Ladies beware! I went for the first time last Friday to see Henry Fong, a famous bass house DJ from LA. It was really fun, all things considered! I really liked the lighting layout -- the area under the DJ table and the ceiling column were both LED screens, which were really trippy to look at (love EDM visuals). Audio quality and volume was also nice! No complaints there. However, I wasn't really a fan of the crowd. I went alone, and people were pushy and not mindful of their space, especially at the front. I arrived around 11pm to get a nice spot at the front (I am 4'11" and also dedicated to the music!), and there were multiple groups of people trying to dance/shove me out of the way throughout the night (I heard one group who were vying for my spot say that I was "like a wall" LOL, damn right!!). I also saw a lot of folks (men and women!) scoping the place for a hookup and then leaving shortly after when they weren't successful, haha, or just being weird and objectifying women???? Maybe I just need to curb my expectations when it comes to going out dancing or clubbing in general, but yeah -- not a fan of that kind of energy. That said, there were definitely also people having fun, shuffling, dancing, and being respectful and courteous without being creepy. Chill place to come. I bought VIP package and well, for starters at the front they didnt even mentioned that I would get a VIP bracelet until I asked whay the difference was between general and VIP. Another thing, they dont tell you you can only get drinks up at the front. The people at the front dont ask either even if the bracelet is very pronounced for them to see. (1 star) literally no stars.... I paid $100 per ticket (two tickets) to experience what was honestly the worst New Year's celebration I've ever been to at Temple Nightclub. This night was supposed to be both my birthday and New Year's Eve, and nothing about this experience justified the price or the hype. There was no NYE countdown at all, which is unbelievable for a New Year's event. No moment, no energy, no collective celebration -- it honestly felt like just another dead night at a club. The vibe was extremely low. People looked sad, bored, or irritated, not excited to ring in a new year. Most people weren't even dressed like it was NYE, which says a lot about how poorly this event was curated. I like Ogeesy, but his performance was very underwhelming. He barely performed, did not engage the crowd, and brought no energy. It felt rushed and disconnected, not like a headlining New Year's set at all. To make things worse, everything was spilled everywhere, and despite having Tier 2 tickets, we were never given wristbands to access the upper level we paid for. Nothing about this night felt celebratory, special, or high-vibe -- especially for entering a new year or celebrating a birthday. I truly regret spending this money and wish I could get a refund so I can redo my birthday, because this was easily the most disappointing NYE experience I've ever had. Extremely Disappointed - No ADA Accommodation I came to Temple SF on August 2nd specifically to see Rubi Rose, and the entire experience left me feeling overlooked and disrespected. I'm an amputee and wear a visible prosthetic leg, and I arrived alone, expecting a night of music and fun. While some staff helped me skip the entrance line, once inside, I was offered a seat far away from the main stage--even after directly asking for accommodation. I stood from 11:30 PM until nearly 2:00 AM without any meaningful seating support. Despite contacting promoters beforehand, I was misinformed about accessibility. To make things worse, Rubi Rose never performed during the advertised event hours (10 PM to 2 AM)--I later found out she didn't even show until after 3:00 AM. That felt like false advertising. Being denied basic ADA accommodation by the GM, left alone for hours, and watching others receive better access felt humiliating and unacceptable. I've filed a formal ADA complaint and hope Temple SF takes this seriously. If you have accessibility needs, I suggest thinking twice before attending. read more

The security team (I think they were called unity) was super violent the night of September 19, Friday. One of the guards ended up bloodying one of the club goers, pushing him down like three times, and hitting him while he was down (the clubber never fought back, even tried running away). The other security guards didn't do anything to de-escalate the situation and guarded the guard while he was beating on the clubber. Buy tickets online! Plays edm on the top floor and edm remixes on the basement level 55. I think for more popular events they may regulate more but they didn't care to separate the tickets for either spaces. The lines going in are a bit confusing to navigate but the coming in from right side? is preticket and forward is guest list and other side is no ticket I think. The lounge area is quite new and refreshingly cold with some couches to wait for uber. Otherwise, warehouse vibes. Does get hot, bar area downstairs gets crowded. I would say there's p much no dress code. I mean probably no athletic wear but I saw girls wear jeans, and guys wear sneakers, puffer jackets and hoodies so not too bad. The security can be a bit aggressive with checking body for anything. There's a diversity of groups and i can see how level 55 can get packed but the top area has way more space. read more

The disorganization at this venue was incredibly annoying. We purchased VIP tickets with an open bar for the P-Lo event on February 13, 2025, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, security scanned our QR codes and stamped us without checking that we had VIP tickets or telling us we needed to pick up wristbands. When we got inside, we went to the bar in the lobby to the right to redeem our open bar access--only for the bartender to tell us we needed wristbands. This was the first time anyone mentioned wristbands. So we went back outside to get them, and that's when things became very ridiculous. The staff did not believe us even though we literally had an email receipt proving we paid for VIP. Instead of resolving the issue, they sent us back and forth between different people, making us wait repeatedly. Even the manager acted like we were trying to scam them, instead of acknowledging their own flawed process. Once we finally got our wristbands, we found out the open bar was only available upstairs--and the drink selection was seriously underwhelming for something advertised as an open bar. If you're going to charge extra for VIP, at least provide a variety of quality drinks instead of limiting options. That being said, P-Lo was amazing, and I still had a great time with my friends. But Temple seriously needs to fix their check-in process and train their staff better. It's not worth paying extra for VIP if they can't even verify tickets properly or communicate how things work. If you plan on coming here, don't waste your money on VIP--it's more hassle than it's worth. read more

I had a great experience at Temple recently with a bunch of friends on 5/25, which was allegedly their last day open according to SF news sources. I found out on that night from staff, however, that it wasn't their last night and they're still open. Having recently moved to SF from the LA metropolitan area, I was super impressed by the venue. It is way nicer and larger than any of the LA clubs I've been to in Ktown and Hollywood. I certainly hope it stays open because places like this make me want to go out every weekend. read more

Temple was my first clubbing experience in SF and I had so much fun! The music was great upstairs (Imanbek was the DJ playing that night) and downstairs they were playing a lot of classic throwback pop songs. However, I was disappointed by the bottle service we paid for. First, we paid almost $2000 for a table for 10, and there was barely enough space for 8 people and we had to share the space closely with another group of 4. The bouncer was rude to us, and ended up kicking our whole group out after claiming one person was being too rowdy- I would've assumed the amount we paid would've given us the privacy to have fun in our own table. The bottle service girls were really nice and helpful, and it was really fun when they came out with the birthday sign and confetti. I would come back to temple for a night out, but I do not recommend bottle service. It was overpriced and bouncer was not professional. If anyone has any recommendations for good bottle service in SF, would love to hear them! read more

Absolutely terrible experience at Temple Nightclub - and sadly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened to me here. I was randomly assaulted by a guy who apparently thought I was talking to his girlfriend (I wasn't). He made several aggressive remarks, approached me, and then punched me square in the jaw. Security rushed in and separated us, but what happened next was shocking: I was told that I needed to leave, while a group of security surrounded the individual who assaulted me and started talking to him like he was the victim. I was left completely confused about their approach. The manager came over and asked me--repeatedly--if I wanted to press charges. It felt less like they cared about my well-being and more like they were trying to cover themselves legally. Their priority seemed to be about avoiding liability, not making sure I was okay. To make matters worse, they tried to push me outside while the same guy was waiting there, still threatening to assault me again. It honestly felt like I was being set up. The way security handled the whole situation made me question if they personally knew this individual. I've been out in nightlife scenes for years and never experienced something this sketchy. Yes, there were maybe one or two staff members who seemed alright, but overall the security team was unprofessional and handled the situation terribly. Bottom line: If a fight breaks out at Temple Nightclub, it doesn't matter if you were the victim--you'll probably be kicked out too. Don't expect fairness, don't expect professionalism, and definitely don't expect safety. read more

Cheat codes postponed their show in August to Oct 6th so my texas friends visiting gave me their tixs. This club is still as horrible as it always has been. This time the issue was the entire club was atleast 90-100 degrees inside. Dont know if they were blasting the heater but how is this not a hazard? Someone could literally have a heat stroke inside and how are the employees able to work in these conditions? I was only in this club for 1 hr and we left before even cheat codes came out but it was too hot. This club does not care about their customers and their wellbeing, just $$$. Its easy to believe all the stories of Temple SF's security abusing and straight up assaulting its guests when it personally happens to you. This is the email I sent to their corporate email where they promised me they would action against the security who manhandled me but ultimately never did anything and ghosted me instead: Dear Temple Team, I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred on the night of 3/4/2023 at Temple SF. My group of 8 people had reserved a table on the dance floor, and within an hour of our arrival, I was forcefully removed from the club by security without any explanation. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the use of force that was unwarranted and resulted in a bruise on my inner arm. I would like to stress that I was not acting in a disorderly manner that could have led to my removal. My friends, who were present during the incident, can attest that my behavior did not warrant a removal. I was not given a chance to explain myself or given a chance to get back inside the club. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide me with a resolution. I look forward to hearing back from you. I would not recommend this club to anyone in the SF bay area, they are compliant with security who will manhandle and assault you even if you didnt do anything and already spent $$$$ on bottle service. My friend and I went to see Will Sparks who is a world renown DJ who I have been dying to see stateside for many years - and this place basically ruined seeing him for me. The remodel of Temple has made it into a Vegas club, meaning there is very little room to dance and there are now a ton of VIP booths. The sound quality is GARBAGE compared to the Midway or Great Northern. The crowd is how you would expect (mostly terrible and disrespectful). Even if its another DJ I love, I would never ever come here to see them. Listening to them on my airpods would be better. The staff, though, was very nice. read more

I don't know how I always end up at Temple. I guess it goes to show how much fun I always have here! During my most recent visits, I did notice a change from before. Although this night club is still packed, the volume did noticeably die down. In the past, the EDM and Hip Hop floors were always packed, I would say near max capacity. Temple was THAT poppin'. Nowadays, I would say the EDM floor is 50% filled and Hip Hop is 75% filled. I guess the plus side is there is always room to dance, where that would have been an issue before. The last 3 times I went, they closed down the small dance floor in the back. I would love going there to take a breather and relax on the couches. It had a swanky lounge atmosphere with bumpin' house music. Temple sometimes offers complimentary tickets with entry before 11 PM. I get random texts and Facebook messages from them for the promo. It's sporadic and doesn't happen every week, but I'm always keepin' an eye out for them! read more

Came here for a yoga immersion class. It was so funny since I use to come and party here all the time when I would go clubbing. It was such a nice but weird surprise. To wind down at a place that winds you up. The yoga class was great! Hands on if you like and I do. I love when the instructor comes up and redirects how you are doing something. As soon as you walk in you trade your shoes for slippers. Then you pick a spot and yoga. After yoga you can get complimentary tea. Or water. For some reason I thought you get a complimentary stuff drink since every thing is served in a whiskey glass. But anyway, fun! Will go back read more

With the slew of new reviews coming in I can no longer stay silent. I use to come here a lot but we got a "VIP" table for the first time and this experience was UNACCEPTABLE. First, we called in and was quoted at $1200 for 7 people and so we were fine with that. The moment we finally got inside, our "VIP" table was actually HALF A TABLE split with another group. Are you serious?? 2 racks for half a table?? We couldn't even seat the whole group. Next, our host said we needed to SPEND AT LEAST $2000. What happened to our original pricing that we were promised over the phone? I wasn't able to complain then because I had to use the bathroom which was ridiculously unorganized. Waited over 30 minutes and it was packed body to body with barely any room to move. Not to mention it was so hard to breathe with no AC system. Pretty sure this was fraud but I'm no lawyer. This place is so fucking nice. ‍ the music is amazing, the vibes are unmatched, the drinks are good (expensive) they put a good amount of alcohol. it is very good located, i went there this Sunday they just opened a rooftop and it was such a nice experience, it was very fun. They have a lot of places where you can go eat very near there, the parking sucks but we luckily found a great spot 2 min walking.
