Questions were treated as outside scope or unnecessary rather than addressed transparently. I was also told that clarifying how prior returns were prepared would require significant billable time, even though I was not requesting new work -- just confirmation of what had already been filed. Ultimately- this firm may be a good fit for clients with simpler situations, but those with multi-state or non-conforming tax issues may want to ask detailed questions up front about scope, documentation, and follow-through.
