It is very traditional in its liturgy but…read morealso highly participatory involving all members of the congregation in readings throughout the service. The rabbi is very thoughtful adding somewhat of an east coast ethos to his erudite Jewish training that keeps things very interesting. I stumble along to follow the Hebrew throughout the service but find the Shabbat respite to be worthwhile even with my limitations. It is worth mentioning the building and facilities are superlative.

The sermons and other commentary was incredibly stimulating -- along with the liturgy, i found myself with a lot to reflect upon. (That's the purpose in many ways, isn't it.). The prayers -- humanist in focus -- are definitely different from the more traditional service i'm used to, but I could relate to each one and many of them touched my heart. All were beautifully written --prayer as poetry. If you come, come with an open mind. I hope you'll like it, too.

Interested in the humanistic qualities of Beth Adam, I decided I would head out to Loveland and give it a chance, and I am very glad I did! From the outside, the building is very unassuming, minus the stained glass windows which are made to represent the big bang theory. Once inside, there is a library, a number of different pieces of art and remembrance pieces on the wall, and the main area of congregation. Overall, the inside of the building is very modern and really gives you a sense of just how well modern Judaism has adapted to our changing world. The only thing that stops me from giving Congregation Beth Adam a five star review is that it is just entirely too expensive to become a member here. However, if you are in the Cincinnati area and looking for something a little different in terms of a place to get spiritual, I would highly recommend checking this synagogue out. The people are friendly and very welcoming of guests, and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Rabbi Sanford Kopnick and the rest of the staff and leadership are all warm and caring and really strive to make everyone feel like a part of the family. My kids love going to the Religious School, they even had a great time when we were all virtual! There is always fun and engaging programming going on and not just from the Temple as a whole. The Sisterhood and Men's Club have wonderful events open to the whole congregation as well. I would highly recommend Valley to anyone looking to join a reform synagogue.

Rabbi Kopnick has managed to work well with all the congregates from the children to our senior members. It is a place I feel at home being there and it is like having a "big" family. I have participated in many aspects of the Temple from attending services to volunteering on the board and even being president for 2 years. Just come and experience it yourself. It's not only a facility for getting healthy but also a place to bring the local community together. They have monthly events for all different ages. I attended a cocktail 101 class with my wife and loved it! Most staff are pretty nice. My only big beef is that the cafe inside had better hours. But I love the indoor walking track. The local police are there everyday to make sure everyone stays safe and that gives me much comfort for my lgbtq family. Lots of parking outside and plenty of handicap spaces as well.
