Beef Brisket and poached eggs on waffle
    Alex S.

The restaurant has a very rustic, hipster atmosphere. It reminds me a lot of Austin, Texas. The beef brisket waffle that I ordered was smaller than I expected, but delicious all the same. If I feel like splurging again, I'll definitely come back again.

Try the Magic Barista Coffee Fortune Telling. No, I can't tell you what it involves, you'll have to try it out for yourself. IF YOU DARE. So I want to eat the waffles because the photos look cray but I'd already had brekkie wekky when I came here so I had to settle for a tea and some fun banter with the barista, what a legend Mr. I Never Caught Your Name. But your positivity was a real boon, let me tell you that. The outside chairs are cracking but I also kinda wanna check out what I imagine is a pretty industrial-chic interior. Which will happen when I get those waffles.

Melb's awesome Proud Mary's hits Sydney! Stumbled upon this and can't wait to check out the brekkie options! Do the cold trip!

Already Impressed. Stumbled upon these guys and they were already packing up, but thought to try my luck to score a coffee and sadly the machine was closed at 4. But! They didn't leave me hanging and offered me a cold drip. BAM! Served on ice, this bad boy totally hit the spot on this 30degree afternoon! Will be a winner this summer! Do it!

Gluten free toast with poached eggs and butter.

This place is cool. Almost too cool for its own good. From the grungey dis-affected staff to the cold drip coffee it screams Brooklyn style. It was hard to find our way in initially. Word to the wise - walk into the space and the entrance is at the back to your left. Staff welcomed us at lunchtime on a Saturday in the most casual of ways and seated us promptly. Drinks orders were taken (no smoothie or fresh juice options - shame) and we were left to peruse the menu. We were after breakfast for lunch and chose this spot specifically for their all-day-brekkie. But alas, here we have another menu that forgets about dietary requirements. No vegetarian, vegan or gf options identified. SIGH. I ordered poached eggs with gluten free toast with butter for the toast. I don't know why but I always have to ask for the butter. Is it not fashionable to butter your toast anymore? I wasn't in the mood to run through the entire menu and do the 'let me ask the chef' conversation to figure out what I could eat so simplicity was the order of the day. My friends cold drip coffee arrived and I had a straight up bottle of OJ. My friends meal (the beef brisket) turned up after around 20 minutes. Mine showed up around 10 minutes later. The brisket looked impressive - succulent and tender and the waffle underneath coated in chili oil. My friends only complaint was that the waffle was soggy underneath. Other than that the report was good! My eggs were poached a little too long and had more hard yolk than I would have liked. They were runny overall though, and the gf toast was beautiful and dense and flavoursome. Prices were good and service was good. The staff didn't blink an eyelid when we stayed chatting after our meals. I'd recommend this place but would prefer to see more fresh drink options.

What a cute coffee shop with good food for our first spot in Sydney! We had the avocado toast and the waffles with brisket, so so good and the servers were very helpful in recommending other spots to try after!

For Troy's birthday breakfast, this gem was hidden away- review will come soon!

Absolutely fantastic, albeit initially hard to find. I had the smashed avo, and it did not disappoint. I also had the "magic" coffee, while I appreciated the enthusiam and spark that would encourage a coffee to have such a name, I found it to just be a latte- however it was a very good latte. The avocado was zingy, the toast well done, could not be faulted except it might have done with more seasoning, however as the waiter provided us with salt and pepper, it was great. I also had a taste of the chilli brisket, the flavours were just superb and the brisket was cooked to perfection BUT I wish there was more of it, or that it was cut a bit thicker. The ambience of the place was just what youd hope for in a sydney cafe, the prices were reasonable, again going to eat in the city you sort of know what youre in for. Would recommend if youre ever walking by.

My friend and I came here after a 15 hour flight and it was a great choice. The brisket and waffle is highly recommended. The coffee is to die for and the staff was so friendly and nice. They made us a list of places to go throughout our trip. We will be going back tomorrow for sure.

Slightly hidden place, but this was one of the best meals I've had in Australia so far. The brisket waffle with chili butter and the pancake we're both AMAZING!

A cool little hidden spot! It was difficult to notice but worth the visit. Their coffee is fresh and sweets looked good. I opted to go for the John Mclane - toast mixed with poached egg, kale, mushrooms. Really tasty. Downside: a little bit pricey for the quantity of food.

    Brisket Waffle

AMAZING! Had the Avocado Pumpkin Toast and it was so delicious. We also ordered the waffle brisket and it did not disappoint. Server was so nice and informative. Best food in Sydney. We will be coming back before we leave.

This place was delicious. I had the brisket and waffles and it was the best thing I had my whole trip to Australia.

Stopped by here to grab a takeaway. There is seating inside and the food smelled quite delicious, but I only had eyes for coffee. Which was top notch. My strong flat white was the perfect temperature and tasted great. Super excited that there's great coffee in that area.

Looks pretty cool !!! ..... or is it the Champagne effect ??
    Joe D.

Wow !!!! ..... Loved the place .... The coffee was Awesome .... The food was Awesome ... the service (with two people away) was still fine by any standard. Its got space, atmosphere, and a good amount of funky vibe to make you want to come back .... and I know I will .... you just know when everything works ..... and it did ..... I now want to come back one evening and see what it's like at night ....... I shall return !!

You can add more to it such as heirloom cherry tomatoes, avocados, greens; garlic roasted field mushrooms, pork sausage, eggs or smoked ocean trout. I opted for scrambled eggs and it was a breakfast for champions NGL. Soooo good! Paired with the orange blossom matcha milk, I'm in heaven! I'm not really a citrusy kinda girl but that combo was divine. I needed more caffeine though for my long day ahead so I got a large mocha-- just the buzz I needed. The vibe is very aesthetic, industrial chic with high ceilings. Love the tables as well as the pitchers that look like Aesop bottles haha. I was really torn between the shokupan yuzu French toast and stracciatella, chilli and hazelnut toast but I'm glad I went with savory. Absolutely what I needed for today's adventures. Service was amazing. I was seated immediately but I came 15 mins after they opened so that's probably why. I'm so happy I added PCP to my Sydney itinerary.

I felt the prices were high for the quality of food and service. We both had the Chilli Eggs and while my husband enjoyed his I was expecting something with more flavour because of the name of the dish and the ingredients. There were no potatoes served with the dish, just sourdough toast under the eggs, so I felt the serving size did not justify the price. $21.00 for 2 eggs with no spice and toast. Seriously!! They even, one morning, came over to confirm something about my order that I'd forgotten to note--very nice. The food was good. My only complaint is that the toast was overtoasted, even a little burnt. But that seems to be par for the course for restaurants in Australia--it happened other places as well, including in Adelaide. One morning my daughter ordered the avocado on toast, and she said that it was just guac. IDK. But overall, it was good and convenient and the service was very good.
