I continue to eat them with no discernable ill effects. Maybe I'm just a naughty kid but I did stick to the regime I was given for almost three months aside from the occasional coffee / wine slip up and I'm not convinced I'd bother with a naturopath again.

Though there is a sort of massage menu, packages are quickly tailored to the individual needs of each client, and level of pressure can be negotiated throughout the experience, but is generally only required at the commencement of the massage as they work out your desired level pretty quickly. Ha's offers a couple of other treatments not that common to shopping centre massage parlours which include ear candling and lymphatic massage. Personally, I think ear-candling is bull honky, but having it done at Ha's was a pleasant enough experience and safe although involving fire. The day I had lymphatic massage on my face I was feeling a bit ill going in, and I felt this massage really helped and I left Ha's as I always do, feeling better.

Don't stress about receiving below-par treatment though, because there is always several tutors on and the students have to report to them constantly about their patients and their thoughts for treatments. The sessions are so cheap at $10 for the first hour consultation and then $5 after that for every half hr consultation. There is also rarely a long waiting period and if you rang up on any given day it should not take more than a couple of days to get you booked in. Their range of services include: * Back, neck and limb pain * Sports injuries * Orthopaedic injuries (including rehabilitation after surgery) * Headaches * Repetition strain injuries, overuse syndromes and other work related problems * Movement related disorders. They will also come up with a selection of exercises that you can take home with you which will help you continue with your treatment plan long after you have gone home.
