My son is a Ramen nut. He says he loved this place so because of him five thumbs up Every time we travel we hunt for that place. I taste the both and it was tasty.

Super quick service and a great choice for lunch or dinner! The tenkomori ramen comes with your choice or broth, noodles, pork slices, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. They give you a tray to add extra ingredients a la carte including chicken karrage corn and soft boiled eggs. I also had the pork tonkotsu curry which had a modest serving of meat and generous rice and delicious curry. Seating is limited so you may have to share a communal table. I believe it's cash only.

Cash only! This place is similar to Oiden and the noodle place beside it so we gave it a go. Pricing seems similar and ordering method is the same as well. We didn't try the ramen since it was too hot but the pork and kimchi rice bowl and curry were tasty albeit pretty basic. There are additional condiments available if you need extra flavour

This is a review of two bites of "ramen". The "tonkotsu" is really just milk that tastes vaguely of pork, with garbage-smelling pickles thrown in, a very lean pork slice that I didn't care to eat, and an egg. With a broth sickly white and unappetizing, I didn't feel this bowl of noodles were worth my calories. Save your money and go elsewhere. Would I come back? No. I think I'd have to be paid to eat this, and that's in the realm of 3 digits at least. Not nice at all.

From one good ramen review to a bad ramen review. It was a sad day when I encountered this place. I was definitely tricked by this place. My inner (well and outer) asian came out and was attracted to the sub $10 price for a large bowl of ramen. Like no way!!! Yeah no way indeed. My bowl was just soup, noodles and a few veges here and there. Not even an egg in it let alone meat. It was a very very very sad meal. I'd rather pay the extra $7 you'd normally have to for a decent bowl of ramen somewhere else. I feel sad again writing this review.

Ramen! So many new Japanese places popping up around town! The area around town hall should be called Japantown and its a good thing because I heart Japanese food because its good on the calories/figure (there's a reason why you don't see too many fat Japanese people!). This place is highly recommended if you love ramen and the cheapness of Hana Hana. Perfect for students who can't afford to go to the upmarket ippudo in Westfields or those living in the city, it's another reason/excuse not to cook.

    Miso ramen. Regular $4.80

I love everyone slurping around me!! That's a first. I'm a little jealous that I decided to go with the miso base. My "healthier" side wanted a lighter broth and this bowl is quite light. I've added corn for some colour and it had a good portion of green. Noodles were so so. First time I haven't ordered the preferred density but they were nice to the bite. At $4.80 for a regular plain miso ramen you can't go wrong. Many other options including garlic, breaded chicken, of course pork and more. Spring rolls were crunch and delicious $1 each. Gyoza were $3 for 3. The ambiance is fun, like an indoor courtyard. But Next time I'll try my fav silky tonkutsu!!

Quick, cheap, and a great value. Nothing here is the best but most are decent and well worth the money. You start by placing your order and then go down the line selecting sides and drinks. You pay at the end of the line and look for a seat with your food in hand. They have cups and tap water on the side.

Fast cheap noodles. Although the same chain of jap stores, this place has some quick ramen for you. 4 stars based on price. 6.40aud for tonkotsu plain ramen large. No meat but hey, cheap cheap

All this for $10.50 including an extra egg and drink! Miso broth did not disappoint

Absolutely love this little ramen spot. So much so that I came two nights in a row on my Sydney trip! If you need a late night bite at a cheap price, look no further. At these prices, I could even throw in an extra soft boiled egg and drink for a total of $10. Both their ramen and curry dishes hit the spot and were deeply satisfying. Seriously, can't go wrong here.

Review Highlights - Tenkomori Ramen House

The food is about average, with the Ramen's pretty fresh and the soup is good, but the Gyoza I've ordered appear over-cooked and very small in size.

Inside wasn't bad, the table was big and the chairs comfortable. We were waited on immediately. Servers fly around like dancers, it's actually pretty impressive. Our food arrived in no time. My wife had fish and chips and I had lamb and rosemary pie. She enjoyed her meal. Mine was different than I've had before. It was still ok but I wouldn't order it again. Others would probably like it, it just wasn't for me. We didn't have any dessert but as you walk in the door they have some wonderful looking pies and cakes. Do yourself a favor and save room for one of those. I messed up and didn't try something. This is actually a really cool restaurant that I would like to try again. I wouldn't let one dish that didn't hit my taste buds keep me away.

I understand it can get a little busy at times too, so there might be a wait. PRO TIP: make an online reservation and get seated right away! I had a couple of goals when visiting Australia... and one of them was to try kangaroo. The Rocks Cafe delivers with their Kangaroo Filet! And you can get it gluten-free! The sauce is a bit rich for me, but you can brush some of the sauce off with your fork. If kangaroo is not your thing, then there are plenty of other options on the menu... and the crowd around us all looked pleased with their orders. After you are done with your meal, you just go to the front/reception area and pay your bill. Easy peasy! Overall rating: ****FOUR STARS**** Gluten-free rating: ****FOUR STARS****

A couple of my friends recently returned from Sydney, and they said if there was only one place…read morethey suggest I go to eat - it was Restaurant Hubert. Specifically the happy hour. So I did! They don't take reservations for their 5-6pm happy hour. You can only line up at 5pm when they open. We got there right before 5pm, and there were probably 10 to 12 people in line. Once the doors opened we were led downstairs to the bar area. It's a very dark, and feels like you've been transported to another time and place. We decided to try one of each of the food items on the happy hour: - Duck Parfait - Good. Classic French item and they do it well. - Brandade d'anguilles fumée - OK. I know it's eel, but wasn't very distinct from any other fish. My least favourite dish. - Saucisson Sec - Good. Simple. - Fleur de Courgette - Very good. Delicate and delicious. I should've ordered two of these. - Normandy Burger - Very good. The one item my friends raved about, and it was clear why. A burger with the best ingredients is hard to matched. I got the extra side of fries which is equally good. Best dish of the meal. Service was relatively good, except at one point they asked if I wanted mayo for my fries (very French) and I said yes, but it never came. Other than that, quite good. This was easily my favourite meal of my trip, holding up to high expectations. I would return on my next trip to Sydney.

I have dreams of Restaurant Hubert's Chicken Fricassée…read more Note: Happy Hour is walk-in only from 5PM - 6PM. We came on a Thursday evening and there was a line inside prior to opening. I highly recommend getting here early to get a seat during Happy Hour and stay after to enjoy some live jazz after 6PM. The restaurant was easy to locate with a sign upfront. The entrance is just a door in the wall with spiraling stairs leading you to an underground jazz bar and restaurant. It's upscale and romantic, but several other people were dressed casually. We sat on a shared table with three other strangers until we ordered off the full menu and our Chicken Fricassée arrived. The service is top notch and everyone was attentive, polite, and kind. We started off with the happy hour menu and ordered the Duck Parfait. I didn't know what to expect. The croutons were crispy and delicate and the duck liver was easy to spread and airy. The Normandy Burger was juicy and the bread was fluffy. But the star of the night Chicken Fricassée - wow! Incredibly tender, juicy, and garlicy. The sauce had a mashed potato buttery, smooth texture. Absolute must get.
