Very trashy looking rundown. Most of the stores were not open. Very disappointed. Plaster broke on the walls.

Honestly this mall is pretty poor, there just aren't a whole lot of attractions or reasons to come to it. The kids play areas pretty beat down and old, I've even seen a roach there before. From a male's perspective they really don't have a whole lot of stores at all here. For women that have a few stores I believe there is a forever 21 maybe. if you need shoes you could come here they have a few of the typical places like finish line. generally speaking the mall usually looks pretty clean and I see security guards walking around but for the most part it usually feels like a pretty deserted shopping area. Full disclosure I have not been to a movie here, but it is really cool that they have IMAX. I think most people don't really have much of a reason to visit this mall. There is absolutely nothing in this mall except for Dillards and a few stores who sell sportswear. Most of the employees in this stores of the mall have funky attitudes and act like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. I don't see myself shopping out of this mall anything soon. read more

I really don't know if you could call this place a 'mall,' still because there are more closed stores in this place than opened ones. Still, there is a good amount of people here I guess but it's really sad that there's not much to do or see here. I'm not sure who owns this mall and I'm not entirely sure how they'll turn this place around but this place is so 'dead,' that I really think they need to do something to make it more lively again. It's really quite sad because the stores have potential to be more but there's just not enough foot traffic coming through. I'm sorry to say that this is not worth wasting your time to but it is very possible that you will find a good "steal" here. I think the shop owners are desperate to make ends meet so you may just find a deal is what I mean. read more

4 Stars for the extremely helpful associate in Dillard's at the purse section. I have been searching for a specific Vera Bradley tote (I should have bought it when I saw it). She let me know that the Dillard's outlet might have it because pieces of the collections that don't sell quickly are shipped out to make room for new collection pieces. Will return for those amazingly detailed leather wallets (great leather work!) Less than 1 star to the associate that called security/TOD to hover around while my family shopped, but she was apparently blind to the lady that put some product in her purse near the clearance jewelry. read more

Not much variety. $35 for kids to get picture taken with Santa? Took Annie's pretzels out and replaced with new pretzel store. My nieces wanted pretzel bites so we were about to stop....one worker was literally wiping her NOSE behind the counter. No gloves. Wiped her nose and then wiped her hand on her pants. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other girl was making pretzels in the front window area and had the biggest frown and scowl on her face. If you know that everybody walking by was going to see you....why would you pick your nose....and why would you stand there with a scowl on your face? The two people at the perfume/health care kiosk are WAY too aggressive. They come up and say "can I ask you a question" and you say "no thank you, not interested" and they FOLLOW YOU. One of them actually grabbed my hand and just started going to work, scraping my hand to show me all the dead skin cells, then putting lotion on, etc, etc, etc. This is after I told him "no thank you" - he just went for it anyway. And as he kept working on my hand, I kept telling him "I'm not buying anything, so you are wasting your time." I was trying to be polite and not rude, so it took a couple minutes of time before I could finally escape. Walked by today - told them "not interested, thank you" and one of them said 4-5 times "come back, come back, come back, come back." Now we will do everything possible to avoid them. The foodcourt also is mediocre with no variety. This mall needs a major infusion of new stores and more exciting stores/food choices. read more

It's so sad, what the Temple Mall has become. No more shopping for hours-on-end, in countless stores. We lost a good section of our parking lot to a carwash. And now I hear we are losing our movie theater. No more date night for people, well, except for going out to eat. If I played " Remember When," you would just cry. read more

Stuck in the 1980s. It doesn't bug me because the nostalgia takes me back. Wish they still had the carousel for my kid so minus a star! They've got an arcade and my family loves the skeeball and air hockey and spending a bunch of tokens to win tickets for crappy prizes at the dingy prize counter. They've got JC Penney amongst other standard mall retailers. I miss Fuddruckers and Radio Shack. In the early 1990s it had a Whataburger and a Spencer's. Many folks don't know how good the Piccadilly Cafeteria was where Cotton Patch Cafe now is. In a way, I hope they never remodel or replace it because it's such a memorable part of Temple. read more

For anyone that thinks Killeen Mall is bad, come here - you might just change your mind. Temple Mall is a ho-hum outdated exoskeleton excuse of a shopping center. Only real reason I'll still visit occasionally is for the IMAX theater, which maybe its only saving grace. If you live in Temple and don't feel like driving anywhere else, I guess this is your only option. Honestly, online shopping will be a better experience than perusing here. If you don't like crowds, then this mall is definitely for you. It's minimally occupied and/or mostly deserted every time I go. Yawn. NOTES - Parking lot: Do not park under trees or electrical lines. Temple Mall, why can't I quit you? Because you are the only mall that is five minutes from my parents' house. Listen up, City Slickers. If you are from Austin or Dallas or Houston, you will snicker when you peruse this small, dilapidated place. But if you live in Temple or one of its surrounding tiny towns, it is one of the only nearby places to shop. The anchor stores, Dillard's, Macy's and JcPenney are decent for a community this size and I live for Bath and Body Works. Over the years, the other stores in the mall have become more obscure and odd. I definitely get a whiff of a soon to be "dead mall" when shopping. For entertainment, there's a movie theater and a decent-sized arcade for the kids. Dining options include Cotton Patch, Casa Ole, Chick-fil-a, Fuddruckers, and some other small joints. If this mall were in Austin, it would get two stars, but since there is relatively no competition in Temple, it gets three from me. read more

Being the only other place to shop in temple its is good. but for a mall it is not that great. There should be way more shops. There should be a variety of stores for everyone. they need kids stores not just dept stores they have several shoe stores which i don't understand, in the past couple years a few stores have left that might should have stayed but someone how more clothing stores with a variety of clothes should come in to Temple mall. I don't think this mall is too bad. I prefer it over the Killeen Mall. I think it could use some improvements for stores. There are way too many shoe stores here, like 5 or 6. So many shoe stores but no kids apparel stores? Sure you can get kids clothes at JC Penneys, Dillards or Macy's but they don't have very good toddler boy sections. Oh wait, there is a kids apparel store. Squeaky shoes and more but it's EXTREMELY expensive and there's like NOTHING for boys there. My son likes the little kids playground inside. It's nice to take him there when it's too hot to go to the park. read more

I have a soft spot for malls spent a lot of time in arcades and such. This mall looks pretty deserted for stores but still has a unique flare to it. I have some good memories with the wife at this location. If your in Temple it's still worth a visit. read more

If I could give 1/2 star I would. This Mall, once a thriving hub of activity is now a run down deplorable dying shell of itself. The businesses are leaving in droves the property management has allowed for it to be ran down to the extent even the cinema marquis poster display frames have just fallen off the walls outside and are lying in bushes covered in trash and have not had current posters changed in over 3 years. The grass ,trees ,rose bushes etc have not been cared for in years the grass is rarely mowed there is trash EVERYWHERE the inside is not much better the air conditioning is spotty at best the mall is filthy starting with the carpet in the entryway gummy and sticky and stinky to dying plants in the inside planters. All major stores have left or on the way out the property managers seem to pocket the money and not invest one cent into the upkeep of the mall . I've never been in a filthier open business. It's a shame and they all need to be fired ALL OF THEM it's clear to ANYONE that the place is not maintained and instead is being allowed to fall into such disrepair I am expecting the city fire or code officials to just pull the plug and lock it down any day now . Shame on you for depriving Temple of what just a few years ago was a bustle of activity for teens elderly mall walkers and the local consumers we will no longer have a mall it's been ran into the ground! read more

This mall seems so deserted. There wasn't much people shopping at the mall. The shops here were the same shops you could find at the Killeen Mall. The only good things about this small mall is Macys, Casa Ole and the Theater. I probably won't be back unless I need to shop at Macys or if my husband wanted to eat at Casa Ole again. read more

Definitely not the best mall I have ever been to. I prefer the Richland Mall in Waco. The mall is small but stores keep coming and going like crazy. The only reason I go in there is to look at Bath and Bodyworks. The movie theater use to be awesome until they fired a lot of people. Now it's a bit empty and not as well kept. I thought the Killeen Mall was bad, but this one is awful. The whole building has a sad, outdated look-it obviously hasn't been renovated since the late 70s or early 80s. There aren't very many good stores-a few are good, but most are weird knock-off shops. There is an IMAX movie theater, but it's usually dirty and in desperate need of renovations. I try to avoid this mall at all costs, unless I really need something. read more

Depressing. Everything about it. If there is a positive, it would be that there is no shortage of parking. The selection of shops is absymal, the quality substandard. Even the Macy's and Dillards anchor stores seem to be carrying the inventory of the "clearance..sh-t that non one in real america would buy" variety. Food? court should be replaced by "Suicides R Us" for that is what you will want to do to yourself after shopping here. At a minimum, you will need to cleanse yourself with a nice hot shower. Made the mistake of getting a Gyro sandwich at the Great American Steak and More place....4 thin slices of frozen gyro strips and topped with mayonnaise. Ok, the tomatoes were good as were the grilled onions. I asked the guy working (surely the owner) if he put tzatziki and he said yes, real Kronos Brand Tzaziki he said proudly. 3 bites in and I cant wait to hit the stool and get it out of me... I'm not sure the "new ownership" knows what they're doing....they're hurting their food court businesses. We've been going to the Temple Mall for 12 years....but tonight (March 9th, 2021) we had a horrible experience. We decided to have dinner at the food court because the food is always good. Our kids, 11 and 6, love the pizza from Niki Romas, and my wife and I wanted to try the Hibachi from King Noodle (fantastic). The problems arose after we got the kids food and we were looking for a place to sit down. There was nothing but tiny tables for 2...there was 4 of us. We set the kids plates, drinks, napkins, sides etc down on the table...and there wasn't room for much else. My wife and I applied common sense logic to the problem and started to move another table over to ours when a janitor/ head of mall security pounced on us and very rudely asked my wife "didn't you see that sign"...as he pointed to a sign on a table 18 feet away...as neither our table nor the table we were attempting to move had signs on them. the sign read "do not move tables". My wife and I looked around the food court....we were the ONLY customers there....not another soul. I asked him if he thought we were actually going to sit 6 feet away from each other....he said "no y'all can sit at the same table". My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief....then my wife pointed out that there were only 2 chairs at the tiny table meant for 2....and he replied...and I'm not kidding..."It's safe to move the chairs from that table to yours... but it's not safe to move the table...because of covid".... Zero common sense. If we had known about this stupidity before we ordered the kids food...we would've taken our business elsewhere and those small businesses would've lost money. But we were already committed, so we ordered the rest of our food and the 4 of us took an uncomfortable seat at a table made for 2. After I sat down...2 feet away from the table because I'm 6' tall and can't get my legs under it when there are 2 other chairs crammed under it in front of me...but I look to my right and see a ton of large round tables stacked up in the corner so they can't be used. When our 2nd order was ready I picked it up and tried to unpack the bag on the table...no room. I had to place the bag in the chair where God knows how many people put their ass each day...and unpack it. 2 big white to-go boxes with folding lids...2 bowls of soup, 4 dipping sauces and 2 more drinks....yeah...not even close to fitting. I had to put the bag on the floor, then put my soup on the floor, then had to rip the lids off our to-go boxes and put those on the floor too. It was NOT a pleasant experience to say the least....especially with the janitor/security agent watching us non-stop as if we were criminals.....EVERY bite we took. Before we left I told the guy at Niki's Roma Pizza what had happened and that we wouldn't be back if that's how the mall chooses to run things and he agreed that it was bad for their business (place was still dead)...and that captain janitor cop overreacts to the situation....so the concerns were already there. Coming in this mall makes me feel depressed...almost all of the stores are off-brand, and there are only a handful that exist outside of this mall. The only saving grace is the department stores, and they could stand to be improved too. The food court is a joke, and the whole mall is outdated. The movie theater is poorly kept up. Such missed opportunity with this mall. I recently relocated to Temple, and it's exciting to see all the new developments happening around town. Unfortunately, there's a rather large void in the middle of the impressive growth on 31st near the hospital. This mall could be successful. Instead it's horribly outdated, and seems to be nearly half vacant. They installed what seems to be a nice, newer sign on the main road visible from the "loop". Only problem is this sign is practically blank, exception being the anchor stores and theater. The other dozen signs are blank. My first impression was that there's nothing in the mall to advertise. However that isn't the case (for as few stores as there is) but you would never know by the blank signage. Maybe more people would stop if they knew there are actual stores to shop at inside that boring, blank, oversized beige box. Even better, tear down all but the anchor stores and create a "lifestyle center" between them. Something similar to Whitwood Mall in CA or Brookdale Center in MN. Some fountains, art installations, restaurants and retail shops (chain and independent). Something that sets it apart from the shopping centers nearby. Wishful thinking perhaps. Either way hopefully the owners or management will take notice of the negative perception this center has and bring some new life back into this center. read more

This mall has a lot of stores to choose from and does not have a lot of vacancies. The plants and trees are well maintained and the place is kept clean. The people who work at the mall tend to be friendly and pleasant. read more

Temple Mall Management needs to be more careful who they allow in the Temple Malls Kiosk Booths! Tired of rip-offs! The reason I say that?Nov. 16,2014 I went to the Temple Mall with my daughter and 2 grandkids to eat in a Mexican Food Place. Then my grandson wanted to look for shoes. On the way going there? I was approached in the mall by a very pushy salesman an Indian name Mike one of the managers! He called me over to his Kiosk Booth in the middle of the Temple Texas Mall called "Dead Sea Spa". Mike took my hand and said that he could help make my hands look young again. So he picked up my hand and Demo the product on a few of my nails. After he finished they looked really nice and shiny! He then when on to tell me that he had a really good deal for me and that he had only Three "dfi Nail Envy Manicure Sets" left! That if I bought one for $160.00 he would give me free replacement buffers, nail oil and hand cream when ever I needed them. That all I needed to do was to take in the empty tubes and he would replace them! He said he would even do better seeing he only had 3 total left, That if I bought the one for $160. That he would also give me the other 2 FREE!!! Mike told me that he has been in that mall for 9 years selling this product and that I would have a life time replacement and refill on all the products when ran out. So I ask him were do you get the refills? Mike said here! So I said your here in this Mall all the time? Mike said YES! I'm a senior citizen and when my daughter saw what I bought! My daughter was so mad at me! She told me that you can buy these buffers at any Beauty Supply! Not the same brand but does the same thing! When I got home I couldn't wait to do my other nails. Before I even finished all of them the buffer strip started pealing off the buffer! I went on line on the internet to check out on replacing the buffer. After getting on there site? I did not see anywhere were you could get free replacements. Nor were they would be free! I also found out that these boxes sold much cheaper for $69.99 each! That's is what I should have paid for the one box! What a liar and rip off! I wanted to go back to this mall and get my money back! I tried to use the clipper and they were very hard to use and to cut my nails with! They did not work that well at all! I have bought cheep ones at Wal-Mart and the Dollar Stores that work better than these expensive things! This is a joke! The Temple Texas Mall "Dead Sea Spa" salesman manager Mike is a rip-off! Do not buy anything from there! I called and wanted to get my money back and they would not let me seeing the receipt has no return or refunds on it! Nothing was said about they lie about being in the Mall for 9 years! They are only in that Mall around Christmas time in the Kiosk and there would be no way to get replacements seeing they would be gone the rest of the 11 months. They do not tell you were they are or were they would be. They told me there were in the Mall 9 years! Leading me to believe they were there all year! They lied about being in the Mall all the time, lied about getting replacements! You can't they wont be in the Mall cause they gone when Holidays are over! They lied about the price! What a Rip-Off !!! I hate being rip-off! I would not be so upset if they would have just been charged for the $69.99 for the on Kit with the other 2 being free! They jack up their prices way high! Buy them on line or threw Amazon not threw the Malls Kiosk's! Believe me they are so much cheaper and the very same brand!!! Sad thing is these people running this kiosk's do not even live here!
